<div align=center> Jealous… That word kept getting thrown around, used in contexts not associated with the genie. Of course, the only one who believed this was the prize-of-a-guy himself, who threw around obscenities about both her and the invoker. A quick glance of hers towards Carl attempted to investigate the effects of the ex’s instigation. He was keeping his cool… For now. And though she knew his pride was a force to be reckoned with on its own, she didn’t quite know where the line was drawn with him. When things started to burn, she’d probably know. But she wouldn’t let it go too far. Patience didn’t need to be tested.
The more he talked though the more he nailed in his disgustingness. Loralei stifled a chuckle, as if to loosen up the increasing anger building within her. â€ÂJealous? Of you?†She then began to laugh harder, finding his mindset ridiculous. â€ÂOh, of course. Forgot how envious I am of people who beg and whine like a spoiled toddler for a woman to come in and whisk away their first world problems. God, you really are pathetic.†There were stronger words for this feeling. She could have cussed him out with her presumably deep repertoire of vulgar insults, but… No. Even if she really wasn’t she had to at least pretend that she was better than that. So when Carl became a major component of the argument she fell back to only intervene when necessary. She told herself she didn’t care; that these were just worthless words of a worthless guy. And yet.. Well, some of it was true.
Keep ‘em coming… She thought to herself in a low grumble. Everything was building up inside of her. The adultery she was famous for, the remarks against Carl, and the general egotism that proved too much for the group already high in it. He needed to be struck down. He needed to get through his thick skull that everything in front of him wasn’t an act. He needed to…
And just then, Carl had gestured for her. Taking herself out of thought she looked at him with wide, puzzled eyes. And there’d be the proof. And the final straw. From what she knew, Carl did answer genuinely. She hadn’t done anything yet out against her will. everything thus far had been warranted by her. The other guy? She could never say that with him. Or anybody, for that matter. So when the time came for her summoning she of course complied. Standing up from her bar stool she haughtily padded over to Carl. There, she did as she was suggested and sat down on his lap, folding her legs as her small frame was now in the hands of the invoker. Better than the other guy, that’s for sure.
Just then, she began to speak once more.
â€ÂOh, no. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll fess up- I’m a huge fucking slut.†She began, grin forming at the corner of her mouth. â€ÂBut I don’t need the attention. I do what I have to do as my species requires, plus a little fun on the side. I pick a master and hope like hell they don’t screw me over. Obviously I was stupid enough to think a prick like you would do anything to help me. Well, at least in a way that would have an immediate pay off. But you know what? You actually taught me something. You taught me just how many assholes there are crawling on the Earth’s surface, waiting for the right moment to surface from whatever cesspool they spawned from to seriously take advantage of anyone who throws their pathetic asses a bone. You, and about twenty other people have shown me this. So thanks for that. Really.†Was she being genuine? Hard to tell. But as she looked back to Carl, that pent up tone of vengeance began to quell a bit. She blinked, as if trying to recollect her thoughts, before looking back to her former confidant. â€ÂWord of advice though- don’t insult him. Because, once again, if you’ve been paying attention to my rules you’d know that messing with a genie’s master is pretty much a big no-no. Besides, Carl here is ten times the man you’d only think of being. Unfortunately for your case, that isn’t saying much for you. So unless you want to forever be at the ranks of septic waste, I’d advise you to get your act together before one of your little friends turns out to be someone that could blow your head off clean from your shoulders. Just a little hint from me to you.†With that she quieted once more, calming herself from that outburst. there was so much thrown between them, so much resentment that reflected on the rest of her life that had been thrown out on the table. She had said so much and yet… Well, one more instigating remark was due. all this teasing about her current master was false in her mind, as hinted by the sudden glance to Carl’s lap and back up to the other. â€ÂBigger than yours, anyway.â€Â</div>
