As expected, Selkiris wanted the statue and flowers surrounding it to receive extra careful care. Salal hadn't been wrong in her guess. She smiled and nodded, fully intending to respect the man's wish.
"Then I start with them? I show you I take good care, wish to put you at ease. Your garden in good paws with me."
Salal said with a chuckle and lifted her hands a bit, trying to indicate to her small attempt at a joke by calling her hands paws because she was a bear, in a way.
Salal approached the violets and the statue, and kneeled by the flowers to assess their condition. Their colour was healthy and Salal didn't see any signs of over- or underwatering. The soil was still damp, which meant the flowers didn't need to be watered until tomorrow. But to help the flowers stay as vital as possible until then Salal pulled out a spray bottle from her bag, and carefully sprayed a thin sheen of moisture on the flowers, as well as the statue. Then Salal proceeded to dry and give the statue a quick dusting, making sure it had no dirt on it. As Salal worked she made small talk with Selkiris, commenting on the flowers and weather, asking innocent questions that were easy to answer and such. Salal was becoming a lot better at socializing as of late.
"You have a tool shed?"
Salal asked after she was done.
