And I can feel the warning signs

Gabe slammed the door of his dorm room. He was furious. He had half a mind to go to William about his 'friend' Michael. The other man had practically treated Gabriel as if he were a young child with the way he spoke to him. So patronisingly . Who did he think he was ?

How dare he call me jealous?, Gabe wasn't jealous. Or at least, he tried to convince himself that he wasn't. Michael had, of course, been right. However Gabriel didn't even know that himself yet.

Gabe exhaled irritably. His blood was not boiling anymore, it was however on the verge of bubbling over again. Yet Gabe was now on a more rational level of thought, and he realised that if he were to go to William about this the boy would most likely get mad at him , he favoured that Michael guy too much. He could only hope William wouldn't find out about it from other sources.

<div align=center>As it was, William had found out, and he was angry about it. He had no idea why Gabriel had to behave like this, he had no idea why he always insisted on being so nasty to Micheal. The winged boy was merely protecting him, he was like a big brother to William, and he distrusted Gabe, he didn't know him very well, that was all, the two were so incredibly different that William supposed it was hard for them to get along. Still, that wasn't a valid reason for Gabe to be so vile towards him, Micheal was a good friend to William, he didn't understand why Gabe hated him so much.

William didn't feel angry very often, but right now he was more or less fuming, it was difficult to get angry with Gabriel, but he was protecting his friend, just as Gabe would protect him in certain situations. Micheal had threatened Gabriel, but he'd started it, Gabe hadn't had to yell at Micheal, he hadn't had to insult him and snap at him. His hand flew to the handle of Gabe's door, and he tugged at it a little, he wanted his boyfriend to let him in, though he wondered if he knew what was coming.

William didn't know if he felt bad about this or not, but he was so cross at the moment that his head was filled with blind fury. It was strange to see William angry, you wouldn't have guessed he was aside from the more than slightly wild look in his eyes. "Gabe!"</div>

Gabe heard the yanking of the doorknob, the scrabbling of the fingers against the door. Someone desperately wanted to get inside. As it happened Gabe knew that person was none other than William, and unfortunately for Gabe he mistook this as a sign of excitement.

"William? Sweetheart hang on, I'll be at the door in a minute," Poor Gabriel still hadn't put two and two together. He wondered why Bill was so excitable right now. He went over to the door and opened it, letting Bill inside.

"Hey Bill, 'sup?" Gabe's tone died a little as he noticed the expression on William's face. He couldn't quite place what was different, but Bill looked scary.

<div align=center>"What did you do?" William growled, pushing his way in and slamming the door behind him. Poor Gabe had been so unsuspecting that he would have felt bad if he wasn't so angry with him, but as it was, he needed to have a stern word with him. He glared at him, his gait stiff, and his expression stern. "I'm getting really tired of this." Gabe and Micheal had disliked each other from square one, William had no idea why, and he had no idea how to make them change their mind about each other. He'd tried so hard to make them like on another, but it was so hard when neither boy wanted to be friends with the other.

He stamped his foot, and folded his arms, he thought he should have been a little more concerned about behaving like this towards Gabe, since realistically Gabe could be incredibly dangerous if he wanted to. William had decided that one spark out of him and he'd use his own powers to stop his boyfriend from hurting himself, or anyone else for that matter. William wasn't really concerned for his own safety at the moment, he just wanted Gabriel to get it in his head to leave Micheal alone.</div>

"What did I do?" Gabe tilted his head, letting the words sink in. He didn't know what William was talking about until it dawned on him, he must have heard from Michael what had happened. Damn that fricker must have ran straight out of the class bawling to William, though in reality he doubted Michael had been 'bawling', it was likely the other man hadn't shed a single tear.

"Oh," Gabe said as he realised, "you mean about what happened between Michael and I?" He tilted his head, "'cause I had a perfect right to do that, William." He sighed, he didn't know why William was so het up about this. Surely he would be happy that Gabe had tried to protect him from someone who was obviously a dangerous influence to him?

"Why are you giving out to me?" Gabe snapped. "I was looking out for you, you said that Michael took you cliff jumping and that you were scared and you never mentioned the fact that you were on his back. It sounded like he had forced you into it and as your boyfriend I wanted to stop him from doing that ever again. Because I didn't want you to be put under pressure to do dangerous things but evidently you don't appreciate the fact that I was looking out for you." Gabe clenched his fists, you could practically see steam coming out of his ears.

