The fog demon crept up to the door and looked at the key in their hand. Opening the lock was simple enough with a key... but instead they snickered to themself and poofed into water vapor, slipping in though the gap below the door instead. Old habits were hard to break.
Inside this... not-house-but-house things were familiar yet confusing. They'd seen the various appliances and technology over the past many days of course but not in a space that was supposedly theirs. Tril slumped the small duffel bag that was (almost) all their worldly possessions onto the floor in the middle of the room and let out an annoyed hiss at the open blinds. Even with sunglasses on the sunlight streaming in gave them headaches. Tril rushed over and pulled the stringy thing down- that wa show the old lady had closed the window covers before, yes? Fortunately it was and the blinds dropped, casing beautiful darkness through the room.
The mischievous demon though was nowhere near done poking around. They crept over to a row of knobs and buttons on the wall. It was impossible to resist. They suddenly poked buttons, flipped switches and turned a knob or two all the way down the line as various lights and a fan turned on and off. There was a rattling from a box shape above the window as it... did something. Tril didn't know they'd found the control for the air conditioning unit and set the temperature fairly cold.
What a sight the grey demon with messy white hair and a full set of well broken in leather armor was for whomever was their new roommate.
