Among the Waves and Unto the Sand

Vatar nodded at the oddly chipper introduction but responded to it anyway with a semi calm manner.

"Vatar Tor. nice to meet you too."

Short and sweet, could you really beat that? Vatar didn't see this as a good opportunity to make a friend and share a cup of tea. He noticed the girls tears and how she hugged her toy?pet?....slave? whatever it was, and it reminded him of his daughter and how she like stupid looking pets but clung to them for her better or worse.

Vatar tried wiping away the tears as best as the girl would allow and sat back down cross-legged next to her. Hopefully, the police would arrive soon because her sobbing wasn't easing his anxiety that she had internal damage.

"Do you remember your name at all child."

He wasn't sure if he would get a response but he just wanted to draw her mind away from any possible pain she was feeling.

Sora nodded, smiling at Vatar. It was a cute name. Almost as adorable as the young girl hugging her little pet thing. It was a great little scene to look at. She hoped to meet lots that were nice like this.

And it seemed to have this all under control. It was a little bit sad she couldn't do a whole lot. But at least Vatar knew what he was doing. This was so different from her world. She just healed them, then they got up and did stuff. Then again, she never had to worry about people drowning. So it could have been worse, right?

Kadasha? A sweet name for a girl.....but did the toy just talk? Vatar was slightly annoyed at how if the toy could talk it didn't just do so. However based on the expression of the girl it was clear she wasn't aware of this either.Maybe her powers were the source of this whole situation. He had met a girl in his economics class who accidentally teleported into the aquarium fish tank. Vatar wiped away the newly formed tears and gave a small smile to the girl.

"Kadasha is a beautiful name. I'm sure the nurses will love it too. I know they are saps for cute names. Sadly my name wasn't good enough for their loving words."

He dug in his pocket and noticed that he didn't have his usual pack of jerky. It wasn't an addiction and he could quit whenever he wanted to. At least that is what he told his friends and family. Jerky always helped him think and calmed him down. With no source of stress relief, he just continued to speak to the girl.

"But we won't have to worry about that right now. For now just stay awake and hold on to your little buddy."

He could see lights in the far distance waving around frantically. Hopefully, it was the police and not some other shady business. Vatar held out his hand and a little pink, astral ball appeared. It had a worried frown and what was clearly a fake eye patch.

"Go see what's going on. If it's the police lead them here. If not, return to me quietly.

The ball spoke back with a vigorous and brave "YES SIR." and flew off toward the lights.

Sora continued to watch Vatar, taking note of the girls name. Well, he definitely had this down, so there is no reason for her to stay here, right? At least to her it seemed that way. Might as well get going. Explore the forest.

As he talked with the young girl she quietly flew up, heading to the forest. There was probably a nice tree or something that she can sleep near. Or on one of the branches or something. She would definitely have to try and find these two later, make sure the young girl is okay and maybe have a chat with that Vatar. He seemed quite nice.

Vatar was making sure to keep eye contact with the little girl when a small gust of wind hit the back of his head and he realized the person n behind him was no longer blocking the small breezes coming through the trees. He looked up and saw the angel getting ready to fly off.

What the hell was their problem? Was this a common thing for her people.....He scowled at the angel and instead of shouting and attracting everything in the damn forest a yellow ball floated out of his head and flew up after the angel, not letting her get far.

"......I've met thousands of angels. That one......she might just make the list."

Vatar rubbed the head of the girl as the yellow ball flew after and caught up to the angel. It didn't have eyes but a mouth bearing shark teeth. A crooked smile was on its face as it flew in front of the angel, hoping to stop her.

"YO CHICK! The hell is wrong with you! You find a little girl and leave her with that idiot! Do you have no soul women! No, you do, I can tell that much. Get your poofy wings back down there and act like a decent human being......actually, no screw them too. Act like a proper angel fruit pop.........Alright that's about all I got in terms of yelling.....but yeah.....go help that man...he'll probably screw it up."

Vatar hoped that the soul made it to the girl. It was sort of a rush job and he wasn't even sure if he gave it a decent enough personality. Vatar continued to pet the girl and noticed she was falling asleep.

" Yo fluffles try to keep her awake with me. Hopefully, the police arrive soon."

Sora paused, blinking as the little orb flew in front of her. Then it started yelling at her. Well, it wasn't so much of yelling, but it was....Weird. She was definitely not used to people doing this to her. Though everyone in her world was usually very formal. It was really interesting to get such a talk from this thing.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off like that. I figured he could handle everything by himself. But if you two need me, I will head back now." She turned around, quickly landing back over with Vatar. "Sorry about that. Do you need me to help with anything Mr. Vatar?"

"Sora, can you go see if those lights are the police. I made the soul but I don't always trust my work. Still a bit rusty."

Who pointed Sora toward the lights hoping he hadn't said anything too confusing. She seemed to understand him well enough so far....besides the phone situation, so he trusts she could follow lights and direct people.

He admired how gushy the toy was...it reminded him of.......well no one actually. The closest person he knew who was this gushy was either Cat or Illiya. He checked the girl's forehead once more to see if anything had changed. Here he was, a graduating student with a few classes in medicine pretending to be a doctor. For all, he knew this girl could have twelve minutes to live. As morbid as the thought was he didnt let it bother him and just continued to play doctor.