Gabe hated to be ganged up on and right now he felt as though Michael and Bill had done exactly that.

<div align=center>Looking out for him? William scowled for the first time in a long while, that had made him angry, "oh, alright." He answered, his voice almost eerily calm, one of his eyebrows cocked up. "So by screaming at my best friend not to try and kill me, you thought you were helping, did you?" He asked, tilting his head to one side. As it was, Micheal hadn't forced him into it, and he told Gabe that. He was irritated that he'd basically called Micheal a dangerous person, when he was in fact the one that had convinced him more or less to stay with Gabriel after that certain incident, though, not in those words, he'd merely explained a lot of things to him, that made William feel much better about his relationship with the older man.

"I told him I'd go with him." He muttered, "those things on his back? Yeah? They're called wings. He can fly with them!" Bill had a lot of faith in Micheal, he trusted him completely, and with his life, in fact. There was a tiny chance that Micheal would ever drop him, and if he ever did the winged boy was fast enough to catch him very easily. William liked adventure once in a while, not at the time perhaps, but afterwards. He couldn't understand why Gabe didn't understand that.</div>

"I think you're over-exaggerating a little," Gabe scowled, "I didn't scream ." Gabe never screamed, he shouted, there was a difference. "Well you didn't tell me that before hand." Gabe mumbled quietly. "I didn't know...you made it sound like he had forced you into it..." Gabe bit his lip. "I told you I was going to give out to him and you didn't stop me then!"

Gabe scratched his head, he was starting to feel a little ashamed of his behaviour. He didn't think William would get so angry at him. He supposed that was his main problem, he never thought before doing things.

"I'm sorry," Gabe said quietly, "I misunderstood...I didn't know you had been flying on his back,I thought you'd just been holding hands while doing it or something." He bit back a flash of anger, he didn't like to think of Michael holding Bill's hand.

"I guess... I guess I just got a little jealous as well."

<div align=center>William snarled, and stamped his foot. "I didn't think you were being serious!" He yelled, baring his teeth a little at Gabriel. Gabe tended to joke around so much that William seldom took him seriously, the conversation had moved on so quickly back then that William had disregarded it completely, he'd actually forgotten about it until, well. Gabe didn't think before doing things all that often, and it made William angry. The way Gabe was backing down all of a sudden suggested to William that he was winning, a little glow of satisfaction lit it's self in his brain, it was a good feeling.

I misunderstood. "Well if you misunderstood then why the hell did you bother to make accusations?" He growled, clenching his fists and gritting his teeth together. The next thing Gabriel said could have made William explode. I guess I got a little jealous. What right did Gabe have to get jealous? Surely he trusted William enough to not get jealous? Of course William yelled this at him, his brow furrowing in a rather nasty scowl. It didn't matter that they were dating, "you have no right to tell me who I can and can't be friends with!" He glared, "and so you let your petty jealousy get in the way of what is essentially my happiness!"</div>

"Why not?" Gabe raised an eyebrow. "I was completely serious, as you can see." He narrowed his eyes towards Bill, if his own boyfriend never took him seriously well then, they had a problem.

"Because at the time I didn't know I'd misunderstood, duh?" Gabe shook his head. "Why the hell would I go and accuse him of things if I knew the other story? I didn't know that before, no one bothered to explain it to me did they?"

"I never said you couldn't be friends with him," Gabe snapped. "Now look who's making the accusations." He scowled at William, "it's not even like Michael would blame you for things I do anyway. He'd just get mad at me."

<div align=center>William hadn't known that, but evidently now, he did. He drew a breath and let out a long, deep sigh. He had no idea what to do with Gabriel half the time, sometimes he was the sweetest guy in the whole wide world, and sometimes he was like this, he did stupid things sometimes, and William knew that Gabriel knew that, the man's ego was far too large to ever want to admit that though. Then again he sucked up his self confidence enough to admit he was jealous. At least there was that, that fact made him smile a little, he's so stupid. He sighed again, it wasn't that Gabe was stupid, he was merely impulsive.

"Well that's why I fucking defend you all the time!" It was the first time William had sworn since the two had been in a relationship together. The boy rarely ever swore, and it was strange to hear the word leave his lips. He didn't really like the way it felt, it was rebellious. Rebellious was not a way to describe William. William defended Gabe constantly around Micheal, he blamed everything on himself, whether it was Gabe's fault or not, William would place the blame on his own head, and he frequently told Micheal it was his own fault.</div>
