Alone

Klay took the little wolf of her lap, as she was getting heavy. She leaned back into the sand and looked up at the black sky. She wondered if all the people she met would be able to regonize her in her true form, without her mask. It was a scary thought, but she knew this little dog would still be her friend.

Klay closed her eyes for a minutes, planning to reopen them in a few seconds, but found herself starting to doze off. She turned her head a bit, and her mask slipped over a bit, revealing half of her face. She opened her eyes and jerked her mask back over and then tightened it.

Klay wiggled her foot, as if to say, 'I need to sleep, and you do to'. She closed her eyes and her breath deepened, slowing to the pace one would have when sleeping, because, well, she was sleeping.
