Personality Description:

• Flippant - Alex has trouble taking most situations seriously. He likes to make jokes in response to most things he sees, yet sometimes those jokes can come off as passive aggressive or sarcastic. He prefers portraying himself as an easy-going kid, and even during intense situations, he feels the need to make a joke to lighten the situation up. At times his jokes aren't appreciated, mostly because they can be poorly timed and make him seem like he doesn't care about what's happening around him. Another thing he enjoys is messing with people using his powers. Because his arms are invisible, it's very easy for him to tease people using them by making them think someone is behind them, that random things are falling around them, or that someone shoved them. Alex tries to not be rough with his pranks and considers them to be a good way to practice his abilities.
  
  
• Lazy - With the power to levitate objects and people, Alex has developed an over-reliance on his power. He will use his psychic arms for the most mundane of things, such as levitating the remote, food, or his mouse just to achieve small activities. Alex also has a habit of waiting until the last second to finish something, especially homework. No matter how much people try to convince him things would be easier if he planned things out, he tries to argue back by saying he works well under pressure. He doesn't, and will often panic and try to rush what he needed to do or ignore it and hope it goes away.
  
  
• Night Owl - The night is Alex's home. Functioning during the day is a struggle, so he often takes naps during the day so he can stay up all night. He doesn't mind this since the night is relaxing and is quiet enough for him to practice his abilities without distraction. Sometimes he'll leave his dorm at night just to wander, but he still tries to play it safe by visiting areas he's familiar with or places he knows will have a lot of people. Still, at times he gets a bit cocky and will go out to cool-looking places with little to no people around and convince himself his arms will keep him safe.
  
  
• Animal Lover - While Alex has never owned a pet himself, he could never resist giving any animal around him his love. He loves looking up animal pictures, learning about misconceptions on animals, and bombarding pet owners with questions about their pets. Now that Alex's on Manta Carlos, he feels safer when he's around people who can turn into animals or have animal-like qualities, but he has to frequently remind himself that some of the more animalistic people are still as sentient as he is.

Biography:
From the time he was a toddler, Alex always knew about his abilities. It was just a natural thing to him, and since they were invisible, there was nothing for him to worry about hiding. Since he thought everyone had arms like him he didn't hesitate to talk to his parents about his arms the moment he could speak. Instead of responding with fear, his parents were amazed. Having an enhanced human for a child opened up so many possibilities to their lives, and even if nothing much came out of this, it was still a wonder to see and know enhanced humans could exist. He was often called their little superhero due to them comparing his abilities to comic books, though he didn't try to live up to that idea. Alex was too reckless with his abilities, and it got to the point where he was switched to homeschooling during first grade so his parents could keep track of his abilities until he was old enough to use them maturely. Not that he ever learned how to do so; he enjoyed playing pranks on people. Starting as a toddler, sometimes he would use his arms to knock over things or touch people, then watch as they think things are falling randomly or they're having small hallucinations. It became easier to do these things as he became older since his arms because longer and it wasn't as easy to connect weird situations back to Alex.

Alex considered himself a typical teenager, other than his abilities. He had a great friend group, he preferred to stay inside to play console games, and he developed a talent for using his powers to assist him with winning games. Due to how reckless Alex can be with his powers since he practices using them through pranks, there have been a few times people realized something was abnormal about him. Eventually, he gained a reputation in the neighborhood for being a troublemaker, with some of the more metaphysical-minded people believing him to have ghosts on his side. Alex tried his best to keep his powers hidden, but after he had messed with a bully for a week out of annoyance, the rumors became stronger, and he was eventually approached by someone saying they were a scout for a school for people like him. Hesitant to leave his friends and the semi-normal life he had his parents encouraged him to go and went with him to the islands called Manta Carlos where he went to attend a school called Starlight Academy. Now he lives with his parents in a small house while he tries to remake his once "average" life in a place where everyone is as abnormal as possible.

Powers:

• Psychic Arms › Alex has the power to summon invisible arms from his back that can make themselves longer to reach whatever Alex wants. They are completely invisible to everyone but himself, and Alex can control as tangible they are. Each year he gains a new arm and the arm is able to stretch out twenty meters more. As an infant, he had no arms, but when he became one-year-old he received his first arm and it had the starting length of 1.8 meters, and each year he grew a new arm and gained 0.28 meters in length. Now that he's fifteen, he has fifteen arms that are six meters long.
  
  Because of the arms relying on Alex's mind, they are only as strong as his mind is. If he is under stress, tired, or something else is happening to his mind that makes him process things slower, his limbs will become unstable and allow things to fall through them as his mind becomes weaker until he passes out to recover.
  
  Alex knows he can use these arms for offense and defense purposes, but so far he has had no need to use them to protect himself. For offense, his limbs can function as shields to wrap themselves around Alex, and for offense, they are sharp enough to be used claws or swords. His arms can be cut off, forcing Alex to take a break to regenerate them. If his arms are cut off at their base (where they come from his back), it will take Alex about a week to regenerate each one. Meaning if all fifteen of his arms were cut off, Alex would need about fifteen weeks to fully regenerate his arms. This process can be faster if he has a lot of time to relax his mind, or it can be slower if his mind is busy or under stress.
