"Put down your guard, tough guy, or I'm gonna have to raise mine.," she enunciated lazily, hand reaching for the sharp piece of metal protruding from her pocket. Before she could finish her sentence, though, Azlin was calming the blond. Nero.

"She's right. And I've got some experience in it, too. Broke out of Maalal, Sfuoen, and Gembre."
She was obviously proud of herself, and for good reason - those were pretty okay prisons. Cockily, she put a hand on her hip and gave out an infuriatingly smug grin. "I can also conduct electricity and control gravity. Nice ship, by the way. Beautiful hull."

Nero's hand left his gun, but it didn't stray far. He made a general point of keeping his guard up even in company he could trust. They didn't seem to have been followed, but he'd been around enough to know there were ways to thoroughly mask one's presence. He was looking Ianthe over. "Well, those are some impressive credentials. You found us a co-pilot and mechanic... nice work. Extra set of hands will definitely make this go a lot faster. Cambrissa's actually asleep at the moment, but you can compliment her all you want when she wakes up."

He stretched and gestured for them to follow him back into the ship. "I'm Nero, the real Captain Nero, and captain of this vessel. I'm sure you could tell from the looks of things we've got a lot to do before we can blast outta here."

Azlin just gave Nero a pleased, and somewhat self-satisfied look, as she stepped into Cambrissa. She had had a feeling Yon was a good choice. They had met through chance, and Az felt there was something about her...something that made her believe she was one of those that did not really deserve to be here on this planet of disillusion and decay.

"Cambrissa has been through a lot," Azlin agreed as she sat down on one of the seats that might have been one of the co-pilots and lightly caressed the metal controls as if the ship were alive and she was comforting it - which in a way she was.

"Please. Try having ten. new sets of hands." She shrugged and lifted all ten arms into view, extending one near the top of her torso to shake Nero's hand. "Yon's my name. Like 'beyond' but no 'be' and 'nd'. Pleased to meetcha." Not her full name, but it worked. Besides, names were like handcuffs - you could change them if you grew out of them, so it didn't really matter. Plus, she wasn't too keen on trusting the real Captain Nero - if he was the real Captain Nero - just yet. Azlin liked him, but it wasn't the first time that her friends had been wrong.

Of course, her attention was only on the pair so long before it drifted into wondering how this grand of a ship could ever be on this stupid planet. A party yacht! Such beautiful bevels; boltage shiny and polished; even the copilots' chair was smooth and perfectly fashioned. What a gorgeous ship. She made a note to compliment this ship - Cambrissa, was it? - more when she was repairing her.

Trust was a rare and precious commodity on this planet. He was pretty sure Yon as she was calling herself didn't quite trust him, just like he wasn't completely trusting of her. Trust was something earned. He'd earned Azlin, and vice versa. It was a bit of a motivating factor to get her off this planet if only to see the beauty the galaxy had to offer. Nero saw this as a minor setback that would lead to a fresh start.

"Well, that's even better. It's almost as if this was something meant to be," he grinned shaking one of Yon's many hands. "I'm assuming Az gave you the rundown of everything we need to fix up. Fuel's well... the big thing. Some skizze brain jacked our girl's nav chip too. We're also gonna have to get shields, and a basic weapons system installed too."

"Yeah, something like that," Ianthe grinned, shaking Nero's hand with one of her own. "Azlin did give me a rundown of the, er, rundown. I'll be able to fix the chip problem pretty easy, as long as I can find a different nav chip from the broken ones over here. Shields, I'll see what I can tinker with, but the weapons I've definitely got covered."

"As for the fuel... I was just telling Azlin about a hack some dude on Maernep came up with to get a ship to run on biofluids instead of electricity. I don't exactly remember too much of the hack, but I've got a few friends who can bolt a letter to him. I got connections, Nero."

Azlin nodded in agreement with Ianthe's biofuel idea.

"Good Onwyx, we have lots of waste here. This planet is one great big dumping ground," she stated.

"I think it's a great hack and would solve one of our biggest problems... that is if we can even outfit Cambrissa with it," she remarked as she laid a hand on a console panel.

"That's the part I'm worried about," Yon told Azlin, voice low. "I'm not sure I can do i. There's a lot of unfamiliar wiring here, no tank, and I don't want to hurt this beauty of a ship. I'm going to try and power her with electricity first. Then if that doesn't work, then I'll try the biofuel way, because biofuel's kinda hard to obtain on planets like the Martian Ruins." She held her head in one of her hands. "Shouldn't be a problem, though. Bet I can get her to work."
