Sprinkles had to admit, he kind of regretted asking to be put into a dorm with someone else. He didn't have a lot of stuff to move, mostly clothes, but it didn't make the task any less annoying. Plus, moving left a bad taste in his mouth after being kidnapped from his first home. The only upside was knowing he would have someone else to be with. Natsuki was talented too. There were lots he could learn from her.

After shoving some boxes into his room, he flopped down on the floor and groaned. These were the times when having a long, dreamless nap would be nice. Unfortunately, the dreamless part was near impossible with so much going on nowadays. The horrors he would see when awake always followed him in his dreams.

Natsuki, in contrast to Sprinkles' trepidation, was mostly just relieved to be sharing a space with someone again on q regular basis. She was tugging along a makeshift sled of sorts, a few boxes stacked up on a large piece of cardboard. It was also mostly clothes, with art supplies making up most of the rest.

Making it to the new door, Natsuki gave a quick knock on the frame and peeked in, her eyes scanning over the boxes already here, then falling on Sprinkles. "Oh, heya. Seems like you've been busy." The other NEK0 kept pulling her boxes in and onto the opposite side of the room, promptly stretching and scratching her arm.

"Moving is grossss. I'm tired, but not tired. Exhausted. That's the word. Computers are heavy, man... Then I have to set everything up... I'll be dead by the end of this."

He rolled over and made a melodramatic groan. It sounded like someone was killing him, but in a way that a soap opera would do it. "All your stuff looks light in comparison."

Natsuki's brow raised at her new roommate's assessment of moving and why it did indeed suck, an amused smirk playing across her lips just briefly before she shrugged. "Yeah, that sounds about right. Computers are like, metal and such. I'm mostly loaded down with paper and pencils."

She kicked off her shoes over in the corner, already not showing much worry for organization, then slid over to peek at Sprinkles' assortment of stuff. "Well. I've never really messed with computers all that much, but I can help you out if you want. Just be an extra pair of hands?" She paused, then shrugged again. "I'm really not used to having this much stuff in the first place, but mine should still be easy to put away."

"I wouldn't mind help just pushing boxes around. But, uh, I'd rather unpack things myself. I'm... a bit picky with how my stuff is handled anyways." He looked away from Natsuki, embarrassed by how strict he was. But also embarrassed by how they both knew he was weak, and doing everything himself would be a lot more work than necessary. "Nothing against you. Back home, I'm almost always the one handling them." He forced himself to sit up, already tired of throwing a pity party.

"Did they give you more things when you came here or did you go on a shopping spree? I only bought some winter stuff."

Natsuki thoughtfully nibbled on the inside of her cheek, staying quiet while he explained that he didn't want the help. She could relate to the craving for independence, or rather wanting to prove to oneself that you can do something just so you know you're capable. "Hey, I get it. It's all good." She moved over to one of her clothes boxes on the pile, opening it up and heading to the closet with it.

At Sprinkles' question about her shopping, she tilted her head for a moment and then shrugged, starting to hang up some shirts. "I guess a bit of both, really. I had some stuff that I definitely wanted to get right off the bat, being all my art stuff." She squinted at a cat-eared hoodie after pulling it from the box, blowing some lint off of it and hanging it up. "Some more clothes than what they gave me, too. Guess I'm sort of trying to reinvent myself in little ways."

"Heh, I relate. I have almost no idea what I want to do here. Only thing I've really changed is acting like a boy, and that's been rocky." He shivered, thinking about that awful charm that changed his sex. There weren't enough pros to outweigh the cons in that.

"I had a lot of stuff, mostly clothes and computer parts, so they didn't need to give me anything extra. I gotta save up my allowance until I find myself a job, anyways. What have you been trying to reinvent yourself as, actually?"

Natsuki glanced back over to Sprinkles, noting his expression and body language relating to the point about gender. She grabbed a nice button up shirt, smoothing it out and hanging it on the opposite side from the hoodie. "So you're just super recently starting to transition, huh? I'll admit I know barely anything about any of that, but like...I mean, goes without saying that I'm on board with whatever makes you comfortable."

Natsuki had hesitated in saying that a bit, not wanting to come off as someone trying to act supportive out of some kind of obligation. Sprinkles' question was a good one for sure, and Natsuki certainly wished she had a better answer for it. "Mmm...I guess there's nothing really too concrete, yet. Mostly I'm doing my best to distance myself from the bad parts of how things were before, being...well, everything after my first owner. I also want to establish myself as an independent artist without somebody else taking the credit because I can't."

Sprinkles nodded and smiled. It was kind of awkward talking about his transition, but it was nice that Natsuki was okay with it. Sprinkles was aware of how LGBT-friendly the island is, but that didn't mean all of the NEK0s were the same way.

"Your owner just stole... Oh, right..." Sprinkles was almost offended for Natsuki. Sprinkles wasn't an artist, but if someone acted like something he made was theirs, he would be extremely angry. What cut Sprinkles off was how their existence was supposed to be secret. Of course Natsuki couldn't take credit for her own work.

"That's... That's so unfair. I'm sure you'll be a great artist. Have you considered doing online commissions? I heard those are pretty popular, and you don't need to hide anymore."

Sprinkles' reaction about her art essentially mirrored her feelings on the matter, or at least how they were now. She laughed breathlessly and went to sit down for a quick rest after finishing hanging her first box of clothes, kicking her shoes off haphazardly into the corner. "Ah, yeah...at the time, I was pretty chill about Azuma using my ideas, and my drawings. It's a good chunk of why he bought me, after all."

Natsuki rolled her toes through the carpet, the softness of it catching her focus for a brief moment while she pondered how much she should really say about this. "...I'm more bitter about it, now. Less forgiving, if I'm being honest. Commissions on the side aren't a bad idea, either, but I'm actually, uh..." She paused, laughing again, smiling a little more genuinely this time. "You'd probably think it's stupid."
