Ai To The Rescue!

It was late, Ai had been out doing some light shopping and dropping by Di Niushi's restaurant before he closed it for the night. But everything was well light for her and it was pleasant...until she smelled something in the air. Blood, the wet copper smell was chilling since it was fresh but underneath all of that was a familiar smell. It was like right before lighting strikes, or a very strong thunderstorm...Aedan was in trouble. he was a friend and he was in danger.

Not even hesitating she bounded into the dark alley nearby following the smell. Soon she found a trail, it was fresh. That wasn't good... She began to move faster, a small glow around her began to shine and the ears of a wolf sprung up on her head and her speed began to increase almost exponentially as she raced through the alley ways.

This was bad...and it was happening on such a good day too...

It wasn't long before she found him moving along, wounded. Bleeding, and from the look of it being hunted. "Aedan! What's going on here!" The tiny girl tried to yell loud enough to reach him as she continued to move closer. Whoever this person was attacking her friend was going to pay for it.

There was a blast of light, Ai recognized it as Aedan's light and she had to tilt her head away so not to get blinded by the sudden brightness. She also heard them coming towards her and to defend herself she ducked as they sailed over her head. Next thing she saw was a man on top of Aedan with some knives. Something inside of Ai flicked on like the warning sirens to a Nuclear core Meltdown. There was a golden radiance that came over Ai. To her Ai knew that she was controlling more of her siblings power then she had before.

To the other two it would look like Ai went from being 16 to 22. She was now 6 feet tall with well defined athletic muscles, her clothing was still a wool sweater and school uniform skirt but sized to her new proportions. Her eyes though were streaming a gold burning energy as she looked down upon the mercenary that was attacking Aedan. Ai moved in a blur of motion and light and before the man could do anything Ai had picked him up and tossed him further down the alley and away from Aedan.

Still looking at the Mercenary Ai moved to stand between her wounded friend and their attacker. She spoke to Aedan and her voice only carried to him, another gift of her family. "Friend Aedan, how badly wounded would you say you are right now?" Her voice, was mature, powerful and carried the sound of the raging power of the Shēngxiào Family.

"They may not be after me friend Aedan. But they are after you, and I can not allow that." Then in another blur of motion and light what looked like tiger paws with claws over-layed her hands and she moved in to attack the man. With sudden deft clawing strikes she mauled the unprepared Mercenary. Near the end of the mauling it would look like Ai herself was over-layed entirely by a golden tiger.

Once the gruesome act was done the light began to fade from around Ai and her size decreased until she looked like the young 16 year old she had been before. There was nothing of this man's blood on her, it only ever touched the golden light and it had fizzled away so the little girl was untouched. But as she blinked she took a wobbly step back from the corpse she had just made putting a hand up to her lips shocked at what she had done. Tears looked to be close but she shook them away and turned around to Aedan and ran to his side.

"You're hurt Aedan! We need to get you to the Hospital!" Ai said tears in her eyes again but for a different reason. "Can you move okay?!"

When he said no to going to the hospital Ai gave him a 'WHAT!' look before he expained that he had a robot that could patch him up. "Aedan! You said you might have a Concussion! That sort of stuff requires medical attention from professionals!" She bounded forward trying to stay at pace with the taller man.

"Aedan I don't want you to get hurt more, but concussions are serious buisness!...and that actually makes me want to ask something else. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING! That guys looked like he might know what he was doing, what could have possessed a person attack you...wait you had 4 bullet wounds...Why were they shooting you?!" Ai was rolling through questions as they came to her mind and she was still trying to convince Aedan that he needed to go to the hospital.

"People don't usually just full on try to MURDER you if you haven't done something Aedan!" She bounded forward a bit getting in front of Aedan so he would be forced to look her in the eyes. "And don't lie to me, If I feel like you aren't telling the truth I will FORCE you to go to the hospital."

Ai moved out of his way as he only slightly pushed passed her to continue moving forward but she still kept pace with him as he explained. "A Vigilante? Like...from those superhero comics some of the other kids talk about?" Growing up in a more rural village in the Himilayas did not give one much of an education into comic books.

Then Aedan explained how they had attacked him from behind and without honor. Ai Rolled her eye a bit at that. "If they attacked you any way they have no honor, why wouldn't they do it from behind? If you've been any success with this vigilante work then of course they would only choose to come at you when they have every advantage."

When Aedan stumbled Ai moved forward and put one of his arms over her shoulder and she tapped gently into her brother Ox's domain and she grew a little bit and gathered enough strength to help support her friend. Though Ai could feel the strain of using more energy but this was worth it if she was helping her friend. "Do you even have back up when you're out and about? You could be even more seriously wounded and no one would know until you're dead."

Ai sighed a bit as she realized with how much blood Aedan was loosing and not knowing how long he had been this way she reached down and put him into a bridal carry as she tapped fully into her strength carrying Aedan to his apartment. "I'm not going to loose a friend Aedan. You need help."
