"What are we doing down at the pier?" Zora asked her regalia, having changed that afternoon into sandals, cut off shorts and a bikini top coupled with a pair of sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. It was, despite the fact it was the beginning of September, exceptionally hot and Zora had found the need to change into something cooler.

"Your new challenger is somewhere around here," Aquarius replied very simply as he looked around the pier and then gestured to a girl standing a few yards away from them. Glancing up at her regalia, Zora nodded her thanks and then made her way over to the young woman, "You wouldn't be one of the people participating in the Divine Rights competition, would you?" she asked politely.

Ailbhe stood with her arms crossed. Her two Regalia were talking among themselves. Frankly she wasn't happy. She couldn't find herself wanting the powers either of them had and she didn't even get along with the pair of ladies. So when she got a call from someone who seemed interested in a trade, or a challenge, Ailbhe was down. She wore a tank top and shorts, with trainers, because she had already decided she would challenge the other contestant. She knew exactly in what.

When Ailbhe saw Zora, she was already prepared to ask basically the same question but was too slow. "Yeah. I am. I'm Ailbhe Douglas." She had a slight impatient tone to her voice. "So you're interested in a trade? So am I. However I've got two Regalia. Let's have a little competition to decide which one you'll get." She smiled sweetly. "If you win, you get to choose either of them. If I win, I get to pick which one you get. The thing we'll do is a swimming race. Deal?" She spoke a bit hurriedly, but there was a look in her eyes that suggested it was because she was excited.

Zora was not expecting - not at all - the enthusiastic suggestion from her opponent, and so she looked at Aquarius for some kind of reaction to this. Expecting something like disapproval, or irritation at the suggestion of trading him, he just shrugged almost despairingly, defeatedly at her. Swearing at this non-reaction, Zora looked at Ailbhe determinedly.

"Nice to meet you, Ailbhe, I'm Zoraida Del Bosque, Zora..." she said with a nod, removing her hat and sunglasses, "Let's do this." she agreed as she then kicked off her sandals, "I don't care who I get, anything to get rid of - him," she said gesturing back to her regalia.

Ailbhe blinked a little surprised that Zora just talked so openly with disdain about her own Regalia. Sure Ailbhe didn’t get along with hers, and wanted to trade, but she couldn’t exactly see herself talking about them that openly. But then she saw the second of her Regalia, one with a truth aspect, seem to look at Zora with... approval? That’s a first.

She shakes her head to get into the mood. She kicked off her trainers and did some stretches. Because she wore a tank top and shorts, it was fairly easy to see some the scars scattered across Ailbhe’s body. Also the decently toned muscles. She walked to the closest water edge and looked ready to dive. There was already a marker thrown out in the water. “We swim to that marker, then back again. First one back wins.” She pulled a grin.

Zora followed Ailbhe to the edge of the water, all the while tying her long hair back behind her head in a ponytail, using a black ribbon, which she often kept wrapped around her wrist. "Right, out to the marker and back," she said in agreement.

Glancing back at her regalia again, Zora saw that he just stood there looking somewhat sad, morose even, like accepting of his fate. This made Zora so frustrated that she just shook her head angrily. Honestly, she could not deal with another emotional male in her life right now, it would drive her crazy. He just needed to go.

"Okay, so on the count of what, three?" Zora asked her as she positioned herself, ready to dive into the water whenever Ailbhe was ready.

Ailbhe nodded and steadied her breathing. “One... two... three!” She shouted the last part and inhaled deeply as she dived into the water. Frankly she wasted zero time powering through the water. She would’ve been a strong swimmer even if she was a regular human, with how she trained herself. But because of her selkie side, she was more fluid in water than humans. She’d be by the marker quick.

As soon as Ailbhe reached the marker she paused for a brief few seconds to catch her breath and to turn around. She didn’t stop to see whereabouts Zora was before she shot off back to land.

Zora dove into the water after Ailbhe, but actually didn't try too hard, she was a strong swimmer - stronger than most. Her immortality gave her a slight edge. However, she actually wanted to get rid of her regalia and would have taken anything that was not so pouty and morose. She could take the kindness aspect, but Aquarius was just too sensitive in way and so just wanted him to go away.

Feeling Ailbhe rush by her in the water, on her way back, made Zora decide to speed up her strokes, taking a huge breathe, diving under the surface, Zora swam forward and did a somersault underwater, kicking off from the buoy that was their marker, and swam faster, just barely catching up to Ailbhe, maybe two seconds from the girl.

Ailbhe rapped the end, cementing her victory. She got out of the water, shivering as the air touched her skin. She jumped a little in place as she’d wait for Zora to get out as well. “Good swim.” She flashed a grin, but held her arms. After a second she’d put her hand out to shake Zora’s hand.

Now for the trade. She wanted to get rid of object lady the moment she got her, and planned for her to the one to trade anyway, but she seemed decently interested in Zora. “You get her, and I’ll get... him.” She pointed at her own Regalia before pointing at Zora’s. The slow realisation that Zora’s Regalia was a dude wasn’t... thrilling. But she could ignore him if she must.

Zora got to the edge just moments later and quickly hoisted herself out of the water. All the working out lately and self-defense classes were clearly making her more agile as well as stronger and with more stamina.

Shaking Ailbhe's hand, Zora grinned, happy to take the other regalia and relinquish her own. "I think they need to bond somehow with us," Zora said as she watched the regalia switch places, each of them laying their hands on their shoulders for a brief second.

After a few moments, it was likely done. Ailbhe frankly felt relieved. She wasn’t really a cold person... much. Only sometimes. But she was also not exactly the most honest. Combined with the fact Ailbhe didn’t really like her second Regalia’s ability, the pair didn’t get along. But having seen Zora’s own cold honesty was what made Ailbhe feel she would be a good match.

Ailbhe turned to the new Regalia she had bonded with. He seemed... pathetic really. A small pang in Ailbhe’s heart reminded her of her crew back when they first started piracy. She pitied him, slightly. She could make this work. Eventually she looked back at Zora. “Well... pleasure doing business with you.” She dusted her hands, but just kinda splashed water from herself.
