Celeste got off the back of the motorbike, removed her helmet, and looked at the young blond man with ice blue, strangely cold, eyes, her new partner for a little while. Dimitri had promised to bond with her, if she completed a challenge of his choosing, and then leave afterward since he had no intention of hanging around - especially around a woman with three kids.

The mere idea of such a thing confused him, a lot of things baffled Dimitri actually, but especially the idea of being tied down. Why would anyone ever want to tie themselves down when there were so many opportunities in life to chase that ultimate thrill, danger, that timely brush with death even?

"Your friend? He will be here when? Like soon?" Dimitri asked coolly as he glanced at his watch. Surprised at the time. The passage of time was still a thing that often confused the young man, regalia. He found it weird that sometimes ten minutes seemed like an hour and hour seemed like nothing. It made no sense to him sometimes, it was in fact baffling.

"He will be here soon, Dimitri, just be patient, okay?" Celeste remarked calmly as she placed the helmet on the bike seat and sat back on the bike as she waited.

Celeste had actually talked to Roldan before they left the house, just to be sure he was okay with everything. She had been hesitant - at first - about asking him to take her flying in his dragon form, but it was either that or skydiving. Dimitri had been adamant with her. If she wanted to bond with him she had two options - dragon flying or skydiving. So here she was, waiting anxiously - with her extremely incompatible regalia, for a man she was interested in, who she hoped didn't think she was being too forward, crazy or odd for wanting him to take her flying in his dragon form.

Roldan wasn't sure what he was exactly expecting when Celeste had called. But it certainly hadn't been her asking if he could take her and her Regalis partner flying. That was... well he had wanted to see the Tournament up close. And this would be a good opportunity to apologize for causing problems with her son.

They'd go on the flight, land, and he'd say it. I'm really sorry I upset your son. But I'll back off. Simple as that... right.

He circled the clearing they had agreed to meet at, spotting the two of them beside a motorcycle. He folded his wings tight to his body and dove like a missile. About two hundred feet above the people on the ground, he opened his wings up and slowed down. Landing deftly on his back legs and leaning forward so that he caught himself on his foreleg-like wings, Roldan whipped his tail around and lifted his head majestically.

Of course he was showing off. His human form was handsome, sure. But his dragon form was fucking exquisite. His voice came out as a harsh rumbling, deep and sharp.

"Good afternoon, Miss Forestier. I hope you and your companion are ready for our flight."

Celeste had actually been lost in thought, nervous, somewhat anxious even, at the idea of all this... She knew she shouldn't be, not really, not logically. But to her the idea of letting Roldan take her up on his back, neck? Celeste actually had no idea how this was going to work - it almost felt like it was too familiar in a way. She knew it might be different if she wasn't interested in him, or if he was a stranger..., maybe? She wasn't sure. The idea of riding on a dragon, who was also a person, wasn't quite the same thing as riding a horse.

So when Roldan landed suddenly in front of them, Celeste actually jumped off the bike, heart racing now, and just stood there for a moment stunned. She hadn't actually seen his dragon form before, and to her amazement, she saw that he was a rather magnificent and somewhat imposing looking creature.

Chuckling at Roldan's words, Dimitri shook his head, "Nope, it's just her," he smirked. "The challenge was for her to do it." he grinned widely and folded his arms as he leant back against the bike.

"I have already been dragon riding," Dimitri said in an almost bored tone. "Too tame for me actually." he added sardonically.

Too tame... Oh he could show this guy how wild a dragon ride could be. But bristling aside, he canted his head at Celeste and bared his teeth a bit. The closes he could manage to a smile in this form. "I'd be happy to take just you then, Miss Forestier."

Rearing up a bit, he lowered his head so that Celeste could climb onto his back. "At the base of my neck, just in front of my wings. Mind the spines, they push back just fine but they're a bit sharp at the ends. I don't want you to get hurt."

