Distractions, everyone needed them sometimes, he'd found his with demigoddess named Malara. So here they were, eating food at her dorm, talking, eating food and enjoying each other's company, he knew tonight was going to be interesting. He had opened up to her about his PTSD, and she had offered to distract him.

Malara sat lounging on one of the couches in her dorm living room. She had been glad to pay extra for a larger dorm all to herself. She had hated the idea of a roommate and half of the living space being not under her control. But as of late, it had been a kind of lonely space. She had been bringing whoever she could home to fill the void, because being alone with her thoughts was not a pleasant experience right then.

She looked across to the other couch at her latest acquirement, a young man named Aedan Drago who she had bumped into at the kegger. He was a nice enough guy, and he had confided in her about the issues he had been going through. Since her revelations with Illiya the other day, she had been contemplating her status as a goddess a lot, and wanted to try being benevolent, as it was called.

She sat back, eating one of the sandwiches they had picked up on their way back to her dorm. She didn't need a kitchen since she couldn't cook even basic stuff. Smiling, she swallowed and spoke up, "Sorry the food isn't homemade. I'm not a very good cook."

"Is there anything else you wanted to talk about, now that we won't be eavesdropped on?"

He smiled, it hadn't been easy carrying this stuff around, having it churn around in him like poison, "Its fine, I cant cook either." He wasn't sure where to start, all the things he saw and did, she wasn't from this planet, so some things would need explaining. He might as well start with his powers, "I hate my powers sometimes....there..a reminder...of what they made me into." The glow of his eyes darkened as these bad memories come back. "My powers aren't...natural....they gave them to me."

He closed his eyes, trying to focus his mind, "they....didn't have a name...not really......they just existed within the military of my home nation." He shook his head in disgust at the memory, "they were led by a general.....named Jonathan Alistair." His fists clenched in anger at the mention of thar man's name.

"My father made something....it was pure and good...it could cure diseases," he paused, this was not easy for him. "Alistair saw it as a way to make living weapons.......he came to our home and he took it," He gritted his teeth, what came next was truly awful, "and when he took it....he dragged me outside...tied me down....and made me watch..as he burnt out home down with my family inside." His mind went to his sister, she was twelve when she died.

He looked to Malara, "they took me...used my father's process to give me my powers....they got into my head...." he flinched slightly at this memory. "For the longest time....I thought I was in their base the whole time....being experimented on.....being trained....tortured when I did things wrong.....," he closed his eyes, as he prepared to share the newly unlocked. "I was wrong.....I was so damn wrong...," his teeth clenched. "They controlled me....sent me out...on missions......I killed people....good people who just wanted to live their lives." He shook his head, trying to push the memories away, "the memories....just....started coming back."

"Then...it happened.....something in me broke....and all their control just slipped off, the military....finally tracked me to the base we were at....they..attacked..and I made my move," he looked at her, "I killed forty seven enemy soldiers...six scientists....and their leader Alistair." He went quiet, he made no justifications, he knew she wouldn't judge, she wouldn't call him a monster or anything else.

Malara chewed over the info dump that Aedan had given her, wondering where to start. She slowly worked on her sandwich, thinking of what she wanted to say. Then she felt the apprehension coming off of Aedan.
Did he think she would think badly of him because of the people he killed? As if she wasn't a monster herself, who actually took pleasure from hurting other people.

"Hm... Forty-seven plus six plus one. Fifty-four? And maybe a couple dozen total with the people you killed under their control?"
Malara chuckled dryly and took another bite of her sandwich. "No offense Aedan, but if you're trying to shock or disgust me you'll have to do way better than that. The city of Therum alone had over a million people in it. I cut every one of them down like animals. And that was just one city on one planet."

"You aren't a bad person. You escaped what they were trying to do to you. The moment you had control over your actions, you made the decision to not be what they wanted you to be.
I'm... kind of going through the same thing. My mother messed with my memories, made me think that what I was doing wasn't terrible. But it was."

She finished her sandwich and stretched out on the couch, straightening her arms out above her head and her legs across the cushions and Aedan's lap. Her top rose with the motion, showing off a lot of her stomach.

"I'm not good at pep talks. I had generals for that back when I waged war.
But you know, working yourself to death with six jobs or however many you have isn't going to bring any of them back. And, if you do kill yourself with grief, then that general guy wins."

