“…And I bought a special little garment for the wedding night. You don’t get to see it until then,” Chi said with a giggle, clinging to Cor’s arm. Although it was winter, they were both warm thanks to the use of charms—and the fact they were constantly clinging to each other certainly helped as well.
Chi leaned over to give Cor a kiss on the cheek as they turned along the path, before suddenly stopping. There was something on the path up ahead…
“W-what is that?” Chi asked, hesitant, before she squinted a bit. It wasn’t just a ‘thing’, but a Lamia—and Chi soon realized it was a very familiar Lamia.
“That can’t be…is that Mama Laila?!” Chi gasped. She quickly slithered over to her, realizing she was gasping for breath and severely injured. Her pale skin was covered in bruises and open wounds, and her neck is particular was bleeding heavily.
“M-mama, oh no mama!” Chi whimpered out, pulling her coat off to try and stop Laila’s bleeding. Not to mention how cold she must have been; she knew Laila was particularly sensitive to the cold.
“Wh-what do we do?!” she asked Cor, staring up at her with clear desperation in her eyes. “W-we need to get her to a hospital…”
