Selkiris sighed quietly, silently stocking books up onto one of the book carts to be placed onto one of the shelves. Selkiris did quite enjoy reading but even somedays the library felt a little dull. Selkiris picked up another book to place on the cart and froze, staring at it. Well he wasn’t staring at the book, in actuality he was staring at the simple metal ring on his hand. Morgan.......I still think of you. Every day. Selkiris thought. He still felt that he was partly responsible for the untimely demise of his wife. If he could have just known sooner maybe it could have been prevented. A single tear trickled down his face but Selkiris quickly wiped it away.

Why was it that this strange world felt familiar on such a deep level Morgana could barely discern it? The way the sky was blue, the way the sun warmed Morgana's cheek, the way the wind made her hair sway. Although it was everything new it was all something Morgana knew.
Upon her voyage, to some long but to her so short, Morgana had seen many worlds, and met many people. And every time there had been the sense of discovering something new. But when Morgana had stepped upon Earth's surface it had felt...like she had come back.
Come back where?

But despite this strange feeling Morgana still had oh, so many things to see, so many things to learn and experience. And since Morgana had been told she couldnvt go outside the island because of this Veil or such the easiest way to find out about the outside world was through books. Morgana still didn't quite understand Internet, so written words were her only way. Written word, or conversing with people. And books often opened much more easily than people.
Morgana pushed the library doors open, today she was yet again wearing white. She had a white winter jacket, and under that simple white dress. The colour shone against Morgana's dark, almost black skin.

Morgana looked around, her eyes wide with wonder. Where should she start? There were so many books Morgana's head was spinning, in a good and bad way. Morgana was almost certain she wouldn't be able to find her way in this maze, and she looked around for anyone who might've worked there. In the cultural classes Morgana had been taught almost all establishments had staff, that could assist patrons.
Morgana saw a man(or a woman, they were wearing a very concealing robe), who had a cart filled with various books. Either they were a very active reader, or staff. And in either case they'd probably be able to help Morgana.

Morgana walked over to the person, having a ready to go kind smile on her face.
"Excuse me, would you be able to tell me where to find easy to read books? I'm afraid my reading skills are not quite up to par."
Morgana finished her sentence with a small happy chuckle, waiting for the person's answer.

The moment the voice asked Selkiris the question he turned around to face the person who asked it. When he saw the woman he was speechless for a few seconds, seeming to repeat I and Um on a loop. Selkiris regained his control with a cough. It can’t be her Selkiris. Control yourself. She is gone this can’t be her. Selkiris thought, trying to control his emotions. “Easy to read books.....I believe that there may be a couple a few shelves down. Would you like me to see?” Luckily Selkiris’s face was covered in the shade of his robes so no one could see the conflicted feelings he was having display right on his face.

Morgana got concerned when the person she had asked for advice seemed baffled, and it showed on her face. Had she said something wrong? Was this not how you interacted on Earth? No, she had been taught that this was how you spoke to others, politely and kindly. Not that Morgana would do it in any other way. But perhaps she had accidentally done something wrong? Or was everything not right with this person? Did they need help? Morgana went over a dozen different possibilities in her head, was she overthinking this?
Thankfully the person pulled themselves together, and spoke to Morgana like nothing was wrong. She couldn't help but sigh a bit from relief, and she smiled again.

"Yes please, if you would. I have a terrible sense of direction, I would get lost here."
Morgana laughed a little, it was true. It was the reason she had traveled all the way from her system to Earth via spaceships, if she had tried traveling on her own Morgana would've definitely gotten lost.

Selkiris walked at a semi-brisk pace once the woman had confirmed for him to lead the way. Thoughts were flying through his head a mile a minute and he barely could process any of them. This hadn’t happened since.....since his time with Morgan. Selkiris shook his head in an attempt to remove the thoughts, he needed to think clearly. After walking a few shelves down the line, Selkiris turned to enter one of them. As he began entering that row he suddenly vanished, only to reappear close to the end of the row, picking out a few books. The books were certainly not children books but they were rather thin compared to the other books that laid on the shelves. “Here we go. I believe these should suffice, but of course I do not know how far along your reading skills are Ms.........?” Selkiris spoke the last word hoping to get her name.

Morgana had no keeping up with the robed person, who thankfully had been a staff member of this place after all. Well, that or just a very helpful person. Either way Morgana appreciated the help, and she kept up light small talk as they walked, saying things about the library and commenting on what she saw but nothing excessive, she hoped. Morgana loved talking, she often talked to herself as well. Or it was more like she hated silence. Morgana had experienced too much of that already in her life.

