Malara stomped her foot, sending out a sound like rolling thunder throughout the crowd. She leveled a glare at the angels, dropping both of her weapons on the ground and throwing her arms wide. She glanced briefly at Jackal and nodded in agreement to his sudden outburst. She spoke in Oleti, simultaneously transmitting her words into the minds of those who could see her.

"First of all, do not insult me again you worthless Pigeons. I won't ask again. Second, I am not going anywhere. If your 'Lord' wants to speak to me, he can come right the fuck here. I am here because you stupid fucks have been killing my Daughters. MY PEOPLE! And someone on this planet took my husband. I am going to be leaving with both. How I leave, either peacefully of walking across a sea of corpses, is entirely up to you."

Vorkhans eyes hadn't lifted from his arm but he still let out a long sigh as the portal allowed him to hear what Malara and that thing had said. He missed the old days where a good conversation was accompanied by some worry or false pain. This had neither of those things. He had wondered what kind of women the girl was despite all he had heard but it seemed the words of his kin were true to the letter so far. Off to the side, he nodded to an armored angel who was just out of view. Mentally projecting his orders he commanded.

Look into this husband of hers. You should be able to find it with no delay from the others.

He had no plan on stopping either Malara or that man from speaking. This was his best chance at peace. The nightmare that plagued Mes was their doing and allowing the people to hear them only did good in the long run. The portal closed as he stood up from his chair.

"Told you." the Twins appeared.

"An 'I told you so' moment. How mortal of you." He smiled as he himself vanished.

Without delay, he popped up in the crowd of people who were still digesting the feast of words given to them. His usual form was different as he took the form of a normal Prax, granted his attire remained the same.

The last thing he ever wanted was for people to worship him. It wasn't his plan. Any public appearance he made usually was set in a native form as to invoke some sort of familiarity when the population.

It was easy enough for him to get to the front as there weren't many people remaining, the angels and police had done a fine job in removing people from a close proximity to the ship.

"For a person looking to find someone, a sea of corpses seems like a bad way to start." He couldn't help but chuckle as he knew from experience. "Kasaiya, send for Tia..and fix your face you are too young to have such pride in your ability."

The hot headed angel reluctantly vanished from existence leaving the calm-faced angel to peacefully recline herself to the lines of Angels in the sky who were keeping any form of aggression from sparking.

"Malara Tor, and the person called Jawa. I've heard much about you. More than I'd really care for as it tends to repeat after a while. You wanted to speak to me and the people it seems so I am here to accompany them. As for your husband, I cannot help you. I have no knowledge of who could have taken them as far as I know. The Daughters however....that is something I can speak to. Call them out of hiding and have them cease aggression and I will have no need to harm them."

Thaniturge moved to stand with Malara and Jackal. They didn't know who he was, or what he was capable of, and this was fine. He looked at the others as he prepared to speak. He seemed about as connected to his people as his ship was currently connected to the ground. Everyone else had given some nice long speech, and this 'lord' seemed to be in his flowery condescending speech phase. He cleared his throat.

"I would like to point out, when you kick a hornet's nest they all lash out and attack. If I'm not mistaken after their goddess was consumed the fools at the church branded them heretics and ordered them to be purged. People don't take kindly to their own being murdered in the streets without provocation. Especially the devoted followers of a war goddess. But frankly, you're in not in a good position here."

His expression was calm, and he settled back down on his tail, awaiting a response.

Malara's eye twitched a bit at Vorkhan as he spoke. She ran her fingers through her hair, dousing the flames momentarily as she did. Thaniturge basically said everything that due would have in response to Vorkhan's declaration. He wanted her to call her Daughters?

Mal grinned, showing off rows and rows of perfect, serrated teeth. She'd do that, and show this nameless ant exactly what he was dealing with. Very well.

Her voice came not from her lips, but instead projected into the minds of every person on Mes at once. All at once Malara's form changed. She broke in half, fractured like glass but still together. And then she fractured again. And again. Being so close to the Throne of Heaven, she could draw on it's power to a degree.
Before long, Malara was in a form that only Jackal would really recognize. Like a million color mirrors of herself all folded together into a single entity. The civilians who didn't run when the transformation first started found themselves forced to their knees by the weight of Malara's divine authority.

Every citizen of Mes. My name is Jind Malara Tor, Al-Qanh sith Qanh. Goddess of Lust and Battle. CEO of Theia Modeling and Muse Fashion. Destroyer of worlds. Shaker of kingdoms. Eater of Gods. If you are my Daughter or else one who seeks to leave behind this new regime, then come. I will take you from this place and give you a new home. One free of the oppression of the Godslaw and one without the taint and lies of Khalida.

"It seems she is calling out her ilk." His twinned sister's words echoed in his head.

"Mmm" he responded to his close kin who was a long distance away finishing their failsafe preparations.

Now of all the things, he wished he had gotten from his past endeavors, mass communication like that would've been in his top spots. Though the whole divine glowing thing was very much like her mother and he could see the need for visual impression had rubbed off on the girl. As more people ran from the scene the area around him became more or less empty, save for the lines of angels separating the small sea of people looking from afar. It was weird being on the other side of this scenario. If anything he hadn't expected to be here for another couple eons.

