"Oh man, meeting your sister is going to be a BLAST! Why didn't you tell us about her earlier?!"
Joseph was basically vibrating as he swayed on his heels, too hyper to sit down. Just looking at him made Ria and Lee tired and they both sighed almost at the same time. Lee was wrapped in his safety blanket he carried around, and Ria had gotten him some noise-cancelling ear muffs that the man now cherished and used almost all the time.
"Because it wasn't relevant. But you get to meet her, and her regalia, now."
Ria wasn't sure yet, if she regretted entering this tournament and gaining these two regalis to be her partners. Ria very much liked the knowledge tapping power Lee had bestowed upon him, as it was quite practical, but she often preferred Joseph's company to his inspiration granting power. The two balanced each other quite well, since Joseph often liked to look out for Lee, who was very withdrawn but seemed to like Joseph.
All three of them were waiting for Jii by a bench near Oceania park. Lee was sitting but Ria and Joseph were standing. Ria had her hair in a loose braid and was wearing a pink shirt, which was rare for her. Usually she preferred to wear sports clothes, but Ria was unexpectedly fond of this piece of clothing, most probably because she had bought it with Ain.
Just thinking about explaining Ain to Jii at some point made Ria's head hurt.
Rua checked the time from her phone and looked around, waiting for Jii to arrive. They had agreed to meet here, to spend some time together and do a challenge since the both of them were in the tournament. And Ria wanted to see the regalia her sister was pacted with.

Jii had been planning to just sprint to the park to beat her sister there initially, but even though her Regalis was fast, she was on another level entirely. Because of this, she got there a few minutes after Ria, with Ana close behind her. She'd taken a liking to her partner for the tournament more than a little, and even though she didn't yet realize it herself, the early sparks of infatuation were starting to crackle.

Ana was very much a physically active person, and even though Jii wasn't quite so competitive, she found her drive very admirable. Additionally, she was very pretty on a physical level, which of course the pixan had noticed. "Hey, Ria! Sorry I'm late. How are you?~" In general, Jii seemed to be happier than she had been lately, full of energy and feeling ready for anything.

Ria heard Jii and her regalis arrive before she turned her head to the direction they came from. Ria would recognize the sound of those steps anywhere. She hopped off the bench, making Lee tense up and Joseph grin, they both knew why Ria had stood up. And before long Jii ran over with her regalis, and Ria smiled. Both Joseph and Lee looked at her with wide eyes, surprised at her smile.
"I'm well, thank you. And I can see without even asking that you're well too."
Ria pulled Jii in a quick hug, before observing her regalis more closely. She seemed athletic like Jii, which made them a rather good match.
"You must be Jii's regalis. Good day."
Ria nodded at the girl, and then gestured to Joseph and Lee.
"These are my regalia, Lee and-"
"Joseph! I'm Joseph, for now at least! Oh man, it's such a HUGE pleasure to meet you, you have no idea!"
Joseph bursted over and went right on and shook Jii's hand, with a wide friendly smile on his face.
"I must say, you seem like such a cheerful young lady, how on earth os a grump like Ria your sister? Ouch!"
Joseph exclaimed when Ria stepped on his foot and made him step aside, glaring at him. On the side Lee sighed and squeezed his safety blanket.

Jii gave a breathy laugh and hugged Ria back, opting not to mention that it was a bit tight and just going with it. Her sister was fairly busy with work and school combined, so she hadn't seen her as frequently as she liked, especially after her curse ended. "Yeah, for sure. I'm great!"

Her regalis stepped forward and gave a wave to the group collectively, introducing herself as Ana. Jii couldn't even hold back her laughter for a second as Joseph's goofy enthusiasm, and the way Ria reprimanded him made her think immediately of home. "Well, I wouldn't really say Ria is a grump. She's, uhh...firm." Jii quirked a brow at her sister, ears flattening a little and gauging her reaction to that assessment with a tiny smirk. "Anyway, I guess we should get started. Any idea what we should do?"

