Jafar and Babadi, the duo who is going to take a grand trip all the way back to Mes. Who is the Babadi character you wonder? Well it's the messenger boy who some super rich family on Mes put all their faith in to get this letter to Jafar.

He was already dressed and packed to go, once he had received the letter he immediately prepared to leave with Babadi. He didn't think about anything else other than hurrying up to leave until he was ready. That's when Jafar realized he had to inform Mal.

This wasn't thought out properly and just having to leave out the blue seemed liked a no no. This is why he suddenly became worried…..plus they had to kinda hurry to not miss their ride.

No one was answering the house phone. What was going on? Malara had skipped the bus, boosting her strength to let herself just run the whole way home. Taking leaps over fences rather than going around. It was faster, more exciting, even if it ripped her panty hose. Especially then, really.

She reached the penthouse and, again, rather than bothering with the door or the elevator decided that jumping was her best option. Another couple of boosts and she was up in the air, grabbing onto the balcony ledge of her penthouse and pulling herself up.
The door was never locked. Why would she bother? Half the people living here were powerhouses, and on top of that they were six stories up.

"Jafar? Pandora? Chloe? Girls? Is anybody home?"
Mal called out as she stepped through the door, unbuttoning her suit jacket as she did and tossing the pumps she had removed earlier to the side.
Someone was bound to be home. There were too many people living here to just be gone all at once this time of day.

Babadi wasn't much a looker, who wore plain all white robes and was covered from head to toe with bandages. The only skin that was shown was the seen around his purple eyes since the bandages had perfectly cut eye holes.
He was fidgety and couldn't stop moving and continuously checked the time.
“This is taking too long.” He stated with a bit of annoyance.

Jafar simply ignored the kid’s comments about time and how little did they have. He was going to wait for Mal and wasn't going to leave until he had a chance to say goodbye.

A few more minutes had passed before Jafar heard his name being called beyond others. “And she is home. I’m here!”
Sitting down his two bags, Jafar went to Mal and smiled. “Malara, it’s good that you are finally here....and It seems the balcony was the quickest way to get up here then.” He smiled as he made sure to close the balcony door behind her to not let in pesky flies into the home.

”My dear friend here was getting a bit impatient waiting and he didn't want any tea…” And for a moment he frowned for a quick second and returned to that usual happy face he makes.
“I do apologize for not picking up the phone...I was in a bit of a hurry to pack things."

Babadi eyes peered at Mal through the bandages as she walked in. He actually visibility tensed up a bit before relaxing more. “Finally…” he muttered under his breath and then quickly bowed to her. “Goddess, Pardon me I will give you two some time to talk.” With that, The bandage man was going to give them some space so after picking up Jafar’s packed bags he carried them to the door.
And he would stand there and to impatiently wait.

There was a stranger in her house. She couldn't see him at all under the bandages, but Mal could see those familiar purple eyes. And his accent was unmistakable. A Praxian, one she didn't know, just in her house. Malara felt her body tense up, ready to fight. Jada's words snapped her out of it though.

"Pack things?" Malara's anger flashed briefly. Her mind immediately went to thoughts of Jafar leaving her, like Noli and Cat had. She caught herself though. Jafar wouldn't do that. He had always been there for her.

Inhaling slowly, a technique she was rapidly becoming accustomed to, Mal set her eyes on the bandaged Praxian leaving the room. He at least had enough respect to not show his impatience visibly, though she could still taste it in the air. Or maybe that was what the bandages were for.

"So... what's with bandage man? Why is there a Prax I don't know in our house? And why are you... packing?"

“Yes pack things..” Jafar nodded to her as he motioned to his already packed bags.

“I had premade some food for the week for you all you just have to reheat them. I also cleaned and restocked the bathroom and kitchen so everything should be fine until I get back.”

Jafar looked over to where Babadi.

“I uh I'm not sure about the bandages but he was here to deliver a letter to me. “ Jafar pulled out a envelope and then took the letter out that was inside of it to hand to Mal.

The letters contents were a bit vague though it addressed to Jafar and a few details on how they are reaching out because they believe that he is the family's long lost son they had been searching for and would like to meet him. There was also some info explaining Babadi would be in his service until they both safely return to Mes.

It was all really good news which Jafar was very happy and excited for.
“I uh...never thought it was possible! Malars I have a family and they want to see me!!”

Malara took the letter, but looked it over before reading. The paper was expensive, the script clean and practiced. And then there was the watermark. These were wealthy people, minor lords or high standing merchants from Mes.
Then she read it, her eyebrows furrowing and her jaw set. "Your family? That's-"

She didn't know what to says. This was crazy and unexpected. And those feelings of worry flared brighter. Would Jafar leave her for his family? Would he go and not come back?
But he seemed so excited. Maybe the most excited she had ever seen him. So she mimicked his smile, looking him dead in the eyes.

"This is wonderful! I can't believe your family found you. It's-"

The smile fell a bit, and she folded the letter back up. She wanted to confirm. Even with his history, Jafar still had tells. He could fool everyone else, but Malara could feel the anger always simmering below the surface.
"So how long will you be gone?"

Jafar nodded with excitement! This was great, he finally gets to meet them.
“I can't believe it either, I had given up searching when I came to look for you.”

“Uh….Babadi said I would be gone for three days. I won't be gone for long.” Three days. That shouldn't be that long of a absence since they will go by quick. It would probably be like he never left and especially since he cooked stuff to last those three days.

“I would like you to come but I want to meet them first. If that is okay with you….?” Jafar had his reasons for wanting to go alone, mostly personal reasons. Not like they were bad reasons he just really wanted to do this himself.

Malara frowned. She couldn't help it. He didn't want her going with him. Who was he to... A pang made her mouth twitch though, and she shook the thought away. Not long ago, Mal had begun to slowly realize that while Jafar had been so loyal since he came into her service, she hadn't really ever done... well, anything for him. She wanted to change that.

She broke out her smile again, nodding once. "You don't have to ask permission. But it's alright. You go and meet your family. Take as long as you like, really. And we can go meet them together some other time."

Did that sound alright? Was she doing the right thing? Or was this going to turn into another fiasco, with yet another person she loved, or thought she loved, leaving her? Mal leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Jafar. "I love you. If you need me while you're there, call. I'll be there in an instant."

“I….” Well Jafar noticed the frown. Did he say something wrong? Yes he was sure he said something wrong that made Malara frown. “T-though it wouldn't hurt if you want to come now. I just didn't want you to drop anything you had planned…!” That should be fine right?

“Are you sure it's fine for me to leave? It doesn't feel like leaving in such a hurry…” He was sure he could wait a few more days rather than leaving in a hurry like so.

The bandaged head of Babadi popped around the corner to peek into the room. “Ahem, Sorry to intrude.”
Now stepping fully back into the room the praxian’s eyes shifted between both Mal and Jafar. “It's about time to leave.”

Malara set her jaw, biting the inside of her cheek. She didn't want Jafar to go on his own, no. But he seemed like he really preferred it this way.
"I'm not upset. Not really. Truth be told-"[/i]

She paused and shook her head as the taste of blood filled her mouth. It was sobering and helped her recenter herself. "You go. Enjoy getting to know your family. Take as long as you need. We have all the time in the world when you get back, yeah?"

Her eyes fell on Babadi as he interrupted her. If this were Mes, she'd have... but this wasn't Mes, and she wasn't the first or the last word of the law here. Malara folded her hands together behind her, turning her sour expression back into a smile.
