Adryan reached out and took Mukuchi's hand sealing the deal. A smile came on his face as he cocked his head to the side again and raised an eyebrow.

"Back in business together it seems."

He sighed a bit as he dropped Mukuchi's and in a fluid motion reached down to his waist, grabbing the bag that contained the pocket dimension inside it. Reaching inside the bag, Adryan fiddled around up to almost his elbow, way farther that what should have been able to reach into the bag. Finally he found what he was looking for.

"Here it is."

Ever so carefully, Adryan pulled out a dusty book that was bound in what appeared to be skin.

"Rumor is this is the Grimoire of a Lich that was hiding in ancient Egypt. Found it in a collapsed cave in Tennessee, USA. Dude got around."

The bell rang as Briar entered the shop, a small package wrapped in black paper and tied with a purple ribbon tucked nearly under his arm. He didn't call out, as Mukuchi could be with a customer. Briar had sent a text announcing his visit anyways, so he headed towards the back of the shop and that's when he nearly ran into Adryan. "Oh, my bad." He apologized, then moved away.

Mukuchi and this man seemed to be busy with shop stuff. Briar signed hello real quick to Mu, then busied himself by looking at furniture or whatever else caught his fancy. Maybe he should buy the vase that had caught his eye the other day. Then he would have something to put fresh flowers in.

Before Mukuchi took the tome in his hands he briefly turned around and walked to the cash register, pulling out a pair of thin cotton gloves. Mukuchi put them on and only then did he return to Adryan and take the tome to his hands, handling it with feather-soft touch. Mukuchi couldn't sign now, so he only nodded as an answer, but Adryan could probably see the familiar gleam of interest in Mukuchi's eyes.

Mukuchi was focused on Adryan and the tome and thus did not notice the front door open. He very carefully opened the tome a bit, looking at the worn pages and ancient language. He looked up at Adryan only to see Briar almost run into the man from behind. Mukuchi's eyes widened slightly, the very thing he had feared had happened. But he very quickly got his expression back in control, and he hoped Briar wouldn't do anything...unnecessary before Adryan left.

Mukuchi took a moment to hold the tome in one hand and sign a quick hello to Briar with one hand before turning to Adryan. Since he couldn't properly sign now with the tome in one hand he pulled out his phone and instead used text to speech app. At a lower volume, so Briar (hopefully) wouldn't hear
"I will provide you with the list of buyers after I'm done with the restoration process"
There was a certain rush to the way Mukuchi put his words, and Adryan would probably be able to see his foot tap impatiently against the floor again. Mukuchi didn't want to ignore Briar for long, and Adryan was in the way.

Adryan allowed Mukuchi to take the book. He had no concern with him damaging it. The irritating shopkeeper was probably the only other person that cared for artifacts as much as Adryan himself did, if not more so. That was evident by the gloves he had pulled out to handle it.

The bell ringing and footsteps approaching didn't catch Adryan off guard. As they neared, he started to move thinking the person was trying to view something near him. Luckily he had moved because they would have collided otherwise.

The apology came, then the signing to Mukuchi. "What's this? " Nux said to Adryan within the confines of his mind. That was when he spied Mukuchi's wide eyed expression.

"I see it..." he stated quietly. Then smiled to Briar and spoke again, this time with enough volume to be heard, "Oh no worries."

He turned his gaze back to Mukuchi as the phone spoke. Adryan had a mischievous grin on his face.

"Great. So how long?"

Briar smiled when Mukuchi signed hello back, the expression as goofy as it was happy. Try as he might, Briar could never stay away from Mukuchi for long. He also tried not to eavesdrop on the two's business conversation, but a quiet store plus Briar's keen hearing, he could hear it all.

From what he gathered Mukuchi got a restoration job for some kind of old book. Briar was happy for Mukuchi, it seemed like it would be an interesting restoration. Perhaps Mukuchi will share the book's history with him later. Maybe while cuddling together on a couch. That would be perfect.

He didn't mind waiting for the two to finish, not impatient like Mukuchi, and perfectly content to browse a store he's almost memorized. Briar noted what has been sold since his last visit and took the time to check out new antiques. Though, he kept glaceing towards Mukuchi, unable to keep his eyes off the other for long.

