Rowan would walk through the halls, Mal beside him, a small smile on his voice. "Hopefully the art teacher won't mind," he'd say with a chuckle, looking over at her. "I'm happy you came up with this idea, it's a really good one."

He'd stop at the art room, opening it for Mal and then stepping inside. He'd glance around, not really sure where they should start. "Uh...newspaper on the floor right?" that sounded like a good idea. He'd start digging through the cabinets.

Opening one of the top cabinets he'd find the newspapers, which would then slide out, falling over him. He'd stumble back a bit but managed to keep from falling. "Well.....," he'd chuckle, "I found them." @Abbysaurus

"I'm pretty sure any time people are making something in here the art teachers are happy about it." She said with a grin, walking into the art room and helping Rowan to set down the papers. Especially when she saw him having some trouble with them.
"So, uh, what kinda stuff are you thinking about trying?"

"I.....I don't know," chuckles, "I'm not even sure where to start." He'd think a moment before stepping into the closet and pulling out two canvases for them and setting them up. "I guess we can just grab paint and just kinda....start," he'd say with a small laugh.

He'd help Mal find the paints and brushes,. "Should we just start with the first colors that come to mind?" he'd ask twirling the brush a little in his hand. "Should we just throw paint at them?" he'd ask with a chuckle and a smile.

Opening up the paint he'd dip his brush in some red, staring at the canvas he'd brush a strip of red.

"Yeah, starting with one colour sounds good!" She said, dabbing her brush into a pale pink before starting to make a few strokes along her own canvas. She tried to think about what she was feeling as she did, glancing over to Rowan.
"So, you got any idea what you're gonna paint?"

He'd think about her question a moment. "W-would......would fire be a weird thing?" he'd ask clearing his throat. "It's.....I don't know....its all the voices want....burn this, burn that," he'd say with a sigh and a shrug.

Rowan would dip his brush in yellow and add it to the canvas, then orange. He wasn't really trying to get the shape of a fire, he was just focusing on the colors of it all. "What about you? Whatcha gonna paint?" he'd ask with a smile.

He'd tap his paint brush a little, unintentionally flicking a bit of paint on his cheek, which he didn't notice.

"I don't think anything's weird when we're doing this, I think that's the point." She said, continuing to make a few strokes with the pink before dipping her brush back down into the black paint and continuing to work.
"Go ahead and do fire!" She wasn't.. totally paying attention to what she was painting herself, but she was starting to form figures.

He'd hum in thought, glancing at her painting and back to his. "Fire it is," he'd say with a chuckle. "Guess were.....kinda going with the flow," he'd tap his paintbrush again, unintentionally getting a bit more paint on his face.

Then he'd get started again, his hand moving thoughtlessly, the orange, red and yellow swirling on the painting. His mind was blank, just putting color to canvas on instinct to an extent.

Finally he'd stop, blinking, looking at the progress he'd made. "Huh.....," he'd look to her, paint still on his face, "this is...I don't know...kinda relaxing?"

She was going just as blank in front of the canvas, switching colours every few strokes and adding and adding and adding. She kept on going until she finally heard Rowan speaking next to her and looked over.
"Yeah, it's really kinda just coming out, you know?" She said with a smile, taking a moment to glance at his canvas.

He'd nod, adding a few more strokes of paint to his, his fiery eyes looking it over curiously. "Weird huh....been here almost a year...never once considered painting," he'd say a chuckle, adding more to the swirling fire colors.

Rowan would glance at her, watching her work. He wasn't sure how long they'd been at it, time seemed to mean less as they painted. "It looks really cool," he'd say, glancing at her painting.

Looking back to her he considered something. Finally dipping his finger in his orange paint he'd lean over and would quickly dab a little on the tip of her nose with a chuckle and a playful smile.

So far hers looked like a rainbow of figures in a circle with whatever was inside or outside still unfinished. She took a break to look back at it, smiling. "Yours looks really good, too!" She said. She blinked in surprise when he dabbed the paint on her nose, getting some of it on her fingers when she reached up to check and wiping it off on the bandages on his nose with a giggle.
