It had been a little while since the day when Camille came in for his first massage with Kaliyan. They had agreed to figure out when they could meet up again to have coffee since Kal owed it to Cam. Not that it was really the main reason Kal was going. He liked spending time with Cam. It took time for the goofy special order bandaids to come in and though Kal was pretty sure they weren't going to be enough to embarrass Cam it would still be funny.

Then there was the party that got broken up far too soon for them to really have fun and finally Kal happened to be hanging out in the community center with Cam and realized he had the next day off. It had been the perfect opportunity to set this up. So there he was, standing outside The Forbidden Zone. The most edgy of all the coffee shops on the island. He checked his pockets to make sure the bandaids were there and then looked at his phone. He had been worried about being late and rushed his way on over but in the end he had actually been early. It was just meeting a friend for coffee and probably a bunch of jokes. Why did he feel so nervous and excited?

Cam would've probably been skipping if it wasn't so hard with his prosthetic. He was that cheery today, although Cam was almost always cheery. But today was special. Well, it shouldn't have been that special but Cam felt it was special. He wished it could've been special but it wasn't special so maybe he should stop using the word special for now.
Cam laughed a bit at his own thoughts while he made his way towards The Forbidden Zone, the nightclub sounding edgy coffee shop. Or at least Kal had said the place was edgy but Cam had seen and been many kinds of edgy during his life so he wanted to judge the edginess factor himself. But on this island edgy could have any meaning so Cam was looking forward to it. That, and the bandaids.
What he was looking forward to most, however, was hanging out with Kal. For some reason Cam kept randomly remembering the brief conversation he had had with Shiro. Well, Cam knew perfectly well the reason he kept remembering it. But he pushed it out of his mind. For various reasons Cam shouldn't be thinking about it now.

Cam soon got the building in his sights, and bit later he saw Kal in front of it. Cam checked the time and chuckled, Kal was early. Somehow Cam was not surprised. He sneaked a quick look at his own outfit before going closer. Cam had had a battle with his closet before exiting the house, the kind that resulted in all his clothes being thrown all over the room. And that battle had resulted in him wearing black pants with different length pantlegs, the other being long enough to cover his prosthetic and the other ending just above the knee. But Cam succeeded in making it look fashionable rather than silly. He had a loose, fluttery t-shirt with wide neckline that reached his hips, coloured in all kinds of shades of blue and it matched Cam's eyes. Above that Cam wore a white vest that was open at the front, long at the back, reaching Cam's middle thighs, and fluttery in the same way as the t-shirt. Cam had tried to up his edginess by wearing a black leather choker with a skull pendant and same style leather bracelets. And if you looked closely you could see Cam was wearing some grey eyeshadow, and he had put on some black nail polish.

Cam already had a grin on his face when he breezed over to Kal, waving.
"Hi there~ Ready to get cut by some edginess? As you can see, I came prepared."
Cam snickered and showed off his black nails and leather jewelery a bit. He was rather proud of his choices, he had borrowed them from Dragomir. His hair he had actually gathered up on a loose bun, since it was hot and his hair was dark brown.
"Well then, don't waste any time. Show me what you got."
Cam meant the bandaids, naturally, and did a small "bring it" gesture with his hand, grinning happily all the while.

Kal had actually dressed up just a little bit too. Well in his own way. Covering his arms in all but the coldest weather was really uncomfortable so he stuck with a dark grey t-shirt but he did have on some black jeans and was wearing shoes instead of sandals. He didn't really know how to dress "edgy" so he had kind of given up.

Kal looked up as Cam approached and took in the interesting appearance the man had decided to take on. A part of him also took note that Cam had walked up in human form. From what he understood it was more comfortable for him to travel in his fox form so Cam had apparently chosen to be less comfortable to walk up looking like he was. Or maybe Kal was just thinking too much into it. Yeah, he was probably just overthinking things. That sort of seemed to be pretty common lately when things involved Cam.

