Steven shook his head still unsure how to deal with the seriousness of Jude's story however at least there were some rays of light in that dark tale. He wasn't the most social adept person in the world but he could try at least. "Look don't worry about it everyone has to vent sometimes." Steven tried to reassure him that he didn't mind.

"It's good that others were kept safe too. You've been through the wringer and I couldn't imagining having to do it alone as well." Steven didn't think Jude would be so meek about things if he was along as well. There was only a certain amount of truma the normal person could put up with. "Well just you and Giltenn I mean." Steven added with the realization that the Gultha might actaully be helping Jude cope.

"I know it isn't much but if you need to vent in the future too I'm willing to listen." He offered out of the goodness of his heart. Even if it could be one that ate time up, Steven kept his word when he made it.

If Jude had come through alone, he wouldn't be the same person he was right then. The only reason he'd managed to keep himself together half as well as he had was because he'd had his friends. Jude had been a solitary person by nature back at home, with a small friend circle and few people to lean on, but when the end of the world had come and taken almost anyone, it had been a boon.

He missed his father. He missed We The People and the rest of the sentinels. There were maybe a handful of others he could say he really missed. Armorer. Finch. The Wonders.

What he'd lost was nothing compared to his friends. They'd lost their families. Their friends. Their homes. Their lives.

"Thanks," Jude said. "It means a lot, especially considering we only just met. Maybe we should talk about something..."

Jude trailed off for a moment, obviously distracted by something, but it took a moment before he actually finished his sentence.

"Oh right," Jude said. "I was interrupting you doing something, right?"

"No problem, lending an ear to others isn't going to put me out." Steven said in response to Jude's thanks. It was a good thing to do in Steven's mind and therefor not a waste of time. Other had listened to his own issues in the pass and it had been helpful for him. So passing on the goodness seemed like the right thing.

When Jude pointed out that he had been interputing Steven, Steven looked down at the books scattered across the table. "It's alright. If something didn't occasionally make me take breaks I would keep working and working for way too long." Steven tried to downplay that fact Jude had stopped his studying.

It had been a nice talk. A lot of stuff off his chest, but also just a good talk in general.

"This was... actually kind of a good talk," he admitted, and then dug around in his pockets until he pulled out a sheet of paper. He grabbed his pen, scribbling out his number, and then held it out for Steven.

"I probably shouldn't interrupt you that much more, and I have to pick some stuff up. But this was nice. Maybe we could do it again some time? Or maybe we'll have some classes together when I hit college."

"As I said anytime." Steven replied taking the number from Jude when he offered it. Before slipping out his own phone. He typed the number in, and sent a simple text message to it with just the word. 'Here.' As a means of more easily giving Jude his own number in return and hoping that they ahad their phone on silent because they were in a library after all.

"Well depends on if you end up taking any majors or minors I have but I'm sure we see each other around even if you don't." Steven told him, not sure if Jude interests in study would align with his own. "It was a pleasure to meet ya."
