Private Finished [agodr] The "Rite" Kind of Tea Ceremony

Putting a few tablespoons of tea leaves in the pot, Celeste poured the boiling water on them and let it steep while she prepared the two cups - one for Agatha and the other for Mr. Parsons.

Then she took the strainer and poured the tea through it into each cup, making sure no tea leaves had filtered through into the cups of tea. Then she gave each cup of tea a gentle swirl with a teaspoon, mixing the contents of each cup, before she then placed each cup before Agatha and Mr. Parsons to try.

Mr. Parsons listened and tasted both cups of tea, they were both good in his opinion and could not quite decide who he'd choose. Thinking hard about this he decided to ask them to make a third cup of tea.

"They are both quite exceptional ... I cannot yet decide," He told them truthfully. "How about you each make a third cup of tea? A tea with a twist of lemon and a hint of honey," he suggested.

Celeste also prepared another two cups of tea, one for Agatha and another for Mr. Parsons, each one with a little twist of lemon and a dollop of honey, not actually realising that Mr. Parsons had said a dash, and not dollop, which was significantly more than a dash.

Handing both regalias their new cups of tea, she waited patiently for them to take a sip.

Glancing at the teacup, then at Celeste, Mr. Parsons tasted his tea and then quirked an eyebrow, "My dear Celeste, a dash of honey, not a dollop," he stated quite surprised that his partner had failed in something so basic.

"Oh no..." Celeste replied as she realized what she had done. It was a basic error, but an honest one. "I put in too much honey, didn't I?" she remarked somewhat disappointed in herself, not that she had lost, but that she had not paid attention.

"I guess that means you win, Ignatius," Celeste said flashing a real smile, happy for her student.

"You are talking to a home ec teacher that loves to bake," Celeste grinned, "The question isn´t "Is there?" but "What is there?", she said as she made her way to the classroom pantry and pulled out some homemade oatmeal cookies and some freshly made scones that would go perfectly with a bit of butter and jam which she also grabbed and set on the table they had used for the challenge.

"Scones with strawberry preserves and homemade oatmeal cookies," Celeste said as she gestured for Iggy to come over and help himself.