"Hey Cam," Kal grinned, "you really went all-out for this didn't you? Glad our little bet wasn't about who could show up better dressed. Pretty sure I couldn't pull that off as well as you can." It really didn't look bad on Cam though. It seemed like he really could make just about anything look good. Suddenly Kal realized he had been staring a little too long and quickly glanced down. He was regretting not trying harder to dress up.

Shaking himself out of that though he reached into his pockets to pull out three different bandages. "So I cheated a little bit and got a couple different kinds. Originally I thought about something like this," he said as he showed off a bandaid with pink unicorns, rainbows and stars. "But I didn't think that was crazy enough so I picked out these too." He then showed off a bandaid that was designed to look exactly like.... a pickle.

Kal was pretty sure the pickle one was far funnier just because of the sheer randomness of it. Better still he had one final option that should blow the other two out of the water. He just wanted to give it a moment for Cam to think that was it.

With a huge grin Kal pretended to smack himself on the forehead. "Oh, no. I almost forgot that I had thrown those options out for the ultimate, most embarrassing image you could ever have on a bandaid. It'll make people's jaws drop and stomachs turn!" Kal put on his best performer's voice and tried to channel every bit of the showman that he never had been.

Finally with a grand flourish of extending his hands in front of him and a little bit of a bow he presented Cam with the final bandaid. Well actually it wasn't that brand of adhesive bandage but it was the same size, shape and function. Printed across the front of the bandage was a picture of Kal's face grinning. He couldn't help but burst into uncontrollable laughter at his stupid joke idea that had clearly taken way more time and planning than was reasonable for such a minor thing.

Camille did notice today Kal looked less like he was just about to go to the beach, since the guy was wearinb actual shoes and jeans. Cam liked Kal's normal appearance, it looked so natural on him, but he wasn't disappointed by this look either. Like most things about Kal it made Cam smile.
"Oh, you should never compete with me in dressing up. You could get seriously hurt, young man. I'm a professional, after all, so I'm allowed to look fabulous at all times. Besides, you look perfect just the way you are."
Cam grinned,

Cam stepped forward a bit when Kal pulled out the bandaids, looking excited beyond belief. He had no idea why he was so excited to wear silly bandaids, and how the joke had progressed this far. But Cam didn't care, he was having fun.
Cam gasped slightly at the pink bandaid with unicorns, rainbows and stars and smiled widely, awing.
"Oh, this is the cutest bandaid I have ever seen. Good job, now I can really show off my inner unicorn."
Then out came the pickle and Cam blinked and pfft'd, eventually cackling a bit. He observed the realistic looking pickle and kept chuckling and giggling at it.
"Hope you weren't in a pickle while choosing these. I can imagine how hard the decision was."
Oh yes he did. The most obvious oun, and Cam used it. No shame.

Cam watched with amusement as Kal made presenting the final bandaid a huge show, and it was effective in Cam making grand assumptions over what kind of bandaid it would be. His mind went from bandaids with embarrassing text to...NSFW shaped ones. Cam grinned and played along with Kal.
"Wow, that's amazing! Please do tell me what it is!"
Cam made his best impression of one of those people in informercals that were always unbelievably amazed at the product. And Cam had actually once been that person in an infomercial when he had been young, so the act wasn't all that unfamiliar to him.

When Kal finally gave the final bandaid to Cam he lifted a hand to his chest and had the feigned expression of shocked, pleassnt surprise.
"For me? Oh, you shouldn't have."
Then Cam looked at the bandaid itself, and the surprise on his face turned genuine. But after a short while he burst out laughing along with Kal and took the bandaid, observing it while giggling.
"Oh my gosh, this is the best one. I love it."
Cam calmed his giggling a bit to really look at the bandaid with Kal's grinning face on it. Somehow looking at Kal's grinning face made Cam feel extra happy. He looked at Kal, and felt even happier the real thing was here too.
"This bandaid will really make jaws drop and stomachs turn. With this on I will be irresistable."
Cam went ahead and attached the bandaid with Kal on it to his cheek and grinned in a similar way, tilting his head a bit.
"See? I need a stick to shoo away all the admirers."

