Morgan had been spending a lot of time in the Student Council Room in her chair. There was a decent chance that she was going to lose this chair soon, and she wanted to spend as much time as possible in it before the end.

She was just looking through different forms as well as working on the plan she and Anastasia had been working on, even if she didnt win she wanted to pass it over to whoever did become Student Council President.

Being on the student council was a mixed blessing for Chloe.

On the one hand, she had direct input on the way that school funding got distributed to clubs. Her pet project, her baby, her legacy - the DSU, was safer than safe with its Imperator Daemonicus in such a position.

On the other hand, she didn't like being split between homework, the DSU, student council, learning how to be a proper demon from her father, and trying to have an actual life all at the same time. She was spread too thin. Something had to go, and it was probably going to be student council.

She had a plan to keep her precious DSU safe and well-funded without even being on the council.

The half-demon finished her work on a spreadsheet and turned from her laptop to Morgan. "It's all done," she said. "I have it saved on the cloud, so you can reference it if you feel like it."

There wasn't much else to say about that.

"So... I hear you're running for another term, Madame President?"

Chloe sighed. Maybe, if she got really good at managing her time...

No. She needed her sanity. It was too much.

"I can't keep up with this and the DSU on top of everything else. So I'm not running for re-election."

Chloe smiled. Immediately, Morgan promised to help the DSU with its goals if she stayed in office. It was almost as if they had been thinking the same thing for the last few minutes.

"In that case... it seems like we demon-folk would have a vested interest in getting you re-elected. Wanna make a deal with the devil?"

This was absolutely not the best way for Chloe to be approaching the topic, but the play on words was too good to pass up. Or, at least, it sounded really good in her head.

Morgan choked down a laugh, that was a strange choice of words from Chloe, hopefully it was just a joke and not... Yeah it was defiantly a joke. "We'll id certainly love a bit more help, what sort of deal are we talking about here?"

She opened up her bag and pulled out her election notebook.

Chloe shrugged. "Nothing too complicated. Just sort of a we-scratch-your-back-you-scratch-ours kind of deal. I grab some friends from the DSU to help you put signs and posters up, I tell people at meetings that you have our best interests at heart, stuff like that. But in return..."

She closed her laptop. How could she word this in a way that didn't seem threatening?

Crap this dramatic pause was only making it seem more serious she needed to come out with it stat

"Eh, just be ready to help us out if we need it."

She wanted to be able to call in a favor.

Ok seemed pretty good so far, but this dramatic pause...

...

Oh it was for like an IOU, huh... Well ok. "Well that should be fine as long as its nothing unreasonable, though I dont really except anything like that." she wrote down a reminder that shed owe Chloe and the DSU a favor down the line.

Chloe smiled in a way that she hoped would reassure Morgan. "Honestly, it would probably just be something like, pulling a few strings to help us put on an event. I might not even take you up on it."

"So, you want any help making posters?"

Morgan would have seen Chloe's work on the DSU posters. Chloe had a lot of fun with them, but her sense of humor put off a few of the members.
