Kamillia skateboarded through the streets of Manta Carlos. Some people gave her odd looks, almost like they never seen someone riding a skateboard. Granted, this was a special island, so maybe people rarely used such things to get around. Kam’s skateboard was her life; she would be lost without it, not only would she not be able to get around but she wouldn’t have anything to get her out of her apartment except for school.
Kamillia found herself at the skate park on the outskirts of town. It was an outdoor skate park, she had seen bikers and skaters around the park, but mostly there were skateboarders. Graffiti lined carved cement where ramps were laid out across the park. It was a normal every day skate park, some of the ramps were bigger than usual. Kam figured this out watching youtube videos; she figured the bigger ramps were placed here because of the magical abilities the town’s people had which they could use to stop themselves from getting too badly injured.
The dragon grinned as she placed her skateboard on the edge of the bowl which was in the center of the skate park. Kamillia placed her weight on the edge of the skateboard, letting herself drop over the edge, rolling down into the bowl of the skate park. However, she was not met with the smooth glide to the bottom, but rather a dull pain in her side as someone else collided into her. The collide pushed her off her balance and skateboard, sending her reeling sideways landing on the rough cement hands on the ground keeping her face from hitting the ground. The breath was knocked out of her lungs, and she was staggered for a second. Kamillia looked at the person who might have bumped into her, “Hey! Can’t you watch where you’re going?” She growled as she sat up straight, rubbing her hip.