"Jii, I know what I am, and it can be descrined both as a grump and firm. Pleasure, Ana."
Ria sent a nod to Jii's regalis, and Joseph repeated his enthusiastic greeting on Ana as well. Lee just sat on his bench, wrapped in his blanket, but managed to weakly nod at Jii and Ana.
"As for what we should do, I have no plan. I mainly came here to see you, since we haven't had many chances to see each other lately. I regret that."
Ria smiled a small gentle smile at Jii. She considered, again, telling Jii about Ain. But she decided to do that after their challenge.
"I know you would beat me in most races, and when it comes to strength it's your complete defeat. But I see us doing something physical, although I cannot see what kind of physical activity we are at equal odds in."

The younger of the sisters grinned again at Ria's reaction to her attempt at softening Joseph's description, and she just shrugged in response. "Well, you said it, not me." Her eyes found their way to Lee, and she frowned gently, rubbing her arm. She wanted to ask if he was okay, but she could tell he was anxious and didn't want to worsen that.

Jii smiled back at Ria when she talked about not being able to see her much, and she hugged her again, a little tighter. "It's okay. I know you're busy. We'll just have to make more of an effort to work with each other from now on." She listened to Ria's explanation of the issues they would run into with physical competition, something she had realized as well. "Hm...that's hard. I mean, I feel like we're pretty even in terms of accuracy? Like hitting a a target."

Ria hummed in thought at Jii's proposition about hitting a target, that sounded like a reasonable challenge.
"I suppose so. Hitting a target sounds fair. As for the targets..."
Ria looked around, and saw two trash cans side by side some ways ahead on the trail. She pointed at them, and the trash that was littered at their base.
"We van use those as goals, and the trash as projectiles. It also adds extra challenge that we have to choose the most suitable piece of trash for throwing. And we will be cleaning the environment."

Jii quirked a brow at Ria's suggestion for a contest; it seemed fair enough. She smiled and nodded, turning to Ana to make sure it was fine, to which she gave a thumbs up. "Alright then, sounds good! Hold on, one sec." She dug in her backpack for a moment and grabbed a ruler, then moved over about twenty feet in front of the cans and laid it down.

"Okay! So, we'll use this as a point to throw from. Let's say...what, first to seven pieces in her respective can? I'll take the one on the left." Jii was obviously excited to get on with the challenge; she wasn't necessarily a competitive person in general but getting in rivalries with her sisters was always fun.

Jii took care of markimg the place they would throw from, and Ria moved over to the trash cans and picked up two piecesmof trash that were both the same, which was empty soda can. Their starting projectiles should be of equal size and weight. Ria brought the cans over, and she also had a small smile on her face. She was, surprisingly, looking forward to this and trying to beat Jii on an equal ground. Joseph sat by Lee on the bench and casually wrapped an arm around his shoulder, that always calmed Lee down.

"Those rules sound acceptable. Here you go."
Ria gave the other can to Jii and took a position behind the ruler, on the right side. Ria tested the can, how it felt and how much it weighed, before looking at Jii and waiting for her to be ready before raising her arm for a throw.
"Alright then, first throw. Ready, set, go!"
Ria threw her can at the word go, and though it hit the edge of the trash can with a loud clatter it stumbled in.

Needless to say, due to Jii's empathy working how it did, her sister's enthusiasm and happiness with this activity stacked itself right on top of that which she was already feeling, so she was absolutely ready to go when Ria brought the can back over, smiling wide and nodding. "Yeah, I'm ready. This is great!" She took it, moving a bit to the left and squaring her feet up with the ruler.

Jii took a slow, deep breath in and out as she waited for Ria to tell them to throw, her arm moving in synchronization with Ria's as she threw. She bit her lip after the can left her hand; it bounced off the rim similarly to Ria's throw and did a little spin flip into the can. "Ha! Guess we both kind of flubbed that one. Alright, cool, let's keep going!" She ran over to pick up more trash, just a little blue blur before coming back a couple seconds later with a crumpled ball of foil.