Kal knew better than to really try to compete with the model at being fashionable. He definitely didn't have nearly enough bandages to cover the wounds that kind of battle would cause. To say nothing of the innocent bystanders that would have been hurt.

'...you look perfect just the way you are.'

Kal couldn't explain it but that little phrase made him feel reallygood. He really wasn't someone who really stressed about how he looked and it was nice for someone to compliment him on his looks but something about Cam being the one to say it felt better? More meaningful? Something like that.

They probably looked ridiculous to people coming in and out of The Forbidden Zone but Kal didn't mind. He was having a great time and was especially happy because Cam seemed to be so excited about their very goofy joke. The unicorn bandaid had gone just about exactly as Kal had expected. He halfway thought Cam might actually have a box of them at home. If he didn't... well Kal kept the boxes for all the bandaids so Cam could have more of any of them if he wanted.

He groaned and snickered at the terrible pun. The very pun he himself had so very nearly used when he was showing off the bandaid but had decided not to. No matter, there were other puns to be made. "As always your puns are dill-ightfully terrible and wonderful," he said with a smile and a happy glint in his eyes. Ok, so he hadn't really planned for that but he couldn't resist.

Kal's big show of presenting the last bandaid seemed to accomplish exactly what he wanted it to. With Cam playing along he nearly broke character but he held it together at least until Cam saw what the bandaid actually looked like. In between laughing he struggled to respond to Cam. "I really shouldn't have. In fact I would have used your face but I didn't have a good picture for it handy." Meanwhile Kal had managed to stop laughing and stood there grinning almost exactly like the picture. In the back of his mind a thought popped up that maybe they could just fix that problem at some point that day. Where that thought came from he didn't know.

It had been a gamble whether Cam would think the picture bandaid was great and funny or if he would think it was really weird. Fortunately he seemed to really like it and slapped it right on his face. Well that would certainly attract some attention. Especially since he was going to be sitting with the person whose face was on the bandaid. Without thinking of it Kal reached up to brush his thumb against one of the edges of the bandaid on Cam's cheek that hadn't fully stuck properly. Then he quickly took his hand back away as he realized what he was doing.

Kal gave a slightly nervous chuckle as he tried to take attention away from his weird actions. "Well I don't know about a stick but you do always travel with a leg you can shoe people with..." While telling this very terrible joke Kal stepped over to open the door for Cam so they could go inside. Maybe the coffee would get rid of this nervous energy. That's how coffee worked right? Of course it wouldn't but Kal was a little distracted for some reason.

Cam was basically oblivious to the surroundings at this point, and he happily attached the unicorn bandaid to his right hand, right above the bracelets. He lifted the hnd in front of himself, grinning and wiggling his fingers.
"This is perfect! I wonder if my right hand gains the power of friendship and rainbows now."
Cam snickered a bit and made a small waving motion towards Kal, like he was casting a spell. And he took it a step further and chanted one, bursting out laughing afterwards.
"In the name of sun and sky, you will be my friend tonight. Or something like that."
A normal person would've probably felt ashamed or ridiculous. But not Cam, he was just grinning and having a good time.

It was Cam's turn to groan and snicker as Kal countered his terrible pun with one of his own. Cam facepalmed, still grinning and cringing at the same time, and looked at Kal from between his fingers.
"That was...wow. That was bad. I love it. Your puns never fail to amaze me. I suc-cumber to your superiority."
It felt a bit forced but Cam wasn't about to lose this pun battle. He kept grinning, and managed to say the word suc-cumber with a straight face. More or less. He might've pfftd a bit.
Cam attached the pickle bandaid to his left arm, on his forearm. But before he did Cam tested different positions to decide, which one of them looked the best.