So, he looked at her, and he smiled, "I didn't come looking for disgust....I came because you wouldn't judge me on those things." He listened as she told him he wasn't a bad person, how she was going through the same things, and then she stretched out putting her legs over his lap. He was a teenager so of course he noticed her top moving.

He nodded as she said that him giving into his grief would mean Alistair ultimately won. Most people didn't think much of Aedan, they didn't see much, but in truth he had strength in him, one that never gave in, "remember the lessons of the past, but don't let their chains hold you down, grab onto the later if the future and climb into the stars......sounds dumb doesn't it.....but...it says a lot....we can't go back...we can only move forward."

He smiled as she said she wasn't good at pep talks, he found it ironic, "believe it or not...your doing a pretty damn good job." He looked at her, even when they first met at SpaceCon he didn't judge her, because he didn't judge people based on their past. His calm smile never left his face, he had a beautiful woman who despite her past actions, seemed to honestly want redemption.

"No, no. Of course you weren't looking to disgust me. I just mean, you're not as bad as you think you are. In my twelve hundred years, I've met way worse people than you Aedan."

Malara smiled and stretched further when she felt the simmering feeling of lust kick up in Aedan's head. She pretended to absentmindedly slide her hand up her shirt and rubbed her shoulder, letting him catch a glimpse of the black lace bra she wore. As damaged mentally as he was, Aedan was still a teenage boy and his hormones were unaffected.

Then he started waxing some philosophical bullshit, and Malara found herself snickering. She threw one of the small square pillows on the couch at him, intending to bop him in the face with it.
"Dumb and definitely corny. Don't use that on a first date. Or any date, actually."

She grinned at him as she slid her hand back down her stomach to rest on her thigh. "But, I guess it's not wrong either. That was the first thing I had to get over, that I can't change the things I've done. Hell, I'm still getting over it. Seems like you are too."

He smiled, it made sense, she was a goddess of war after all, she'd seen far more than he ever would. It was ironic that Aedan was so hard on himself considering he dedicated most of his free time to helping others.

He watched as her hand went up her shirt to rub her shoulder, he saw the back of her bra, Aedan tended to be a gentleman, but it was difficult at times like this. In truth he got tired of holding back sometimes. He smiled, "your beautiful."

He chuckled as she threw a pillow at him, he let it him. He grinned back at her, the glow of his eyes brightening, "they say moving on is long road....but..maybe I'm ready to start it...and I think you are too. It won't be easy, but I think we can help each other."

He looked into her eyes, and for that moment, he gave in, he leaned over and kissed her.

"Moving on, huh? I know I don't want to be the same old Malara I've always b-" Malara was cut off by Aedan's lips crashing into hers. She grabbed the sides of his head and returned the kiss.

Breaking away momentarily, she grinned and shifted to pull the boy on top of her. "Alright, alright. Talking is good, but I did promise you a distraction~."
Malara wrapped her arms around Aedan's neck and kissed him again, parting her lips slightly.

As she kissed him, Malara slid her hands up the back of his shirt, feeling his back. There was the obvious rough feeling of scar tissue. She traced her fingers across the more prominent ones, thinking about the kinds of fights he had been in to get them.

He smirked just a little when she broke the kiss and pulled him onto her, she kissed him again. He deepened their kiss, he was a teenager after all, and he knew where this was going.

He felt her hand go up the back of his shirt, she didn't hesitate, she had to of noticed, he looked into her eyes and realized she would care. He broke the kiss for a moment and pulled his shirt off, tossing it aside. Needless to say, the scars were bad, covering his chest and back, but underneath them he was muscular, strong, he even had a well toned six back. Most men would show such muscles off, Aedan never did.

He leaned back in and kissed her again, his hand reached under her shirt, feeling the smooth skin on her side.

No more talking. Good. Malara was shit at talking. Physicality, that was what she knew.

Malara moaned into the kiss as she felt his hand slip underneath her shirt. Unlike Aedan, her skin was scar free. She found that lovers tended to prefer their women soft and smooth, so she had always healed her wounds back perfectly.

She ran a hand down his chest, feeling the scars there too before tugging playfully on the waistband of his pants. Pushing him back, Malara followed his lead and stripped off her own shirt, fully exposing the black lace underneath that held her breasts.

"C'mere."