"Simple enough then." While he spoke normally the words were more toward himself as he wasn't speaking to her.

Have every one of her worshippers who come peacefully be rounded up and watched over, Awnia.

His order resonated with his kin and soon some angels in the area flew off to carry out their respective tasks

Was it his turn now? Was that how these things usually worked? He coughed a bit as he wasn't able to communicate so broadly and instead would have to speak with some divine authority for the people to hear his words clearly.

"You are right Sir." He was looking toward Thaniturge to show just exactly who he was addressing "The actions the church initiated was not for the gain of the people but for themselves and the flexing of power they hoped to hold on to. I say it again to you, fair being of Mes. Your church was vile and corrupt. The power they held not only over your minds but your lives was too great for a world with so many ideas and ideals. That is why Eighteen thousand bodies were put into the earth. To free you of shackles both physically and mentally.

When we came here it was not for ourselves or for greed. The worlds of your lost goddess are vast and it is no mistake her Renewal will take time. Even now my brothers and sister look to protect those who need it when in their hearts I know they hold great vengeance and anger. I say this because I try my best to be honest with not only you but with myself."

His eyes shifted toward Malara

"That is why when you say 'my people' all I can see are lies. When you used the daughters as fodder for your own ascension in power were they 'your people'. When you proclaimed that the daughters would keep the peace did you return when their violence plagued the innocent? Even now as your friend here ask for people to join you you threaten their lives over the daughters and your husband hoping to leave a sea of corpses.

Do what you want people of Mes. I am no god nor does your queen wish to close emigration as numerous have already left to distant worlds. I only hope your decision is in your interest and not the ego of the proclaimed righteous as before. Will she fight for you as she has promised in the past? Does her interest lie with the people she left to rot, and has not only professed to you to show little care but to those who despite their own anger try their best to return your lives to normal with civilized decency?

I do not ask you to stay but to consider the lives you would be taking on. To the Prax, Lypsi, Bauleh, Yurikhem and all the other beings of this planet who have suffered. I wish you the best of blessing and will wholeheartedly try my best to leave you with a brighter future."

He finished his speech and walked over to one of those who chose to kneel. Squatting down he spoke, "You should prepare for your departure brother." The person kneeling was with his kids and the twin boys were simply following in his footsteps. "And that of your family."

He watched as those who were clear that they would not be punished in any way began to leave to make themselves ready. Others simply watched while hecklers were quickly squashed from inciting violence. While he silently admired the bravery of some he also wondered in the back of his mind......how the hell was she going to move her followers. He was not privy to space travel but what they had certainly seemed...inadequate to say the least. Teleportation maybe? And this husband business.....was that why the girl was important?

"Its done."
His twinned sisters voiced echoed in his ears.

"Good then." He gave a small sigh.

A speech. A grandiose, epic speech... but Jackal had expected that. He sat patiently, annoyed at having to wait and yet not quite willing to interrupt. If he interrupted, it might have come across as him not wanting Vorkhan to talk, but no, he wanted him to talk. He had been ignorant the last time he'd been to Mes, but this time he was in the loop. He knew what was going on.

And boy, did he have opinions.

So he waited for them to turn away, and then he lifted his spear, slamming the end back down in the soil.

"Hypocrisy," Jackal said. His voice seemed strangely loud as he stared down at Vorkhan. "All your pretty words are just look at me, I am a better god, why would you trust this god who abandoned you?" Jackal paused for a moment, making the briefest gesture to Malara.

"But even so, your law is still corrupt. You fail to understand how people are. You think that if you stand atop a pile of corpses and declare that discrimination is bad, people will no longer hate each other. You cannot take millions of years of slavery and discrimination and then wave your hand and make it go away. You say you are bringing justice, but instead you are simply declaring things fixed and ignoring the rest."

Oh, he certainly did have opinions, didn't he?

"You say the church was vile and corrupt, and for that you killed eighteen thousand people to free the people from them. But you haven't. The church still stands. You now stand, backing a monarchy that is founded on the principal that they have been chosen by a goddess who is evil. You describe the church as an infection, but you did not cut them out."

Jackal slammed the butt of his spear down again, but he didn't look angry. There was a cold in his voice instead.

"A man is a slave. He is born a slave. He lives a slave. He has a child. The child is taken away from him, and he has no right to complain. He never sees the child again. And then Malara kills Khalida. She dethrones the old god and withdraws to rest and recover. You sweep in and make your changes. That man is now free. He no longer has a job. He no longer has a home. If he does not get a job soon, he will be punished. He will be charged money he does not have. What happens when he cannot pay? He becomes a slave to your government."

Jackal took a single step forward, slamming his spear down once more.

"The turac can go to a new land. That will be their new home. But they cannot claim the land as their own--if they do, they will be killed. They go to be free, but instead they are slaves. They have to follow your overseers instructions on where to live and how they're supposed to work."

