Her first step had been to make sure that she could go into the ballroom at night when there were no events being held. Alma was having fun doing this scavenger hunt thing, but she didn't want to break any rules and get kicked off the student council. She needed to set an example.
The riddle had mentioned stars, which made Alma look up once she was inside. That was why she had chosen to come at night. Maybe the balcony outside of the ballroom? Or one of the high windows? She really couldn't be sure.