Morgana did jump slightly at the person vanishing right before her eyes and reappearing further down the row, but Morgana had seen similar things already after being on the island for merely few days. This place was full of interesting phenomena and people. Morgana smiled slightly and walked over to the person, looking down on the books they were holding. The titles were written in big and clear letters, that were easy to read. Just what Morgana needed to polish her reading.
"Thank you so much, these look perfect. I'm Morgana Delta Capricorni, but please just call me Morgana. My last name is merely a formality, given to me for my registration."

Selkiris froze up again, with his left hand jerking to the ring on his right. “M-Mor.......gan......” Selkiris said with a slight hint of hope in his voice but he suddenly went back to his usual tone after another quick cough. “Ms. Morgana Delta Capricorni? Do you have any relation to the star or is that a coincidence?” Selkiris asked politely. Of course he already knew the answer to it as he could see her species but he wanted to be polite in asking and not immediately nosing into her kind. “Well is there anything else you need of me Ms. Morgana? I know most things about this library if you need anything.”

"Um, yes, Morgana. Is there something wrong?"
Morgana said, she couldn't recognize the feeling in the person's voice, but they seemed to have some sort of problem with Morgana. Or at least she gathered as much from the way they reacted to her earlier and now. Was it how she looked? Morgana had seen people that looked much more...not human than her on this island. Or maybe it was because she did look so human? No,
that was a bizarre thought. Or was it? What if-?
Morgana interrupted her own thoughts from falling into a whirlpool of paranoia and second-guessing as the person yet again pulled themselves together, leaving Morgana with a concerned and confused expression but still with a slightly unsure smile on her face.

"Relation is too weak of a word, actually. You could say I am the Delta Capricorni star system itself. Taken form. That said I am much younger than my system. I've existed a millennium and some centuries. If I have counted right. I've tried estimating my age, but it's hard to tell time in space, you see."
Was she talking too much? If she was Morgana didn't notice or care. She enjoyed explaining what she wast to others, teaching them new things, just like she liked learning and hearing things.
"Oh, but you didn't ask about that. If I could take you up on the offer, could you please show me your biggest, most extensive Atlas? I've never seen the full extent of this planet's geography."

Selkiris seemed to tense a little when she asked if anything was wrong. “I....I had a wife named Morgan, she passed a while ago. You are just similar to her which is why I have been acting strange.” It was probably best to be honest with her, he didn’t want the woman thinking he was an odd ball spaz. “You a manifestation of the system...yet you are younger than it? That is...odd. Hm.” Selkiris turned back to the shelves trying to look for an atlas. He seemed to heavily search the shelves until he finally pulled out a rather hefty book. “Here we are, an Atlas comprising all the current geography of the Earth. It goes rather in-depth and even shortly discusses previous geography for comparison.” Selkiris said, remembering what he could about the book at the top of his head. He too pride in knowing a majority of the books here, there were some he didnt know of course but those were few a far between.

Did Morgana regret asking? Yes, definitely, since it turned out the reason this person had acted strangely was because of a sad and tragic event that Morgana had no business being nosy about. Or she thought so. She had been told in cultural classes people needed their own space and everyone had the right for secrets.
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked. My deepest condolences."
Morgana's tone was genuine, and so was the sadness she was feeling. She sometimes found herself unable to empathize, despite having lived for a long time she had remarkably little experience on, well, what people called normal life. But Morgana had lost many people, both those she considered close and those she had only talked to once or twice, and still it hurt.
"And thank you for explaining despite it being a painful subject."
But it was still a coincidence that Morgana stashed at the back of her mind. She had never reminded anyone of someone else before, after all.

"Is it odd? I do not know why I came to be, if I am honest. One day I just...existed. Perhaps the previous spirit of the system perished, and I took their place. I can only guess."
Morgana had had a lot of time to think about why she existed and how she came to be, and she could keep talking about it to this person for hours on end. But Morgana would spare them from that.
Morgana followed along as the person looked for an atlas for her, and when they did find it Morgana smiled happily upon seeing how large the book was. That meant there was so much to see.
"Thank you again, you have been a life-saver. I'm impressed."
Morgana took the book from them and nodded slightly. Her eyes shone a bit brighter out of joy, and Morgana felt the cover of the book, wondering what secrets it hid inside it.
"Oh! I've been so rude. I didn't ask for your name. May I hear it?"