Jackal's gaze was firmly on Vorkhan as he finished his speech.

"So if you came here for their own good. If you came here to free them. Why have you not freed them? Why have you implemented corrupt, amoral laws, which exist to punish those who are the most downtrodden?"

Vorkhan finished helping an older lady get up who seemed to have gotten to her knees quite find but wasn't in the best shape to revert back to a standing position. All the while he listened to the words of "Jawa". He should've asked for a more proper name but that seemed like an irrelevant matter at the moment. If that is what the man wanted to be called then so be it.....Speaking of names. He handed the elderly lady off to a nearby civilian who offered to take her away from the area.

" Vorkhan." He whispered to himself before clearing his throat once more. He didn't have to as there was nothing produce there for him to clear away but regardless he had picked the habit up.

Vorkhan turned to the people still around and looked at them in their faces. While he could have looked Jawa in the face his words were for the people and all those who chose to listen. The points he brought up were true. Transparency was good and they were discussing the lives of others.

" To all of you who've I've sworn my eternity to I can assure you that your words are not falling on deaf ears, not anymore. From the day I first came here I made it clear that I was no god, nor do I wish to be. While Jawa believes that I wish to lord over you in any way he is wrong. When I was named de facto ruler of Mes by the royal family I accepted out of respect. When you praised me as someone holier than though I swore to you that I wasn't because I am not. I am simply a person with an ability to help.

First, off I should inform you who have not heard or did not care to learn that the Godslaw were not and are not just simply my laws. It is the collective thoughts of people from all walks of life and heritage. The Messian Freedom Liberation Party sat down with us and worked out many of our thoughts. The People of Religious Martyrdom sat down with us. The list goes on and on. I am not a native here and the history is rich and full of things I will need help with. That is why I thank those who berate or praise the work we've done because regardless it only opens a new path to a better civilization for you."

Vorkhan reciprocated a strong look back to Jawa and continued.

"You have misunderstood our mission it seems. When did I declare that all our problems were fixed? If they were perfect and everything was perfect then I would not need to be here no? We have righted some wrongs but there is still much work to do which is why I am here. The Church, for instance, is vast and many who choose to follow the Kravuni faith still adamantly use it. Should I destroy the church because a few were rotten? Should I punish the good who were simply ignored because they had neither the power or platform to remove the truly heinous? Should I punish the followers who wish to walk into their churches and praise their higher power because of the actions of a few? The church will continue to be as it is in the hopes and guidance to a better spiritual leadership.

The Queen and her kin are not my concern as it is not my right to replace the government solely on my opinion. Many of the people believe in the Monarchy and that the crown can do good. Those who don't think so are allowed to but when I start promoting the thoughts of the few over the many for the sake of only their benefit then corruption will follow. Should the people want her removed that is on her. Should they want her to abdicate that is on her. I will simply be the barrier to violence when none is needed. If in the future the Monarchy becomes something that must be removed then we will do our best to handle it.

As it stands the Queen is trying to right the wrongs of her ancestors and herself. The people seem to have taken to that and still she remains.
No matter what her families history is or how they came to power does not matter anymore. We must try to take was steeped in offense and make better of it. Or would you rather I have them all executed because of their ancestors? As it stands the royal family is in support of a free Mes and whether they like it or not the people will have a say. "

He looked back toward the people by him.

"And finally to address slavery. What Jawa told was a story that holds some truth to it. Only without our interruption the man's story only gets worse. A man is a slave. He is born a slave. He lives a slave. He has a child. The child is taken away from him, and he has no right to complain. He never sees the child again. And then Malara kills Khalida. She dethrones the old god and withdraws to rest and recover. The man is still a slave. The man may never get the chance to see his child. The man dies a slave or rallies enough support to free himself. The man is now a criminal in eyes of the government. The man dies chasing a path that would never lead him to his child.

Creating stories is not hard and when we do, it solves nothing. In truth, if that man does not have a home we work to give him one. If the man needs a job there is an abundance to choose from as gaps in labor have shown due to slaveries weak glue. Even today the government holds the belief that with the new world expansion jobs will be abundant enough to support the slaves freed. We will not assign these jobs to them because they have the right to choose. Placing them around like pieces on a board isn't freedom.

The Overseers and chain of command are diverse with the Overseer of Gomare being the Vice president of the MFL who had both the means an know-how on how to lead the colony to prosperity. However, you are right in saying that we will not allow others to claim land there. If we do, it will lead to violence. These planets are new and the life there is not the same as here.

Giving pockets of people supplies to settle there and calling our job done would be cruel. Warlords will spawn for supplies and sooner rather than later violence would erupt. Even with shared resources, many won't have the skills necessary to properly colonize the surface. Under the direction of an overseer, the people can pave the way for themselves and future generations that will be sustainable. The people who chose to leave for there understood the options before them before leaving and no one was forced to go.

Our goal is a better future and while it will surely be met with challenges we will meet them with all we have."

He really needed Luhena or someone good at speeches for this.....He really wanted to sigh but now wasn't the time to appear stressed.
