Addy was normally known to be doing things she shouldn't. Mostly because regardless of everything she was dealing with she was still fourteen. Of course it was hard to remember that when she was caught up in the moment but she figured building sandcastles wasn't that horrible.

Well sand castle was more like a sand palace in her mind. She was attempting to stay out to of the water. Addy hated cold water with a burning passion. She would only get wet if she had to or really wanted to.
She was unaware that anyone else was on the beach with her because she was so absorbed In building a castle. Once she was done she looked around, wondering where all the people came from.

Spotting someone her age she decided to enlist their help. "YOU THERE GOOD SIR, I REQUIRE YOUR ASSISTANCE"
She yelled jumping up her tail knocking over the bucket of sand. She went to hunt him down just case he tried to run.

((HECK THIS IS LATE @MARIE Sam is still going to get her a ukulele i promise))

Sam had gone to the beach that day in hopes of catching a wave of two. Of all the sports he played, surfing was probably one of his favorites to take part in... even though it was often too cold to do in his hometown. Between the school years was when Sam most often gave in to his love of the surf, though he sometimes went as far as braving it when the months began to go cold. Perhaps he wasn't a surfing prodigy, and perhaps he never had the chance to ride a big wave, but he loved it all the same.

So, that day, Sam was fully planning on taking advantage of the larger waves off towards the other end of the beach. Such a fact was confirmed by the surfboard tucked carefully under his arm. He was walking towards the end of the beach, an earbud in one ear, when a voice called out to him from behind. Sam turned, raising an eyebrow, just in time to see a girl making a beeline for him. Well, maybe 'girl' wasn't enough. She had cat ears, a fluffy tail, and one of the most beautiful faces Sam had ever seen on a girl his age. Holy heck. And she was running towards him.

"U-uh, hey!" Sam managed, clearly surprised. He turned towards her, adjusting his board so that it wasn't sticking out so much, and offered a smile. "How can I help you, my lady?"

Shh, it wasn't that awkward - at least, that's what Sam tried to convince himself of after speaking. It was the girl that started it with 'good sir'! He was just going along with it when he said 'my lady'. Honest!

((okay so this is not one of my better posts, but it will suffice))

Addy barely stopped in time not to knock the poor boy over. In fact she had stopped inches away from bumping into him. She knew running in sand wasn't a good idea, but she still did it. Taking a step back she looked over the slightly taller guy and then nodded in appreciation. "Yes hello, my name is Addy. You've been chosen by the Help Addy Foundation, to be my sandcastle partner." She said a seriously adorable expression on her face.

Did she just randomly walk up to a hot stranger and expect him to drop everything? Yes, Yes she did. Did she care that he was probably busy and had girl friend? No, No she didn't. Addy was pretty much self-centered at times, she knew this, she knew other people knew this. Was that an excuse? Nope, but that didn't stop her from wanting to get her way all the time.

"Unless you have a girlfriend you need to be with. If that's the case then, she can come help as well"

Sam just grinned as the girl ran up to him, not even flinching as she nearly bowled him over. What could he say? He played football. Tackles were nothing, man. Anyway, as the girl quite blatantly looked him over and nodded to herself, Sam couldn't help the small flare to his ego. It was nice to be noticed... especially by someone so pretty. Yes, yes, it was very nice.

Smile still in place, Sam nodded as well. "I'd love to be your sandcastle partner, Addy. I'm Sam," he said. He was pretty chill, all things considered. It wasn't like hot girls made a habit of requesting his partnership - at least, not this directly - but Sam wasn't about to make a scene out of it. He was a chill guy. Chiiiiiill. Even if, inside, he was doing a little happy dance.

"Girlfriend? Nah, I'm single. New to the island, so I haven't had a chance to test the waters~" Sam said, winking. However, his smooth, player-ish facade was quickly obliterated with a small, dorky laugh. "Nah, nah, I'm kidding. I'm a gentleman, really. So, this sand castle, yeah? You sure your boyfriend won't mind?"
