Kimiko was walking down the school halls. The middle aged teenager had her head down, seemingly looking down at something. A paperback manga was what she was looking. It was a popular violent series, a classic but as well as you could guess a completed series, a Seinen manga, and at the moment it was getting to be too much. But the plot, the plot was good. So naturally of course she was going to keep reading and was now addicted to the series. It was the weekend and most students were out either clowning about, running errands, or working at a part-time job. Kimiko was doing none of these things, she hadn’t applied for a job yet, and had already run her errands. Instead she was deeply engrossed in this book. So engrossed as she walked pass a corner she bumped into someone. She immediately stumbled back like she was going to fall but flipped backwards to get her right back onto her feet once more.

“Goddamnit……” she muttered to herself and quickly went to grab the manga that had slid across the floor. No sorry? Yep, no sorry.

Vinnie got to the manga book before Kimiko could, and the gem would have been quick to give it back had she not become so very curious by all the strange pictures. Vinanye had seen picture books, but this was different than those.

"I am sorry, friend! I should have checked where I was going." Vin grinned before looking back down at the book in her hands. She examined it and hesitantly held it out to Kimiko. "What is that? It is very interesting looking, but I have never seen a book like that one before!"

Truthfully, Vinnie was not in high school or college, but she had taken an interest in language courses to better learn how to communicate. Vin had only just begun to learn the intricacies of the common tongue here, and it was very clear in the stiff way she spoke, or how she had to pause and consider what she was saying. Sometimes, her wording was off.
