Aside from his standard issue firearm, Angelo possesses his own special gun which he keeps handy for special circumstances. This style of weapon has been nicknamed the mage killer, and while Angelo hates that name its fairly accurate.
The gun itself uses mundane bullets, no different from those of Angelo's police firearm. However, bullets fired from the gun have a special effect: They disrupt magic. Any magic hit by the bullets become nulled, and a backfire effect kicks in, preventing the source of the magic from using any magic for five minutes. If the gun is shot at a magical item putting up a shield, the bullets will knock the shield out and stop the item from reactivating for five minutes. If the gun is shot at a mage putting up a magical shield to protect themselves, the bullets will knock the shield out and stop the mage in question from using any magic for five minutes, as well as probably putting a bullet hole through the mage in question, since the shield will have had no effect.
