Flutterpip just got her class schedule for the next semester and on it was algebra. Algebra! She has heard all sorts of horror stories about how you have to learn all kinds of weird rules and such. From the sounds of it, it will be worst than long division. She had the final exam with both grades (the test and semester's final). She stuffed it into her purse (a pocket dimension she can put all sorts of things) and pulled out her plate (just a pop bottle cap) and her tiny cup.
Heading to the cafeteria, she got in line. Picking up a couple of fresh peas and a drop of water, she flew over to her favorite spot, a table by the wall. Picking up one of the peas, she nibbled on it. Well, she might as well find out what she made on the test. Pulling out the paper (it was not the actual test, but a piece of paper the teacher wrote the scores on) and took a look. She dropped the pea she was nibbling on in surprised unbelief. She had made a 95 on the test and a B+ for the semester.
She stood up, sending the other pea rolling across the table, and did a fist-to-knee pump, "YES!" She was going to get that video game system! The first thing that popped into her head was to tell Shiro. Dropping the paper, she fetched out her smartwatch and texted Shiro.
[Shiro: I got a B+ in math!]
She was beside herself, giddy with delight, now to wait until Naisis gets the report card. She went back and got another pea and a cup of water since she lost both of them in her excitement.