"I'm not certain, I will estimate that after I have done the initial check. Type your number, I will save it later"
Mukuchi typed, keeping his words as impersonal as possible, because he knew that Briar could most probably hear him. Mukuchi held out his phone to Adryan, but didn't let the man hold it. The screen had the notepad open and the number keys were ready to be pressed. Mukuchi didn't want to let Adryan handle any personal possessions of his. Besides, Mukuchi didn't like the expression on Adryan's face one bit, the man had definitely noticed how Briar had reacted to Mukuchi and vice versa. Adryan was definitely planning to do something, Mukuchi was almost certain of it, and he prayed it wouldn't be anything irredeemable. Mukuchi didn't want to lose face in front of Briar.
Mukuchi didn't dare look towards Briar, but he could almost feel the dragon's eyes on him. Briar was much too attached to Mukuchi, and usually Mukuchi didn't mind and actually enjoyed the attention and affection but this situation was the worst one to express that...

"What's this? Mukuchi not having an accurate number right away? You're slipping."

Adryan chuckled a little bit keeping his hazel green eyes locked on Mukuchi. He only broke contact long enough to look st the phone and input his number. As soon as hev was done he looked back up at the shopkeeper.

"Now...do it now..." Nux earned him inside his head. He knew everything Adryan was thinking and was hoping this was going to go as well as he thought it might. Adryan put on a confused face. When he spoke next, he made sure his voice was loud enough to be heard throughout the store so wherever the new arrival was could clearly hear him.

"Are you trying to shoo me away Mukuchi? After how long it has been since we've seen each other? When did you get so rude?"

Briar had found the vase he was considering buying today, when Adryan's voice carried loud and clear across the store. Did Mukuchi know this customer? It seemed like the two were familiar with one another, perhaps with a professional history? That actually made Briar smile, as it meant this man knew and remembered Mukuchi. Which was good, Mukuchi deserved to be remembered, and it was criminal that anyone could forget someone so mysterious and interesting as him.

The dragon had some manners, and pretended as though he wasn't nor couldn't listen in. Though, he was a little curious. Perhaps Mu will tell Briar about this stranger later.

Mukuchi forced down the urge to slap Adryan, when the man suddenly raised his voice and basically announced himself and his relation to Mukuchi. He had done one of the things Mukuchi hated the most, which was share his private information. But of course Adryan would know what would make Mukuchi the most uncomfortable. Even if Briar wouldn't mind at the end of the day it didn't feel good for Mukuchi that information about him was shared that he didn't want shared.

Mukuchi gave Adryan a deadpan stare, slowly took a breath in, and then out. He calmly walked over to the glass cabinet near them, opened it, put the tome inside. The glass cabinet had special controlled airing system meant to maintain fragile antique objects. Then he turned to Adryan, and resumed signing.
"I may not have an accurate number for you, but I already know how much I am going to charge you for this"
Mukuchi signed slowly and deliberately, his eyes told Adryan that the sum would not be small by any means.

And since the information was already out Mukuchi was going to do this at his own terms rest of the way. Losing face be damned. He walked over to Briar, looped his arm through his and gently pulled the dragon over to Adryan. Mukuchi was too irritated to even blush at the close contact. Mukuchi proceeded to type on his phone
"Briar, this is Adryan, an old business associate. Adryan, this is Briar, a good friend. As you must've heard Briar ,Adryan just assigned me with a restoration project. And since the details have been agreed to he will be on his way"
Mukuchi nailed Adryan with his firmest and most threatening look, that said 'If you start arguing with me I will use my shadows to drag you out of here or even use Mitr if it comes down to it'. And Adryan was hopefully smarter at this point than to go against Mukuchi when he was truly approaching his limit.

"Oh he's mad," Nux stated to his vessel. The comment in his mind caused Adryan to wink at Mukuchi quickly before he put the book away. He already knew Mukuchi would charge him more than he normally would just because of how annoying Adryan was to him.

Hazel green eyes tracked his old business associate to Briar and watched him loop an arm. And eyebrow raised a little as Nux erupted in his mind, "Oh this is good. This is really good." Adryan stifled a laugh and spoke quietly to his demon.

"Oh I know."

The introductions were given, and the stare was understood. The issue was, someone that didn't have business with Adryan knew his real name and face. "That's an issue."

"Yes it is..."

Adryan smiled and threw Briar a court two finger salute of a greeting. Eyes burned into his skull as he could feel the stare and knew exactly what it meant. Adryan looked back at Mukuchi and his expression dropped to a serious one.

"Fix this...... sorry I do have to run."

The statement was short and made two points. The first and obvious one was the restoration. The second less obvious one was referring to Briar knowing both his name and face. Mukuchi would know that Adryan would fix it if he didn't. He turned quickly on his heel, hooked the bag to the pocket dimension back on his belt and walked out the door.
