Name: Anima Vendemmia (Soul Harvester)
Age: Unknown
Birthday: N/A
Gender: Agender (scythe), Androgynous (humanoid)
(Goes by He/Him pronouns to make it easier)
Species: Inanimate Object: Soul Weapon
Category: Citizen
Career: Aiding Fal'zyrus in his fights

Appearance Description: Humanoid: Anima Vendemmia appears as a demonic being in humanoid form. The wings on his back only have a 5ft wingspan and are 3ft wide. They're there for show and nothing more. His eyes are golden in color with a slit for a pupil and his hair is straight black and short, styled in a typical messy style for any teen and it's long enough to frame his face with what would be bangs. He is very pale skinned and also looks very young with his smooth skin and baby face, though his height would have you think otherwise as he stands at 6'3". His ears are pointed and his eyes glow eerily when he's in darkness. He has fangs like a vampire's when he grins and claws on his hands and feet. His weight is next to nothing despite all of this but during the state in which he carries his weapon, he weighs roughly around 153lbs. Despite his baby face and smooth skin, his features are angular, giving him a sharp look that just radiates the feel of "I'm dangerous, stay away" despite his adolescent look. He also has a very lanky look to him. He's not very muscular looking at all but he definitely seems very agile.

Humanoid Clothing Style: Anima's clothing does nothing to sway the feeling of him being a dangerous man as he wears a black leather duster coat with a heavy belt hanging loosely off of it and silver buttons showing that it can be buttoned up, though he wears it open at all times. He wears black heavy leather boots with strappings that keep them on him and look like they'd be steel-toed combat boots, which they practically are. His pants and shirt are unremarkably dull and are also black in color.

Scythe: Anima now appears as an ordinary scythe. There's nothing extraordinary looking about him aside from the runes engraved onto his blade and the aquamarine gem embedded at the hilt behind his blade which seems to shine with a life of its own from time-to-time.

Scythe Release Form: If it wasn't known before, it is now known that he is no ordinary scythe. His blade transforms into a jagged edging that points towards the wielder, letting it be known he's meant for capturing, tearing, and rending the flesh and souls of his opponents. The blade's color becomes the same color as his gem which now rests in the eye socket of a demon's skull that adorns the back of Anima's hilt. His shaft becomes wrapped in black leather bindings and claws are now formed at the end of the shaft. The shaft, underneath the wrapping, gains the appearance of fossilized bone.

Personality Description:
  • Loyal - Anima is loyal to those he's close to and is especially loyal to Fal'zyrus. There isn't anything he wouldn't do for the warlock because he trusts his judgment.
  • Courageous - Due to the influence of Fal'zyrus, Anima is willing to put himself in harm's way if it means protecting another, whether he is a scythe or a humanoid. There may not be much he can do alone, but he'll do what he can to help his master and follow his beliefs.
  • Proper - Anima doesn't look it but he's actually quite the gentleman, even when Fal'zyrus isn't around. Despite how Fal'zyrus tells him time and again not to, he will always call him as "Master" because he can't help it as the title comes to him automatically. But he means it well despite the entitling behind it.
  • Patient - Anima can be extremely patient, mostly because sometimes he doesn't understand what's going on or being said. If children are excited around him and think he looks cool, he'll just smile and wave to the children because he doesn't understand what they're excited about with him. He doesn't have much in the way of emotions unless he feels strongly about something or someone so he comes off as very patient.
  • Honesty - A two-edged blade in Anima's hands, he's honest to a fault. Being an inanimate object and disconnected from the living for so long, he doesn't know what's right to say and what isn't. When asked for his opinion, he will always give it honestly, even if it's a little harsh-sounding. This doesn't usually do very well when he's trying to make friends.
  • Apathetic - Anima can sometimes come off as being apathetic. It's not that he's meaning to be but sometimes it's hard for him to understand why someone is feeling the way they are. Even his voice sounds apathetic more often than not, especially during a fight.
  • Cynical - Due to his previous circumstances before coming to Fal'zyrus, Anima has deeply rooted trust issues. No matter who you are, he will always be wary until you prove yourself as not a threat to him or his master. This is somewhat what makes him sound so apathetic.
  • Subservient - Anima is subservient to Fal'zyrus and Fal'zyrus alone. He follows his commands without question due to the trust they've accumulated over the years between each other. He could willingly become the same with anyone else who earns his trust but Fal'zyrus will always come first and foremost. While this goes for any wielder he becomes soulbound to, that doesn't mean he likes it or his wielder. It's just something that comes with being what he is.

