"I guess..." She closed her eyes again before the wind deposited more sand into her eye ducts. She just didn't like it; crazy hands into eyes, and she didn't like crying anyways, no matter if it was just a piece sand particle in the eyes.

"Hmm, you seem to know a lot about being a vampire, you must be pretty smart," Aoi commented.

"It's true. Vampires are just a victim of their own hunger."

She started to stare out into the ocean again. "So, there are many kinds of vampires, some that have lost control and just eat-um, drink, whatevers, right?

"So it's some kind of obsession, isn't it, for some vampires. I bet there's quite a few in SA. Guess you can never tell."

Percy chuckled not bothering to tell his age to the girl, he just smirked.
"I am one so I should know... " He said in a I should know anyway manner, he happened to be a know it all in his mind seeing he lived so long.

"It's true. Vampires are just a victim of their own hunger."

"That's not exactly true depending on the vampire, I for one only drink when necessary and I only drink from people I hate or deserve to be drunk from for being stupid. Of course I don't kill them, but some vampires don't drink when they should drink and therefore get blood lust where you go into a blood crazy mode. Then there are some vampires who are just sick and like to kill or scare and love the taste of love. Which I think is gross, and I rather not drink it but when I do I'm not a sloppy pig like some I've seen. Yeah there's a good amount at SA, some which are good, some bad, some obsessed and some you never know..." He said thinking about a few weird acting vampires.

The coastline rolled in rather quickly and moistened her hands with the spray. She wiped them onto her way too big sweater, and held her face in boredom.

"The ocean, it's nice. Y'know, SA's a pretty big school to have snow and a beachside, isn't it?" Where she came from, it didn't snow, but there was a beach, where she hardly went. Sand was nice too, as long as it didn't have any broken glass fragments lying around. Why people liked littering in the sea with glass, or glass bottles, she never understood.

She sighed, letting her thoughts flow away with the waves. This place actually was peaceful if she let it be. A thought occured in her mind, making her snap her eyes open, and ask, "Hey, are there fun places to go to in SA? I told my mother I wouldn't get into trouble, but it doesn't seem easy to do anything that'd be noticable in the Academy grounds, or is there? I haven't been here long."

"I guess..." Percy said with a shrug, he never really cared about the size of the school. In fact he wasn't even a student, he stayed off grounds because he didn't fit in well with the on campus people. He guessed it was because of his bluntness when it came to certain things. He also seemed like a know it all so not many did like him.

He noticed how big her sweater was and couldn't help but wonder why she was wearing such a big sweater for such a little girl. He didn't care much about glass seeing he had to wear full clothing in the sunlight so there was no use even thinking of swiming or even setting foot on the sand barefoot.

"Hey, are there fun places to go to in SA? I told my mother I wouldn't et into trouble, but it doesn't seem easy to do anything that'd be noticable in the Academy grounds, or is there? I haven't been here long."

He shrugged again, "I don't know maybe the boy knows, I don't really know much of SA's ground's besides a few things. Of course they must have something to do or they'd most likely have chaos."

"Oh, right, they wouldn't."

'I wonder how many other people like getting into trouble. They would know.'

She shrugged to herself. Okay, now she was getting bored again, she thought, poking the sand with a piece of driftwood she found nearby. And then drawing a circle with a happy face in it. Sighing and pocketing the stick into her bag, she yawned.

From far away, ships had docked, in some places farther than the coastline. "Where do the boats go? You probably watch them, or at least hear something about them?"

"Well... some people say they go to port on islands, others head out farther to the vastness of the sea. I think that common sense tells the people duh! They port where they're headed, but truthfully not all do. Many make trips on the way and often go many places in route to stock up on supplies. Pretty much a boat goes wherever a wise sailor tells it to go." He said throwing a handful of sand her way playfully.

He seemed to be feeling a tiny bit better today, it was odd that this immature girl dared to want to speak with him. But this made him a bit happier that she didn't treat him lesser or something, mainly because he was short, 400 years old and usually treated 14. So this was a bit of a blessing for him to be treated with more kindness, but he wasn't the happiest that he couldn't hang out with old looking people and feel this same way.

"Ah, me gets, me gets!" she said, adding more emphasis on the last word because the sand hit her unexpectedly. "Ai! Sand fight!" she roared before running around, and kick up some sand at him, in some sort of childish revenge. She giggled loudly.

After some time, she became a little sane again. She was having quite a bit more fun than normal, so her hyperness had faded.

"I wonder why it never snows on the beachside... It's kinda weird."

He chuckled shaking his head... "Your a odd one Missy, but not dull no sir." He said with a light smile at the girl, he couldn't help but wish he wasn't doomed to spend all eternity alone.

He chuckled, she was rather joyous of a girl, her hyperness helped ease his pain a little. When she calmed down he wondered if he'd ever find someone that he could love without being looked at as a young person or that wouldn't mind being young forever with him.

He chuckled at her question, "It's because the sand gets really hot because of the sun in the summer and since it absorbs heat so well the winter sun is enough to keep it snowless."

"Wow, you really have a way with words," she commented, eyes sparkling with admiration. In truth, her sentence structure was horrible and it was nice to say stuff cool once in a while.

Her head bobbed in understanding. "So that's why..."

She sat upon her disturbed seat of sand again, and stared out into the ocean. The messy wind had subsided, and she guessed it was because it was annoyed at her hyperness. As if on cue, the wind blew more sand into her face, and she wiped it out, frustrated, with her very dirty sleeve of a sweater.

"Wow, you really have a way with words,"

He never really knew he had, he wondered if it was because she thought he was only 14 when really he was 400. He just took it as a compliment anyway.

"So that's why..."

"Yes, that's why. Though it can snow on the beach if it's cloudy enough and cold enough that the sand can't retain heat, but truly it usually retains enough so it's fine." He said looking at the beach, he sighed wondering if there was a way he could become human again.

He saw the wind blow sand in her eyes, he was glad she wasn't too big of a complainer or he'd probably lose his top. He looked at the sea and wondered what it was like to go swimming without having to worry about the sun burning your skin. He was so sensitive to the sun that even the winter sun bothered him. He guessed he got a different kind of vampire when he got bit. He hated the inability to be able to go out in the sun without a cloak so he wouldn't get burnt.
