Nyota smudged out some small spots of blue and now it looked like a blue canvas with some light blue spots dotting the canvas like stars. One larger spot appeared to be in a vaguely crescent shape though.
"Ah, thanks James. Knew I could depend on you." thanked Nyota as she tossed the now blue rag aside and nabbed the hairdryer away from James.
Nyota instinctively went to pressed the bottom but then realized that hair dryer wasn't plugged in. The star girl let out a grunt, plugged in the hairdryer, then started to dried the paint. It was bit awkward for her as the cord was just barely long enough for the hairdryer to reach but somehow she managed. Nyota spent the next 20 minutes drying the blue paint until at last it was dry enough to her satisfaction. Nyota then fills in the lighter blue spots with a bright cadmium yellow. She takes a moment to step back, studying the picture before she resumed with painting. This time she takes a dark brown and paints an oval in the center over the dark blue and another circular splotch in the bottom left corner of the canvas, also painting over the dried dark blue paint there.
As the paint dries, Nyota takes the time to mix her ultramarine blue with a bit titanium white in order to get a slightly lightly shade of blue. Once she has her mixture ready, she applies the lighter blue in radiating patterns and swirls that seem to be emitted from the birght yellow and dark brown spots of paint on the canvas. Once she has has swirls all in place, she layered each of them with progressively lighter and lighter shades of blue. To the swirls closest to the yellow dots, Nyota adds blends of yellow, orange and green to make these "lights" seem even more dynamic. Aside from the swirling almost Van Gogh like night time background she has got going on, there is nothing of the sunflowers she has planned aside from dark brown oval and circle that make up the central part of the sunflower.
She had seemed to have been working on this for nearly an hour when she suddenly remember James and turned to look at him, seeing how he was enjoyed himself. Plus she was filling a bit hungry too.
"You alright back there?" she asked as she set the brushes and walks over to the pizza box, stealing another slice with her.
Nyota totally had the painter look to her, her apron has several blue and yellow stains her arms have bits of dried paint caked onto her. Nyota didn't seem to care though, even if the blue smudge on her left cheek was perhaps a bit distracting to look at.