Cam posed a bit and adopted a feigned smug smile as Kal revealed, that he had thought of using his picture for the bandaid.
"Such a bandaid will become a weapon of mass destruction, I'm just that gorgeous."
Cam said, but with an obvious joking tone, and tried to flip his hair. But it was in a bun, unflippable, so Cam just ended up flipping hair and laughing.
"But I like this one more. Now I have two of you."
Cam grinned. He thought to point out, that to get his picture Kal only needed to google his name and pick one of his modeling pictures. But Cam had the same thought as Kal, he wanted to take a personal picture. It had much more meaning behind it.

Cam was about to suggest they enter the den of edginess when Kal reached out his arm and touched Cam's cheek. Well, to be precise he touched the bandaid. But nevertheless Cam felt butterflies in his stomach, and his breath caught a bit. Cam looked at Kal, blinking a couple of times, and fought back the urge to touch his hand the guy quickly drew back. And as Kal chuckled a bit nervously Cam found him so unbearably cute.
However, Cam put a stop to these thoughts almost immediately. This was exactly what he had meant when talking to Shiro. There was a line, and Cam wouldn't cross it. But...
He could still admire.

Cam grinned at Kal when he made another pun, and snickered a bit. He also wanted to distract himself from the brief cheek touching moment before it was all Cam could think of.
"That will certainly give me a leg up."
Pun for a pun, friend. Cam went past Kal as he opened the front door for him, sending a small thanks to him on the way, and took a second to just take the front door in. And then he looked at the interior and the part inside him that appreciated aesthetics sighed happily. Just like Kal had said, the place was edgy as hell. But it was edgy in such a beautiful way Cam wanted to applaud.
"This place looks amazing."
Cam turned to smile happily at Kal, and there was a twinkle in his eyes. He probably looked like a child that had just found their parents' candy stash.

Kal watched in amusement as the master wizard cast his great and fantastic spell on him. Shame? How could Kal even think to feel that when this fantastic wizard was casting a spell upon him. He let his jaw go slack and stared into Cam's eyes. "Yes.... I will be your friend tonight," he said in a slow, drawn out voice before breaking into laughter. "Wait, wait. We're already friends-," Kal said as he put on a fake shocked face, "that must mean you are such a great wizard I forgot what it was like to not be your friend." Right back to laughing he went.

Kal grinned at Cam's terrible pun and had no hope of holding a straight face. He immediately thought of a pun to reply with but... instead he pretended he didn't have one. Kal saw how much Cam relished the win and was willing to let him win. At least for then. Puns were a sort of recurring thing between the two of them and the worse they were the funnier they seemed to get.

Watching Cam attempt to flip his hair only to be reminded that it was up in a bun was hilarious and Kal snickered away. They were going to have to take a couple pictures at some point that day. If for no other reason than to have a record of what Cam looked like in that edgy outfit. Kal couldn't argue that Cam wasn't gorgeous. In that outfit or otherwise. "So glad I didn't make such a powerful weapon then. I have the sneaking suspicion you would have found some way to stick it to my forehead or something though," he said as he smirked at Cam. There was no doubt in his mind about what would have happened. "Just two of me? pshh. I've got a whole box of those bandaids with my face on them at home. You can have them all if you want."

Kal was still feeling weird about how he had just reached up to touch the bandaid on Cam's cheek and then he was feeling self-conscious about feeling weird and then.... well he took a breath and tried to push all that out of his mind. It was just coffee with a friend. There was no reason to be that nervous and overthink everything. Fortunately by that time they were inside the entrance of The Forbidden Zone and Cam's excitement distracted Kal form his rambling thoughts.

"I'm glad you are liking it so much," he chuckled, "Like a kid in a candy store. Well, a really creepy candy store that sells body parts and ghosts or something." He grinned and nearly put his hand on Cam's shoulder to turn him back around before he realized what he was doing. He switched it to an awkward pointing gesture instead as he indicated they should head further in and not stand in the entrance. "Come on Cam, let's find a table and get our coffees and then you can ogle the place all you want." With that he lead the way over to the counter and ordered a coffee, choosing to splurge and get it with the fog glamour on it.

