・・ APPEARANCE ・・
To most people, Adrien only looks like a ghost fire that floats around a little girl 24/7. For those who are more in tune with spirits like Adeloise herself, they can see that Adrien is a beautiful young man, no younger than 19 years old but no older than 22. He looks very sweet and friendly, with a little mysterious air to him, but nothing too off-putting. At least that's what Adeloise tells everyone. Should one see any splash of color on him, his hair would be seen as blonde and he has pretty blue eyes to match his golden smile. His full appearance shows him in semi-casual clothes — nothing more than pale-colored dress shirts and dark slacks, while his shoulder-length hair is neatly tied behind his head. If you look closely enough, you'll find an old scar around his neck.
・・ PERSONALITY ・・
Adrien is sweet, charming, and a little bit playful. He'd consider himself to be good with kids if anyone asked him but when asked if he ever had kids in his life, he'd smile wistfully before saying he doesn't recall anything about it.
He seems rather childish at times, finding it funny to tease either Adeloise or Stella (though mostly the latter) in the strangest situations. Even then, he knows when to set things aside. He almost never possesses Adeloise but he chooses the times when Adeloise seems to be at loss. Despite having been dead for nearly two centuries, his intelligence and quick wit carried over well to his current state that when his host starts having trouble with school, he's the one she turns to.
Adeloise admits to knowing how violent he is, having witnessed him once in an abandoned hotel before he joined her 'family'. His rage is strong enough to upturn almost every furniture in a room, leave scratches onto wood and break glass. She's never seen him angry any other time.
Adrien usually avoids questions about his life, either through diverting the topic or simply replying he doesn't remember anything that makes enough sense. To a more attentive person, it can be assumed that he actually knows something that he keeps to himself.

・・ SPECIES ABILITIES ・・
Poltergeist Traits
Adrien is a ghost, thus he has the abilities of being one. He can be considered a poltergeist, which are supernatural entities known to cause physical disturbances, such as loud noises and objects being moved or destroyed.
Incorporeal Body — His form is not quite solid, which allows him to move freely without trouble, going as to passing through walls and solid objects as he pleases. Highly dense materials like lead can give him some difficulty in passing through; wards can keep him away and salt circles make much more effective barricades walls for him.
Manifestations — His default form cannot be seen or touched but there are a few that can feel him as a cold chill. He can choose to make himself visible by a single person, or many at a time but he remains intangible. His ghost fire is of the same nature and is actually more of a beacon of his position rather than an alternate form. He does have the option of making his body solid, but it takes quite a lot of energy to do so. He is only capable of doing this at certain locations (leylines), certain times of the day (or year), and other natural conditions (weather).
Telekinesis — One way for him to interact with the material world when without a medium is telekinesis. He is strong enough to be able to move objects around him with only thought. It takes some amount of energy as manifesting his form into the world of the living but he is capable of these things even without the need for external factors.

・・ BIOGRAPHY ・・
Whenever Adeloise (or Stella) turn to ask Adrien what his life was like, he almost always just shrugs, saying he hasn't figured it out. He always says he doesn't remember anything, going as far as admitting Adrien is not even his real name at all and that he only fancied the name. He doesn't talk about any recollections of his life and if he does, he always tells them to be rather abstract which makes zero sense to a 12-year-old trying to figure out the life of a long-dead pretty boy.
Adrien had a decent family background, a hard-working father, a loving mother and an adorable younger sister. Their financial standing was not the best, but for a family of four, it was just enough for them. He was intelligent, talented, and beautiful. Adrien had a promising life ahead of him.
But Fate had other plans. To say Adrien's life made a turn for the worst when he was 15 was only the beginning of it all. After his father had lost his job, his mother fell gravely ill. He and his 13-year-old sister went to find work, hoping to find something to help the family. There was no such luck and eventually, they fell heavily into debt trying to nurse back their mother's health. Paying it back was one thing, but they had to work for the family they owed to be able to do so. Fortunately, their employer turned out to be a kind, warm-hearted, and jolly man, and he cared for the two children as more than just servants. Things seemed to look up.
The younger brother of their employer was equally kind to them and most especially chummy with him, eventually becoming close friends over the first few months--he was a man a good 8 or 9 years older than him, and Adrien couldn't fathom why he felt uncomfortable around him at first. They spent their time joking around, when Adrien had the time to spare--and he had much since the young noble had chosen him to be his attendant. He brought Adrien with him when he went for strolls out the city, off to theater and various gatherings. The man supported him in his pursuit of making a career as an artist too. Adrien came to trust the man like he would an older brother despite his initial misgivings but Adrien would regret ignoring the warning signs for the rest of his afterlife.
It started with only mild gestures--gestures Adrien could have simply brushed off as eccentricity and playfulness but it quickly devolved to something less tasteful. He would have preferred to forget everything that happened in that manor house. Adrien began to dread being left alone with the man, feeling discomfort in the unwanted attention. He constantly checked up on his sister, thankful that she was having it better than he was. It took a while longer, but he had to keep everything together for the family. As soon as they had served their two years due of service and paid all of their debt, Adrien quit, taking his sister with him. He apologized to the lord of the house for their departure, but he refused to be in the same place as the man who defiled him.
He asked his father that he leaves the city, managing to convince him that he might have better luck with work. He tried to build himself up again, a fresh start to pursuing his dream to become an artist. For Adrien, it was a very slow process of recovery. He spent the rest of his nights sleepless from depression and anxiety. His sleep would be rudely disturbed by nightmares. He couldn't bear to tell anyone, not if he was going to be ridiculed for it. He tried a lot of things to be able to cope, to find a sense of control back into his life. He drowned himself in his work and, did other things to make him feel normal.
He came to meet a merchant's daughter when they came to commission him for his work. She was kind, and cheerful--innocent if that was the word for it. Adrien found himself charmed by her. They met only when her father chose to see him for his work, catching shy glances of each other when they could. Once his job was done, he'd though that was the last he's see of her but the girl began to meet him in secret without her father's knowledge. They ran away together, married in secret and lived happily on their own three cities away.
At least for about two years or so, which was when the magic began to dwindle. Their happily ever after started falling apart, broken by constant fighting. His wife often went out and returned in the late evenings, telling her husband she was only with her friends. Adrien was smarter than that and found out his wife had been cheating. He was upset, angry, and very frustrated. He confronted his wife when she got home one night which led into another argument. He'd told himself it was an accident but he never did speak of what happened that night. Reports came out days later saying that his wife and her lover disappeared within the week.
Adrien left town again and returned to his family, broken and depressed. He continued his work back in his hometown, and helped his father with their growing business. He avoided the manor house that remained standing at the edge of their city. He still kept to himself, tried to keep his life normal in spite of everything. His father introduced him to daughters of his business partners. Most of them never worked out. It was either he turned away from them, or they disappeared. Some of them had notes of running away, and some leaving not a single trace.
It was two years after his return when the string of disappearances finally led back to Adrien. He was found guilty of multiple accounts of murder, convicted without trial and sentenced to death for his crimes.
