She was stressed, it was easy to see, turning was proving difficult even if she was only in the early stages. The cat girl would knock on Tadashi's door, entering once he said she could. "Hey little bro, you got a moment?" she'd ask as she closed the door behind her.

"I brought a few balls of yarn," she'd toss one to him, then letting another two drop to the floor to roll around. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything, just....really needed to talk."

The cat girl took a seat on his bed, her tail swaying a little behind her. "We promised no secrets going forward, so there's something happening that I needed to tall you."

Tadashi's door wasnt locked and he had no problem with Shiro coming in. Amusingly enough though his bed was perfectly made up until she sat down on it. He hadn't been sleeping in his bed much of late.

In fact he wasnt immediately visible as she came into the room. At least not until he launched himself, in cat form obviously, from his perch up on a tall wood wardrobe to pounce on her. Or rather the yarn she was tossing, since he became distracted by them in mid-pounce.

But of course the joy at chasing yarn balls was reduced some at the mention of needing to talk about something. That didnt sound good at all so Tadashi dragged a ball of yarn towards Shiro and looked up at her. "Um... I guess I should be pretty worried if you had to bring yarn to distract me. Is this something really bad?"

She opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it. "Was going to tell you not to worry but I think I promised to not tell you that since its sorta in your nature," one of her cat ears would twitch. "So just know that I'll be ok, there's just going to be some adjustments."

The cat girl would clear her throat. "So....you know how I've been a bit light sensitive? With the migraines and all that?" she'd rub the back of her head, "and how my eyes have been a little red later."

She'd scoot back a little further onto the bed. "Well...uh...not sure if you noticed, but uh...my teeth also started getting sharper," she'd clear her throat again, letting those details sit for a bit, to help prepare Tadashi and to see if he put the pieces together. "So.......I'm turning...into a vampire that is."

Tadashi was clawing at the balls of yarn as he listened to Shiro. More and more aggressively so as she listed off the symptoms and he became more agitated.

"Why?! Is this Anya stuff again. If it's her I'll-" he cut himself off from saying anything more by angrily biting down on a section of loosened yarn and whipped his head to the side like he was taking a bite out of someone.

"Are you dying? I dont want you to die, Shiro!" He exclaimed with panic and left the yarn behind to jump up onto the bed, pressing his face against her side.

"No Anya isn't involved," she'd pick him up hugging him, "and I'm not dying, just going through some physical changes." She'd run her hand over his back, petting him, trying to keep him calm. "A friend gave me a cloak to help with the sun, and I'm learning about blood since I'll need to start drinking it soon."

She'd start scratching behind one of his ears. "So, yeah, it's just going to be a lot," she'd lean back, still holding him, "a lot of changes and a lot of adjusting for me."

"Anyways....I just....thought I'd better tell you before it will starts hitting hard," she'd give him more pets. "I....," she'd pause a bit, "I.........ok...I'm scared...I know I'll be ok, but I'm scared," she'd finally admit, her voice cracking a little at the end.

Tadashi forced himself to go limp in her arms, absorbing the comforting contact and trying to push away the worries. Futilely, but he didnt want to get too upset and fail to comfort her back. She had to be so scared.

His little heart was beating like he'd just ran a mile but he ignored that and scrambled up to put his paws on her cheeks. "I'm terrified I'm gonna lose you. But... I'm here, Shiro. I cant not worry but thank you for being honest."

Tadashi's head was spinning. He still wasnt over all the other crap that was weighing him down. But apparently that was just how things were going to go. More stress and more stress until he popped. Or found some relief. Either way he rubbed his cat face against Shiro and tried to be as fluffy as he could. As if that was actually something he could do.

Maybe he should have shifted back to human form for a true hug. But he was hesitant to do that

The cat girl would take a breath and continue to hug him, trying to stay calm and stay positive. "I'll be ok....we both will," she'd take another breath, "I'll just have adjust a few things." It was a lot more than a few things, but again she was trying to stay positive as there was going to be a lot of changes.

"No more sun, so I'll be wearing a cloak to help with that," she'd nuzzle her face against Tadashi's fur a little. "Just gotta keep an eye out for the other vampiric weaknesses, garlic and silver and all that craziness." She was probably going to accidentally hurt herself a little as weaknesses started popping up.

"Luckily I don't eat Italian a lot and don't wear a lot of jewelry," she'd say with snort, continuing to pet her brother.

"Shirooo, that's not funny," he chuckled as Shiro joked about food and jewelry. His paws reaching out to poke at her cheeks.

Despite himself the playing around was cheering him up a little. "Maybe we should lock you in your room so you can only study, brainiac." His tail flicked with mischief rather than the previous drooping despair.

"I'm glad you arent hiding this from me, you know. Family is really important to me"
