Aeron is an individual who looks far more intimidating than he actually is. He stands just over seven feet tall with broad shoulders and a powerful build hidden under dark clothes. His skin is dark with a gray tint, but it isn’t normally seen. His face is perpetually hidden behind a helm of matte black steel, similar to a knight’s helmet but slightly more stylized. His eyes are visible from behind the visor as a bright white glow. Aeron’s voice is louder than a normal person’s with an unnaturally deep, resonating quality; as if he is addressing a crowded cathedral.

Far removed from his appearance, Aeron is a rather laid back and kind individual. He tends to behave a lot like a chilled out father or uncle figure with lame jokes. He’s insanely casual with his past as a dark lord, treating his decades’ long conquest of another world much the way someone might talk about a long running Dungeons & Dragons game. He isn’t above jokingly falling back into old habits for harmless pranks or to make a point about someone else’s shitty behavior. At work he is both polite and professional, eschewing the joking mannerisms unless he thinks that it would be the proper course of action. He tries to be a good ear to listen to others’ problems. He has a soft spot both for plucky hero types and brooding villain types. He enjoys gardening. And, if need be, he is fully capable of summoning the willpower and focus that earned him the fear and respect he held in the other world.

Active
Epilogue, the Storyender’s Blade
Aeron’s personal weapon from his time in the other world, Epilogue is a wicked looking serrated greatsword. It can be summoned to his hand at any time. The sword is indestructible and eternally sharp. It harms others as though they were normal humans and those killed by it will not resurrect or reincarnate.

The Conqueror’s Arc
Aeron commands black lightning that he can fire from his fingertips. It is twice as destructive as normal lightning. It takes roughly ten seconds to charge up a blast of the lightning.

Breath of Life
Once per day, when Aeron is below 10% of his hit point maximum, he can restore 25% of his total hit points instantly.

Passive
Mastermind
Aeron's mind is attuned in such a way that he can analyze situations much more quickly and efficiently than a normal person. While he doesn't have mystical knowledge of things he shouldn't, he can make alarmingly accurate guesses when he sees something. This can occasionally lead to instances where he even guesses what another person will say before they say it.

Level Capped
Aeron is an age-locked immortal. He is immune to diseases and toxins. He is physically superior to a normal human of his physique by a factor of two.

Hit Points
Damage that Aeron takes does not map to specific injuries. Instead, the damage counts towards his “hit point total” and leaves him more and more fatigued as he takes damage. Being level capped, his hit points are high enough that a building being collapsed on top of him would only take him down about halfway. If he falls to zero hit points, he will fall into critical condition and need a full week to recover. At any point during this week, if he takes any more damage he will die.

Constant Restoration
Aeron restores one percent of his hit point total every two minutes passively.

Lord of Darkness
Those whose hearts are tainted with evil and selfishness naturally see Aeron as a potential master. They tend to defer to his wisdom more than they might normally and show him respect and fear that they might otherwise be incapable or unwilling to grant.

Weakness
Heroic Nemesis
Those who have primarily pure hearts and good intentions are able to cause significantly more damage to Aeron than someone else might. A strike from such a person, regardless of their overall strength, will do ten times the damage that they would normally be able to accomplish.

Aeron Douglas was a college dropout in the middle 1990’s in the United States. He had nothing to look forward to until he ended up tripping through a rift between worlds. Once there, he was declared to be one of the “legendary heroes” but quickly found that such a title was actually more trouble than it was worth. The pressure eventually made him snap and he began a decades’ long campaign of conquest, raising armies and crushing all before him until he was the unchallenged ruler of the world. More “legendary heroes” were summoned into the world over what seemed to be centuries, but he was always able to defeat them. With the last batch however, something had changed. Aeron was bored. He had grown tired of what he had become and conspired a plan. He let these new heroes ‘defeat’ him and used the energy they radiated to return to his home. Earth.

The reports of a “cosplayer” showing up on public transit weren’t much to see for the average person. But scouts took notice and went to collect him before he could cause too much trouble. He was educated on the nature of the island and went back to college with his newfound skill and drive. He became a therapist, seeing it as a way to push away from the skills he had cultivated without actively leaving them behind.

He has an office downtown and a house with a garden in the backyard. He makes a decent living as a therapist.
