"Mm..." The figure nodded. "I come here to play for such reasons." It admitted. "I have old friends that really liked that song..."

So, whoever his friend was had died? That was what it sounded like, but with how enigmatic the figure was, it was hard to tell. Maybe they literally just came to listen sometimes, full of life and all.

"Well, if they're dead, they've passed on to a better place - or they're not here, anyway." He gave the graveyard a quick but pointless glance. He didn't need to see spirits (in truth, he could barely see them at all), but instead could sense them using an entirely different capacity he'd yet to properly explore.

"You should stick to playing for them during the day."

The figure nodded. "I'm a student at the school." It told him before moving the mask aside, revealing his face and removing the voice distortion. "I'd like to help if something comes up. Keep me in mind, alright?" The young man requested with a smile. "I've helped souls pass before, if only a little."

Wait, so it was - He didn't even get time to be properly surprised before the mask was pulled off, revealing a normal enough looking boy. A normal enough looking boy with a normal enough enough voice, and a normal enough manner of speaking.

"Have you been messing with me this whole time?" He snapped, going right back to being good and annoyed. "Because if so... extremely not cool. The kind of thing that would get you arrested if I was willing to put up with the extra paperwork." Beyond trespassing, he'd also refused to comply with his requests, which had become demands. If he wanted to swing it, he could have easily put down resisting arrest as well, considering he'd been pretty damn close to arresting him at one point.

He was absolutely not going to have a chat about having spirits pass over with someone who had just caused him so much trouble.

Laetus laughed. "Sorry, sorry." He said, waving it off. "People used to shoo me off at other places, but their spirits were... Not happy." He told the man. "Things do seem ok as you've said here though."

Good god, he'd really been played, hadn't he? That whole time he'd thought he was dealing with someone childish and ignorant, and instead... played. He'd been played. He let out a little huff of frustration. "Of course they're okay. We're not going to just let angry ghosts float around." Or at least he wasn't. For the most part, people on the force were willing to look the other way when it came to ghosts unless they were being disruptive. Angelo was a bit more active, in large part because he could feel ghosts that didn't really do anything. He simply thought it was pointless (and a bit cruel) to leave them lingering.

"You - just... Augh." He let out another exasperated sigh, trying to compose himself. "Just try and be more aware of the police, alright? You could have gotten into serious trouble." He could think of a lot of officers who would have gone straight to the disabling.

Laetus shrugged. "Wouldn't have been the first time." He told the officer as he turned to walk away.

For a moment, Angelo stopped to consider if it was worth it. He could grab him, and then arrest him... but all he could think of was the sheer amount of paperwork that would come with that option.

Ah well, he'd just have to let it go this time. In the name of the law, of course. The paperwork definitely had nothing to do with it.

He let out a little sigh and watched the boy until he was out of the graveyard, and then turned back to the entrance. He'd hop the fence and head out, back on his route. The report was simple: Just a kid, up to no real mischief.

Business as usual.
