As Saeta's wings flapped Abigale fell silent. She watched the beautiful feathers move in such a natural and fluid way. It was captivating. Not like the shit birds back from her time. Their wings were fouled and discolored. In many cases, feathers were missing exposing patches of bald skin underneath. The Demons were no better, either having wings with blackened feathers or massive wings made of skin and bone. These, though, were white and pristine. Much like a fresh snowfall. They reflected care and dedication, while still maintaining a sense of grace and power.

She was caught up in them, their movements. She wanted to touch them, to see if they were as soft as she thought they might be. she felt an incredible urge to touch them, just for the briefest of moments. strangely it wasn't just curiosity that was driving her. There was something else in the back of her mind that needed to feel them, for no other reason than the fact that they were so beautiful.

In the moment Abigale had zoned out. She was lost in her own thoughts and the fantasy of being surrounded by those wings. When Saeta mentioned that she was destined for greater things, Abi managed to snap back to the moment. "What.. No yeah. I mean I suppose if the Valkyrie haven't come for me, it's because I still have much more to accomplish. Fate and all that." Her response had been a tattered and vague one at best, but it had been all she could muster as she escaped her own fantasies.

"And what about you? You serve your lord. But what else? What do you want?" A fair question, given that she herself had just expressed one of her own wants.

It was at this point that Abi finally noticed the state of her own clothes. The jumpsuit she was wearing during her repairs was covered in grease, and now fresh burns, as was the white tank she wore underneath. She sighed and without another word walked over o a nearby fallen tree. Incidentally, she had knocked it over with her rig weeks ago, and now it served as a clothes rack when she was busy working on her rig. Hanging from one of the branches was her coat, another shirt, and a fresh pair of pants. She was still listening to Saeta as she quickly stripped out of her damaged clothing, taking her time to stretch her slender frame before, putting on her everyday wear.

[Tom=https://i.imgur.com/ntKdX8l.jpg, #cc6666]Saeta watched Abigale as the other woman became transfixed by the movement of her wings. Her answer was half-formed, distracted. A small amused smile crossed the angel's face as she considered her own question thrown back at her.

"I do not know what I want, truth be told. I am still getting my bearings here. New places, new customs. No war to fight, no parlay to make. But I look forward to the challenge."
As Saeta spoke, she watched Abigale go strip to change into fresh clothes. She neither flinched away nor gawked, but watched briefly for a time with idle curiosity. She was a beauty, well proportioned for her height, and athletic; the body of a soldier.

Her curiosity got the better of her though. Abigale's clothes were drying on a felled tree. The way the area around her rig was set up, it was almost like a camp. Was she living out here? Would it be prudent to ask about it? Would it be rude? Eventually, Saeta shrugged, her choice made.
"Would you like to come with me to get something to eat? My lord wishes for me to make acquaintances here. I could fly us to the city. It won't take long at all."[/Tom]

The last thing she put on were her boots, lacing them up in a quick rhythmic fashion without watching what she was doing. Saeta had invited her out for food, which wasn't a bad idea. She was after all pretty hungry. and the excitement from earlier had left that hunger feeling exaggerated. Maybe they could grab a beer too. It would be customary for her to at least buy the angel a round anyways, as a way of thanking her.

"Alright... Something to eat, and a beer on me. How's that sound then?" Abigale said as she stood up flipping her jacket on with a practiced flourish. There were a few places they could go, plenty of high-end restaurants. Naturally, those were places she didn't seem to fit in well, though. Truth being she was a simple girl with simple tastes. Any places that could cook up a half decent burger and fries was good enough. none of that fast food garbage, though. lord knows there was no value in eating something like that.

"I know a nifty little place not far from here. They can cook up some good food, and the atmosphere is light too." She meant a pub n grill that wasn't far from here. she had eaten at it a couple times now and had not been let down once. It was small and out of the way, not very busy and run by a fellow who had no real need for money, He just wanted something to do.

"Let's head off then. I am feeling a bit hungry."
