Annoyances are universal

I thought, Irina pondered, that study groups are for studying. This is why I hate freshmen.. Sitting in a secluded corner of the library, the plainly dressed sophomore buried her nose in a C Sharp programming book. Just previously, her computer class had decided a group outing to the library to help them "study" for the test. Of course, Irina knew that meant the irresponsible people would be taking answers from the ones who actually knew what was going on, and pleading for help on the test next Tuesday. It was the same everywhere she went.
With a sigh, Irina flicked a piece of black hair out of her eyes. Dealing with people is a pain. At least there's no group projects in programming classes. As she continued to skim the pages for the required reading, a voice came from above. She looked up with disinterest and found a pair from the study group looking down at her table.

"Hey, Irina," a bubbly blonde called. From beside her, her boyfriend waved with clearly no effort being made. "We were, like, wondering where you went! Did we do something wrong?"

Without thinking, the answer spilled out of her mouth. "I just want to do some actual work."
The blonde looked annoyed with that answer; it wasn't the one she wanted. "Well, we are working!"

"Not really."
"Ugh!" She whipped around and pushed her boyfriend. Apparently a caveman's signal to get moving. "You're such a bitch!"

Irina watched them go with bored eyes. They'll learn....Well, maybe.. All freshmen ever wanted to do was be lazy and drink. Irina hated that-making others do the work that you are responsible for. No matter where she went, with humans or gifted or whatever they were, it was the same. The girl looked back to the book, and ran her finger down the edge of the page. She winced as a papercut sliced her pointer finger, and she brought the cut up to her face. After a few seconds, the skin reformed together, and it was back to business as usual. How boring.
