Sprinkles couldn't say exactly how he'd feel about what Natsuki was keeping hidden, but he did believe in the words he spoke aloud. They didn't need to tell each other their secrets all the time. All Sprinkles wanted was some trust.

Natsuki glanced back up to Sprinkles at his insistence to hear her idea, smiling nervously and nodding. It wasn't that she thought that Sprinkles would judge her for it, more than he seemed to be someone quite down to earth and realistic, and she honestly had no idea how far fetched her success with this might seem. "Alright, alright. You're right, we should be able to share stuff."
She curled her tail around her left leg, chewing her lip while she started digging through one of her art boxes to pull out a couple sketchpads. "I, uh...well. I want to be an actual independent mangaka. I have lots of ideas for stories, I feel like my art is good enough, and I wouldn't have to get anybody to help with translation." Opening one of the sketchbooks, Natsuki navigated to a page that she had fully finished, looking up at her roommate and hoping for a favorable reaction.

There was no doubt that Sprinkles found Natsuki's art impressive. He looked at the page showed to him and widened his eyes. "This is fantastic! But... are you sure? You know how all of that works better than me, but... won't you need a lot of help? I heard making manga is really tiring and a lot of people are relieved to never deal with that again when their manga is done. I don't want to see you go in excited and come out exhausted, is all..."
Natsuki flashed Sprinkles a sort of tired smile, as if to say she'd considered all that quite a bit. "Mmmm, yeah. It's definitely not an easy undertaking, and burnout is a legitimate concern, for sure. It's just that I'm not entirely comfortable working with anybody else, at least not just yet. I guess I'm paranoid about somebody taking even a little bit of credit." She trailed off, standing again and getting back to work sorting out her closet.
"Maybe it's a little bit irrational...I'm sure it probably is, actually. I want to be able to prove that I can do it on my own, though, to be recognized for something I alone did." Shaking her head a little, she let out a little strained laugh, starting on putting away her jeans now. "Sorry, I got a little dramatic there. I guess it's just something I want to prove to myself just as much as I want to prove it to the people around me."

""Eeh, webcomics?" Natsuki tilted her head in consideration of Sprinkles' idea, not really having considered that particular medium before. It wasn't a bad idea by any means, but it was something that would need a fair bit of planning. "Mm...maybe so. I'll have to mull it over, as far as how I'd actually want to tackle it." Turning back to her closet, she let out a satisfied sigh in admiration of the modest progress she'd made, then went ahead and flopped back on her bed. "...I think rooming with you was a good call. Hopefully we'll be able to at least make each other feel a little more at home."
What she said next he certainly hadn't expected. It was a sentimentality he didn't think would show up after they just chatted about webcomics. But it was also a sentimentality he appreciated. "I think so too. Having someone I'm familiar with will definitely make this place feel easier to deal with."
