Another One Bites The Dust

Beatrice lowered her eyes as the girl began to speak once more. Oh honestly... she thought to herself, trailing off with a roll of her eyes. Hmm, that was a very popular thing the two girls were currently doing. Rolling the eyes, that is.

"Life is good. Why complain? It's not that long, and if it really bothers you, you're welcome to go kill yourself or something." At that, Beatrice nearly gave herself a headache from having her eyes so very lowered. "Why would I do that? That's ridiculous. I happen to like my life, and don't intend on ending it anytime soon. Yours, however, I don't like. I would have no problem ending your life this very instant."

Oh how Beatrice loathed the fact she had no useful powers. Well, they weren't useful in this case. The only way you could probably kill someone with her abilities would be to scare them half to death. And that surely wouldn't work on this girl. Maybe an eighty-five year old woman, but not Danica. Beatrice wasn't stupid, she knew this girl probably had powers beyond her. What with some of the stuff she'd heard of her.

Danica was taken aback. "Oh, sorry!" she said, and she really meant it. "I didn't mean you go kill yourself, I mean the people who whine about how terribly awful their life is. I seriously didn't mean it! I wouldn't think you'd want to kill yourself, at all... ever..."

What can't I just shut up? I really really didn't mean to offend her! I sound whiny enough... and my life really isn't bad! You could call it good! I DO CALL IT GOOD! AHH! Danica drew in an exasperated breath and sighed. I'M SO FREAKIN STUPID!

"I'm just gonna shut up now..." she said to Beatrice slowly. The last thing she wanted was to make this girl even more mad at her! She seemed like the kind of person who you wouldn't want to mess with.

Beatrice sighed. It was clear this girl hadn't meant it like Beatrice took it. Which merely mean she had read the Dani girl wrong... or the Dani girl just couldn't word herself properly. Beatrice chose to believe the later.

Dismissing the whole topic, Beatrice lazily wandered over towards her. "Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot, no?" She began, cocking her brow just before extending a hand towards Danica. "I'm Beatrice Lavina, seventeen year old mimic." Beatrice replied, deciding against giving the little information that she could force her appearance to change. Maybe she'd reveal that later on, if Danica was worthy of even being around.

Mimic? What the- Eh, whatever. I don't care enough to figure it out. Danica shrugged. "I guess we did. That seems to happen between me an a lot of people." Why had she told Beatrice that? Not the best thing to be telling someone you don't want to hate you.

Danica pretended she hadn't said that and continued. "Danica Martinez. I'm 14." What am I supposed to say? WHAT THE HECK IS A MIMIC? Is it her powers? A mimic of what? The devil? No, Danica, remember, we're trying to be NICE to this girl. Well, not nice, but something close to that. Polite? Danica began ignoring her thoughts, or rather stopped thinking, because thinking always gave her a headache. Probably because she had conversations with herself.