Once she was settled, Roldan would explain to her how she should hold on. Grip with her legs like riding a horse. Hold onto his mane with her hands. He promised to go slow at first and let her get a feel for it.

And then Roldan leaned back, tightening his back legs muscles like springs. The next second he launched, opening his wings to catch the air and push the two of them high above the trees.

Celeste just shot Dimitri a cool glance. He was such an ass. Hopefully, he'd be gone soon and this thought gave her the courage to move forward.

"You know, you don't need to call me Miss Forestier," Celeste reminded him as walked up to Roldan's dragon form, not sure why he had chosen to be so formal with her and wondered if it was because of Dimitri.

Doing almost exactly as instructed, and doing it slowly and carefully, strangely enough not wanting to hurt Roldan with a wrong movement, Celeste got on his neck and settled herself successfully, being very careful of his spines as he suggested.

Then, Celeste tightened her thighs against his neck and adjusted her posture a little, grasping his mane in both hands, twisting it gently and entwining it in her fingers, having actually ridden horses before and so was familiar with the position.

Then she prepared herself for whatever came next, "I'm good, Roldan, whenever you want," she told him as she stared down at the dragon she was sitting on, tightening her grip on his mane, feeling nervous again about this.

The two of them were suddenly airborne, and Roldan was distinctly aware of the weight at the base of his neck. It was fine, nowhere near the limit of what he could carry. But it made him remember that he couldn't pull off some of the more daring maneuvers he normally did.

Roldan flapped his wings, gaining altitude until you could see Manta Carlos city off to the distance. Craning his head around, he bares his teeth in a draconic smile and gestured with his snout. "It's great up here, huh?"

Celeste had actually closed her eyes tightly when they had left the ground, tightening her grip on Roldan's mane, she would not admit it to anyone, but she was slightly terrified about falling off and plummetting to the ground. And this thought made it difficult to relax.

Unfortunately, the act of closing her eyes, not only made everything slightly worse, but it added to the odd sensation of weightlessness. She could also feel the wind, cooler air, against her face. Taking a deep breath, Celeste tried not to think about what was below, opening one eye, she gasped at what she saw below, feeling dizzy, and quickly shut her eyes tightly.

Hearing Roldan say something, actually feeling him talk to her, his voice deep and gravelly and rumbling underneath her, Celeste nodded in answer, forgetting he couldn't see her, her mouth dry as she tried to act brave, opening one eye again, and then another, her knuckles white, the fear in her throat as she looked down and gasped again. Celeste then tightened her hold, her thighs even more. "We are really, uh, high, no?" she asked uneasily, forcing herself to not panic and try to trust Roldan wouldn't let her fall.

Roldan huffed a bit, realizing that he had taken things too fast. Again. "Yeah," he said almost sheepishly. "We're up pretty high. I'm really sorry. Did you want to go lower? Get used to... being in the air first?"

Roldan started to descend a bit, and simultaneously began heating himself up slightly. Not enough to hurt Celeste by any means, but enough to offset the cost from the air around them. He wanted her to be comfortable, at least.

Celeste nodded vigorously at his suggestion, "Yes, could we?" she asked gratefully, still uneasily, but feeling a little less afraid now that he had offered to go lower, thinking that if she fell she might not die.

Feeling the air around them becoming somewhat warmer, more comfortable, Celeste felt herself relaxing, her grip on his mane relaxing, the blood flowing back to her knuckles. "Thank you, Roldan," Celeste said as they descended to a distance she actually felt comfortable with.

Now that he could feel Celeste relax, Roldan felt confident to actually fly around. "Don't let go alright? I'm gonna take you around the clearing a couple of times. There'll be some tilt when I make a turn, so be aware. But don't worry, I won't let you fall."

True to his word, Roldan started flying in a wide arc around the clearing. He tilted some, bit he kept them mostly upright so that Celeste couldn't fall off. He loved flying. It was one of his favorite things to do. So this was nice. Glancing back at her, he asked, "How are you doing back there? Having more fun now?"