Active Abilities:
  • Dormancy (Scythe and Release Form) - Anima can choose to make himself become 'dormant'. This is where he locks up all of his abilities and prevents anyone from using him against Fal'zyrus or anyone else if he's stolen. His blade disappears as well, leaving them only with a shaft. When like this, Anima himself becomes 'asleep'. Fal'zyrus becomes unable to call him to his side or sense him.
  • Form Shift - Anima can choose to become a humanoid if he desires.
  • Soulbound - Falzyrus and Anima are capable of speaking to each other through telepathic communication if they so desire to. This is a must on Anima's part in his scythe and release form but a choice when in humanoid form. This also allows them to sense when the other is in danger. Anima can use this soulbind to teleport himself to his wielder but Fal'zyrus cannot come to Anima in the same manner. Rather, Fal'zyrus can summon Anima to his side. Anima can choose whether he comes or not, though and Fal'zyrus cannot be within 30ft of Anima to use this summon.

Passive Abilities:
  • Incorporeal (Humanoid Form) - Anima is unable to be harmed by the living realm and does not require rest or sustenance but he can taste. Only the souls of the dead (not undead!) and any holy/light energy, magic, or objects can harm him and force him into a dormant state.
  • Summon Weapon (Humanoid Form) - Fal'zyrus can summon Anima's scythe form to Anima using the soul energy he's stored. If he uses enough energy, he can also summon his released form, if he uses the phrase though this must be said mentally. He can even give himself a copy of either his scythe or release form but both require higher amounts of soul energy, with the copy of his release form requiring almost all of the energy that Anima has stored. This allows the two to fight alongside each other. This allows Fal'zyrus to be doubly empowered by having two of Anima's scythe/release forms alongside him and allows Anima to use his own release form powers in his humanoid form.
    • However, this ability only lasts for 5 minutes if he goes full out and gives both Anima and himself his release form, 10 Minutes if he gives Anima and himself a scythe form, 15 minutes if he gives just Anima his release form, or 20 minutes if he just gives Anima his scythe form. If he uses this ability for its full durations, he must go into a dormant state (where his scythe form has no blade) and recover for 24 hours. These durations, however, can be shortened by injuring Anima as this is the only time he can be physically harmed as well, for using this shuts off his Incorporeal state whether he wants it to or not. If he's injured, his recovery time is increased depending on the severity of his wounds, up to 48 hours with a fatal wound.
  • Soul Call - When Fal'zyrus calls out a certain phrase (Rend their hearts, Anima Vendemmia!; this phrase must be orally spoken), Anima can shift his scythe form into a more powerful scythe (also known as a 'release' form, with the phrase known as a 'release' phrase). He gains extra abilities in this form and empowers Fal'zyrus. No one can use this phrase except him for only the chosen wielder can call to the Soul Weapon in such a manner.
  • Soul Harvesting (Release Form) - Anima absorbs the soul of anything that he pierces or kills. Undead better watch out! Just even getting a scratch from his blade, pieces of one's soul can be harvested. The bigger the wound, the more he absorbs. The longer his blade is touching someone, the more he absorbs. But it is only by touch.
  • Energy Storage (Release Form) - Anima stores the energy he absorbs from souls. This energy can be accessed by Fal'zyrus in order to empower a single attack and he must draw upon the energy for at least 3 seconds for every attack he empowers. The more energy he takes, the longer he must focus himself on Anima.
  • Magic Empowerment (Scythe and Release Form) - Fal'zyrus becomes magically empowered by Anima's presence and thus he can use Anima to channel his magic abilities into much more powerful forms.

Weaknesses:
  • Soul Gem (Scythe and Release Form) - Anima's soul is stored in what is known as a soul gem on his scythe in the form of an Aquamarine gem. It is there in both his scythe and release forms and while not necessarily fragile, if enough force is behind a blade or blunt object hitting it and it cracks his gem, he will go into a comatose state. This state can only be taken care of if his soul gem is repaired which is a unique process only available to him from his creator or another "Soul Smith", so he may as well effectively be dead here in Manta Carlos if that happens. Breaking the soul gem entirely causes it to fade away along with his soul, instantly killing him.
  • Incorporeal - The souls of the dead (not undead!) and any holy/light energy, magic, or objects can harm him in his humanoid state and force him into a dormant state with too much damage. Holy/Light objects can also harm him in his scythe/release form and force him into a dormant state as well with too much damage.
  • Soulbinding - While Anima's soul is indeed intertwined with Fal'zyrus's, it doesn't mean he can't be forcefully unwound and bound to another wielder but it will definitely be something that takes a lot of time with how bound he is to Fal'zyrus though neither will notice it happening when done over short periods of time.

Biography: Anima Vendemmia was created by a Soul Smith back on Fal'zyrus's world. He was eventually separated from his creator when they were cursed into a book and he ended up carried around by those who wielded him for evil deeds. He was found by his creator again (who was released by Fal'zyrus) in the hands of the foreign invaders and reclaimed by him. Anima's creator was a mentor to Fal'zyrus and is also a close friend. At age 29, he was gifted Anima Vendemmia by his mentor as a way of congratulating his student for excelling in his advanced teachings. While at first, Anima didn't trust Fal'zyrus due to his history of bad wielders, they eventually became close friends, too and have been through everything together.
