Private Finished [AGoDR] Switch it up

Tomo was lounging on a tree, her eyes closed and leg swaying back and forth slowly. To an outsider it might've looked like she was relaxing, maybe even napping. But she was tensed and ready to pounce if necessary, and her senses were alert and observing the surroundings.
At the base of the tree there was an elderly man with gray hair and bright blue eyes. He was clearly alert as well, and looked at the woods surrounding them his arms crossed loosely. He looked up and Tomomi with a slight frown.
"You just got be and are already switching for a newer model? That could normally hurt a weaker man's feelings, kiddo."
Tomo opened one of her eyes a bit and looked at the man, smirking a bit and shrugging.
"Don' take it seriously man. Yer power is cool an' all but I need the other one more. It ain't 'bout me."
Tomo opened both her eyes and jumped off the branch, landing perfectly. She looked at a spot in the woods with alert eyes.
"They're here."

Ava made her way through the woods, and walking timidly after her was a short, plain looking man with big glasses and big eyes. He looked around him unsurely and tugged Ava's shirt.
"I-it's okay if you trade me and all that, but I really don't want to bother anyone. Are you sure you want to do this?"
Ava sighed and looked back at the man, and prepared to explain for the millionth time.
"Listen. Though you're annoying you're not a bad guy. But this regalia can literally half all damage done by attacks. That's awesome, and frankly I'd rather do that than heal souls. Sorry, but yeah, I'm sure."
Ava knew these words were rude, but this guy had the self-esteem of a worm. He just nodded meekly and resumed following Ava.

Soon enough they arrived where she and the cat girl had agreed to meet. Ava saw Tomomi and her regalia waiting by a tree, and Ava waved in a large motion, grinning a bit.
"Heyo, ready to do this?"

Welp, Ava seemed enthusiastic enough. Tomo smirked back at her and perched her hands on her hips.
"Hell yeah, let's get this over with."
Tomo peered at the small man, that was hiding behind Ava, glancing at Tomo. Tomo raised a brow at him and he waved at her in a small motion. Huh, pretty meek, this guy.
"So, how do we do this?"
Tomo partly asked that question from her soon-to-be ex-regalia, who was standing beside Tomo, observing Ava. Ava was observing him right back with a confident look in her eyes. The older man smiled a bit.
"I like this kid. Has more fire than you, Tomo."

Ava liked the look of this guy. He was tall and though he was old he looked sturdy. And when he praised Ava she grinned and flexed her arm.
"Hell yeah I do! I'm a lava dragon, got fire to spare."
Ava's regalia looked at Tomo from behind her back, and Tomo looked back at him. He could feel her soul, and all the damage done to it. It was in shambles, almost broken, and that made him feel so very bad for this girl. Ava's soul was damaged too but so much less so than this girl's. He tugged Ava's shirt again a bit.
"I would like to help this girl. She is in pain."
Ava looked at the man bit confused but shrugged.
"Now you can help her as much as you wanna, you're her regalia. Right!"
Ava raised her voice and looked at Tomo and the regalia by her.
"If both our regalia are okay with it then let's switch it up! Come on, big guy! I wanna see what you can do."
Ava smiled at the older man, who smirked right back and started towards Ava.

Tomo could hear what Ava's regalia said, and flinched a bit. He wanted to help her? She was getting him because Tomo wanted to help her siblings, not herself. But she let it go and instead looked at the older man beside her.
"Ya get to really heat things up with her."
She smirked a bit. The older man looked at her sideways and ruffled Tomo's hair, making her groan a bit.
"Gotta say, you really seem like you need some soul healing, kid."
With that he smirked at Ava and made his way to her. In turn the meek man left Ava and carefully walked over to Tomo, who was patting her hair a bit. Tomo and the man observed each other for a moment before the man averted his eyes to the ground and reached out his hand.
"Um, let's work well together."
Tomo raised her brow a bit but clasped hands with the guy. His handshake was pretty pathetic.
"Yeah, sure. I got work planned for ya already, so I hope yer ready."
The man looked at Tomo, and almost cried when he saw her broken soul. But he nodded, and the two departed their way after brief goodbye to Ava and her new regalia.
