Appearance Description:
Ailbhe stands at 5’5 but carries herself in a way that can make her seem ‘bigger’. She has a thin build but has a well toned body, and well toned muscles from exercise and fighting. She is quite curvy.
Her skin is naturally extremely pale, having come from a naturally colder country. However, her skin tans very easily so she is usually lightly tanned as a result. She has various scars on her torso and arms, but none that are visible when wearing clothing.
She has long, straight, rich brown hair which reaches to just below her shoulders. She doesn’t really brush it often, but it doesn’t really get tangled. It gives her this natural ‘wild’ look to her hair, like she’s meant to be standing in wind. Her hair always faintly smells of salty sea water.
Her eyes are a bright turquoise and can appear to be more blue or more green depending on the lighting.
Her clothing can change a lot. It always is usually an outfit which is a stereotypical pirate outfit, and usually shows a lot of skin. More often than not, she’s wearing a tank top a size or two too small so it only reaches to just above her belly button, along with navy blue pant with a leather belt and leather pants. She’ll usually be wearing a jacket and tricorn hat with matching colours, and gloves that vary in colour depending the mood she’s in that day.
She has a second belt for a pistol holster, and for a sword sheath. However, when around in Manta Carlos in public, both are usually not there.
When in seal form, she appears to be an average grey Harbor seal, also known as a common seal. Quite often found on the coasts of Scotland.
Personality Description: Burning anger. People who meet Ailbhe for the first time will find a passionate fury in the woman. She does everything like she’ll get the sweetest revenge at the end of it. When she is actually doing something where she’ll get sweet revenge? It’s intensified. She isn’t really loud, but you can feel the seething before you see her.
Ailbhe is surprisingly compassionate though. Due to her selkie nature, she is very motherly. Those she perceives to be weaker than her, or are children, she will be very kind to and protective. She’s generally quite kind to other women or people who do not identify as either gender.
Ailbhe is very loyal. To her crew, to her friends. She will never leave someone behind and will act very reckless to help a friend in need. If she sees a friend down, she’ll try to cheer them up. If they’re in danger, she’ll halt everything to help them. This does put her in very difficult situations when she has more than one friend in need. She acts very impulsively.
She has a deep love for the ocean and water, and loves swimming. It’s the closest she can get to being back home, after all.
Ailbhe is still a rather spiteful person with a lot of grudges, but has mellowed out now that she's been on the island for a few months now. She previously had a really bad grudge against men due to her past, but is now fairly casual around them. However, although she doesn't hate romance anymore, she's still pretty touchy about it and gets uncomfortable when she sees public displays of affection.
Active Abilities: Seal Form - When with access to her seal skin, Ailbhe is able to become a seal. She has the exact same capabilities that a seal does but is not able to talk and has to wait a while before she can become human again. Can become human by coming on land and shedding her skin.
Passive Abilities: Improved Aquatic Ability - Due to being a selkie, being separated from her skin for an extended period of time and from personal training, Ailbhe moves in the water with a far more natural ease than a human. She is able to hold her breath underwater longer than a human on average.

Biography: Ailbhe was simply a selkie and always knew that it could entirely be possible that during a trip to land, her skin would be stolen and she’d marry the thief. It was just something that happened. If anything, deep down, she wanted it before it actually happened.
When she was 16, her skin was stolen while she was on the land. For a while, her and her thief lived together. She believed that they’d be together forever. But she constantly found herself pulled to the ocean and her thief didn’t like that. Eventually, he left her alone and took her skin along with him.
Broken hearted and unable to return home, she changed her sadness to pure anger. She grew to hate men, and to hate romance. Eventually, through several events, Ailbhe encountered a group of people. Misfits, loveless, alone. She acted like a mother to them and they quickly formed an unbreakable bond. It was them versus the world.
The group were able to steal themselves a ship and they sailed out to sea. They very rapidly started committing piracy and smuggling. They formed their own infamy and were feared. With Ailbhe leading them as a very stereotypical pirate captain, their morale was high. Using her improved aquatic ability, she was able to do little tricks that other pirates in the modern age are unable to do. This made them very successful.
Eventually, Manta Carlos scouts caught on that she was unusual. Due to her surprising subtlety and only being known for piracy rather than her abilities, she never actually risked breaking the veil. But, she decided to come to Manta Carlos anyway.
Life is always an adventure, after all.
Additional Information: Used to dislike men, but has mellowed out. Still touchy about romance. Is in possession of a pistol and a cutlass sword but leaves this in her personal quarters. Has a speedboat at the pier for when she wants to leave Manta Carlos and return to her ship and crew.
