As he rowed the boat towards the rock, he pushed her in lazily. It didn't take much for the eighteen year old to do so, but she had fallen in with her knees scraping against the metal boat side. "What a shame. It isn't like I almost killed you though. Now swim to the rock, oh, and don't let the fish bite ya either." She of course sobbed, but arose from the water, and walked sulkingly towards the rock.

Rowing lazily, he approached the shore. "Oi...so...tired. Mind if we can get back to where we were, I was so enjoying most of my sleep." Except for those names! Why Abigail and Vladamire, I mean really, Vladamire.

She put her hands to her head, her head was pounding. She picked up on people a half a mile away, her hearing going beserk. She put her hands to her temples it hurt so much, she guessed it was from getting up too fast after that loss of oxygen earlier and her tired body. Her mind couldn't focus, she tried to clear her head but all that was coming was sounds all blending together. She heard some of Valentine's words and got up slowly only to have the sounds make her dizzy.

She looked at the sand trying to hear just one thing and block all else out.

He saw her start to swoon and immediately darted for her. He didn't want to sweep her off her feet, wellm not until a certain time. He merely set her down, resting her upon him. He needed Percy here and now. "Percy..." He whispered, hoping he was nearby.

He needed speed and tons of it. Valentine merelycovered her hands with his and he knew he couldn't do anything about the noise.

A thought cam eto mind though. He had remembered as a child sticking the glass cups into his ears and hearing a muffled sound. The bag was only good for ear plug like things.

Valentien grimaced as he shoved her hands out of the way to quickly put the earplugs in. "Percy!" He hoarsely spoke aloud.

Percy dropped from a nearby tree, "You know it's a good thing I heard the racket with the kids. We need to get her to the dorms or to her small shack, she need silence and rest." Percy said crossing the river with a super speed run not looking weird at all doing it either. He looked at Valentine knowing he was weak. "I'll carry her." He said putting his hands on her waist he put her on his shoulder, a odd sight to see a 14 year old body carry a 17 year old girl's body with no sweat.

"So where will it be Valentine? Dorms or her shack?"

"The shack." He said, knowing that the afterparty would wake her. That would be intensely ugly. "Just leave me here." He winked, "I'll live." Valentine sighed, not sorry about what he said, but for teh fact that it had to end up like this.

"See ya Percy, and good luck. Oh, should I keep the earplugs inside?" He asked, still slouched in the boat.

"Valentine, I highly doubt she'd want to leave you behind. She wouldn't mind you being there and I could stay with you both incase anything arises. Besides, I don't want to have to hear her talking about you when she wakes up." He said with a chuckle, he stood there waiting for Valentine to follow.

The glass earplugs had helped somewhat, it did block all the talking but it had the hum of glass in it. It didn't hurt her as much though, she wanted the night to end happily. She didn't want him to go but she couldn't hear what they were talking about. She only knew that at least she wasn't losing her mind.

"Alright, I guess I will go for your sake Percy, but it will be some time before we get there all the way." Valentine said smiling. It then hit him, Was he there when I was struggling to get up that vine. I was so close to death and yet he stood there? No, he only heard the children that is all. Right? When he checked the children were at shore and we were o the tree.

Percy had been farther away in fact he litterly had heard just the children. He had been deep in thought walking along the lake he was about two miles away when he was struggling on the rope to save Amelia and his life. Percy had heard something and ran in super speed then saw the children running from the scene and overheard him and Amelia and put it all together.

He looked at the ground. "You know, I'd do anything to have what you and Amelia have. I saw you both after the inciddent talking on the shore, the kids running away without any after effect to them bothered me. I'm sorry I couldn't help sooner but it was only after that I put it all together." He thought about how he wished he had a date for the dance.

They were getting away from the noise getting deeper into the woods, the shack wasn't exactly a shack. It was a abandoned old cabin in the woods, it was rather homely looking. It wasn't too far away but it wasn't a minute away either since it was a normal pace. Amelia started to feel better the farther she got away. Amelia managed to say something, "Valentine... if we do have kids after we're married, let's discipline them so they never turn into that brat." She still had the earplugs in but since the sound was drowned out she was feeling better.

HE smiled, Oh, if they ever had kids, one that would be the greatest thing in the world to him, and two if they had kids, he would be like his parents to him, love and kind, yet strict. Valentine sighed. His eyes looked to the cabin. It seemed homey enough to him.

The eighteen year old knew that it was a vain comforting attempt but, "Percy, in time either you will be rescued from your vampiric state or there will be someone that will appreciate you for who you are." When he meant rescued, he knew that it would be for the better if Percy had no powers, but yet lived a "normal" life. He would be good as an archaeologist.

"I know, but the thing is how long? I mean... I look at people who have only waited 18-30 years and I say when will I find the one?" Percy said with a sigh, "It's like if you had to wait 302 or more years to meet Amelia." He said as they approched the cabin, it had been nicknamed the shack because of the previous owners before Amelia.

Percy walked towards a small path leading to the house. He looked at Amelia then to Valentine, "You know, you two have to be the cutest couple." He said with a light chuckle, Amelia had realized Percy had never seen her wear something light blue. Percy also hadn't seen Valentine dressed up a bit before either.
