Height: 6'0

Personality Description:
"Hey Teach', why are you so boring?"
Andre... Well, he doesn't care. Why should he? Shouldn't his gifts be used to do something to actually benefit him? But he was outnumbered and overpowered by the law, so doing whatever he wants like dropping out wasn't an option for him. As a rebellious teenager, it's not uncommon for him to be caught skipping class. He lives by one rule, "Don't ever let yourself get bored." And when that rule is being broken, he doesn't care what rule or law there was to restrict him, he was going to defy both of them in order to cause havoc and create his own circus, just as long as he was having fun at the end of it all. The safety of others, not his problem or concern. Selfish and prideful, but with such strength, his personality was bound to shape the way that it did.
Now, should others have as much fun as he does with his antics, or prove themselves to be just as fun or chaotic, he'll have an attraction to them. Perhaps not as a friend, but he would love to see what acts they carry out next, seeing how he can assist them and perhaps even cause diversions or distractions to help them out. And those who show genuine concern for him and what his stunts will do to him, he'll try to invite them to his lifestyle instead to convince them how free they could be using his methods. Of course, he wouldn't blame them or hate them if they chose not to join him... Just as long as they don't snitch. No one likes a damn snitch.
If someone bothers him, he perhaps might pull a prank or two of them, the severity of the prank depending on how pissed with him. But after one of those, he will get over it without question and be back on neutral terms with them, considering that prank to make them even.
Now if someone does angers him beyond return, he likes to gamble a little bit. Most punishments are carried out through simple games, which can be things such as extreme versions of Uno or Dodgeball. Him against those he feels should be punished, and usually the games have a twist in them that will mentally mess with both sides should they both choose to carry out the game. However, if an opponent decides to try to cheat their way out of the game, he will use his illusions to punish the enemy that dared try to escape fate unfairly. There is nothing worse than one who can't take a loss, especially when the odds of winning are 50/50. Of course, he himself is not immune to this rule as well, as the game can also screw himself over should he end up losing, depending on the game.
Species Abilities:
Shadow Travel: The darker the area around Andre is, the more his body blends with it, as he is made from pure darkness. With this, he can merge with darkness and travel through it as a shadow before reappearing out from a different area of darkness. However, this can only work when there is an amount of darkness bigger than the average human shadow. Further, should he travel through light instead of darkness, he will feel an immense burning sensation on his body until he gets back into the darkness. Should he spend too much time in this shadow travel form while in the light instead of a shadow, he can be wiped out from existence.
Shadow's Will: Andre's abilities that involve darkness will have maximum potential while within darkness. However, he will not be gaining any energy while this is the case. A shadow feeds off of light to be created, so while Andre is exposed to light, he gains energy. However, to use his dark-infused powers while covered in light will make them now so effective.
Bloodline: This is a Shadow taking the form of a human, sharing the same human characteristics. Unfortunately, this includes hunger, thirst, sleep, etc. While these are not "necessary" to live, he is heavily hindered if he decides to go without them. Like how a human is drained without sleep, clenching their aching hungry stomachs, dry throats and overheating without water. Should one show forms of fear or terror around him, he obtains energy from that as well. And any form of light magic used on him will have their negative effects negated. Lastly, he can see perfectly in the dark.
Powers:
Illusions of Chaos: Using his shadow magic, Andre can form illusions to mess with the senses of all surrounding things around him. Due to this requiring shadow magic, these illusions are most effective while in the darkness (But never impossible to break out of). While in light however, they are not as strong and breaking them shouldn't be as much of a challenge should one focus hard enough to doing just that, sometimes even just having to be aware that they are illusions. These illusions are designed to cause mental trauma, and if they go far enough, the trauma can turn into physical trauma (Ex. Paralysis, Coma, etc). Regardless if there is light or darkness around Andre, the target may bypass these illusions should their mental tolerance be reasonably stronger than his own power. Being aware of the illusions can make this an easier task, but it isn't required.
Shadow's Feed: To protect a Shadow Nightmare while exposed to light, some of the light used to feed energy into Andre will be converted to increase his physical capabilities to higher heights. He can lift up to a ton worth of weight and can run up to 15 meters a second. However, this is an active power, and must be activated and deactivated. While activated, and power that specifically uses shadow magic cannot be used until this is deactivated. Any shadow magic reliant powers or abilities that are active before this is activated will be negated completely.
Biography:
"Stop being a little bitch, the rules ain't gonna hurt ya if you don't get caught."
Born from the darkness, made from darkness, being darkness. Andre is a literal shadow, a "Nightmare". The common shadow perhaps, but the shadow of a cultist who sacrificed for the sake of a spell came to life after said spell had been cast. This shadow took a physical human body form that appeared to be about 6 years old. But the instant he had been formed in the cult, he instantly used his Shadow Illusion powers to kill the one who brought him out, the price to be paid for one to cast out the spell in the first place. Made from true evil with such a cruel condition, but he lived to serve, and his order to murder his summoner.
The rest of the cult ran from him, assuming he would come after them next. But instead, he would fall onto his knees and begin to weep like an innocent little child. No conscious of what he had done while he had done it, like he had been possessed... Which was indeed the case. He didn't know what he was or his origins of how he was brought into the word. Instead, he was just like any other kid who needed love and had his own personality. And that personality even had the potential to be shaped to be a sweet and loving little boy, growing up to be a very delightful and respectful adult in the future.
Instead, he was left alone there to cry, sleep, grow hungry, thirsty, lonely, and wincing his eyes in pain as they all collapsed onto him. No one visited the building for days, leaving a defenseless child to suffer until he died... Assuming he would even die the way a normal human did. Almost one week passed, and the child was on the ground, weak in the cult temple before then found by a priest. At this point, this child was in a painful sleep, and so the priest would tend to him and bring him out of the cult and back to a church instead. The priest then gave him the name, Andre Meadows, as contradictory to his species as that actually was.
This child was raised to be a priest of his own, but he never really clicked with the church. It was not that his blood prevented him from learning, he just never had an interest. Andre wanted to do normal things as a kid, and would often end up getting scolded when he did such things. This might be going outside to see what was out there, or perhaps even walking outside of the church without permission. They meant well, but they went about it the wrong way, and a child only rebels when they are being given rules. Thanks to this lifestyle, he ended up increasing extremes with is incidents, learning to avoid getting caught and get what he wanted. His powers of illusion and enhanced stats allowed him to carry these tasks out.
And eventually, that one day at the cult caught up to him, as he then received the letter from the academy about him being "Special". Andre wanted a newer lifestyle, and so he would end up taking the opportunity.
Additional Information:
Andre is a character that has a short attention span. He abides by the rules until he gets bored, a very important thing to note should one try to bind him by rules. Also, he has no filter when he speaks. Swearing every now and then.
