Now that the days were warmer, Evelynn liked to sit on the beach, watching the waved move in and out. Today, she wore white shorts and a purple top, some of her rune scars (that she would usually conceal) on show, instead of her usual dress. Her feet were submerged in the sand as the sea moved gradually closer. Children laughed and played, seagulls wailed and soared overhead and the cool breeze swept along the coast, occasionally blowing sand into her face.
Her eyes began to glow a bright violet as sand begane to dance before her. Twisting and swirling as she tried to bring them together to form a sandcastle. It looked more like a mound. There were too many things to move at once, she couldn't manage it with her mind. She huffed and caused the mound to be knocked over, her eyes returning back to normal. Her father always nagged her about needing to work harder and practice her powers but she always argued that she had complete control over them - that wasn't exactly true. Whilst she was very good with her abilities, she could not move too many things at a time. Suddenly, a beach ball came hurtling towards her. Her eyes immediately glowed as the ball stopped mid-air in front of her face. Evelynn sent it flying back in the direction it came, grumbling.