Cam giggled at Kal's reaction to his friendship spell and then took on a shocked expression, looking down at the hand with the unicorn bandaid with horror.
"This power is much too great for a mortal to wield. It can even erase memories. I must hide it behind seven deadly enchantments, three hellhounds and one model who has just woken up and hasn't had their coffee. That's me, by the way."
Cam grinned and waved his hand a bit.
"After we finish drinking coffee, that is."

Cam was very much aware his puns were terrible, that all their puns were terrible. But they never failed to make them laugh and that was most important for Cam, to see Kal laugh. Even now when Kal failed to keep a straight face Cam snickered, happy with the results of his awful pun.

Cam blinked innocently, when Kal voiced his suspiciouns over what Cam would've done with a bandaid if it had Cam's face on it. Cam tried to look like he had never committed a single sin in the world, as he looked at Kal shocked.
"Me? My good sir, I would never do that, don't be silly. If you had a picture of me you would steal all the attention. I can't allow that."
Cam joked and did a small pose, laughing when Kal said he had a whole box of bandaids with his face on them.
"Were you actually planning on using them? I'll take them out of your hands, I've been getting a lot of papercuts these days and having you on my fingers to heal them sounds good to me."
Cam snickered and wiggled his fingers, which actually did have healing papercuts on them.

"Don't you know those are the best kinds of candy stores?"
Cam grinned at Kal jokingly and turned back to marvel at the interior design. Cam heaved out an actual sigh of pleasure when he saw the curtains.
"You have no idea how much I love aesthetics, Kal. And this place is heaven from aesthetic point of view."
Cam chuckled and smiled happily as he made his way to the counter, following Kal. He was grateful for the distraction, but Cam could still feel his cheek tingle where Kal had touched it.
Cam wasn't in a coffee mood so he ordered a hot chocolate with a mountain of whipped cream, that was molded into a shape of a ghoul. And on top of that red sprinkles that made it look all bloody.

Kal snickered at Cam's dramatic horrified face and his in depth plan to keep such a powerful bandaid out of the hands of those who might use it for ill. "Tell you what, i'll help you lock it away if you let me meet some of these hellhounds. I'm sure they're just big lovable goofs," he joked. He actually had met someone who was a hellhound at work. Or at least a demon man who said he was a hellhound. That wasn't exactly something you asked someone to prove when they were just coming in for a massage. That man, however was less goofy and more just.... hungry.

Kal couldn't help but laugh at Cam acting all innocent. He couldn't imagine a scenario where he was able to steal the attention from Cam. There was just no way. The man was funny, could hold a conversation with just about anyone, and Kal had to admit he was pretty good looking. Not that Kal himself looked bad, but it was the difference between someone who knew how to show off what they had and someone who really didn't have a mind for that sort of thing.

Kaliyan wasn't really planning on using those special order bandaids with his face on them but the supplier only sold them in boxes so he had to buy at least one. He had no problem handing them over to Cam for whatever nefarious purposes he might have for them. "Sure, you can have the box. Guaranteed to scare paper cuts away. Just apply my face and let the problem go away." Wow that had started to sound a little like one of those terrible infomercials just a little bit. Kal's grin kind of faded a little as he looked at Cam's fingers. That was a lot of cuts. He really, really wanted to ask why Cam was getting so cut up but he didn't want to ruin their time there getting coffee if it was something serious. The concern was probably very visible on his face but he didn't ask.

Honestly Kal didn't know a lot about aesthetics other than what his mother had taught him about setting things up to be relaxing and soothing for people at the spa. Still he loved how excited Cam was about everything. That was the important part anyway. As they placed their orders at the counter Kal noticed the barista. She was remaining expressionless and creepy like she was supposed to but she kept looking at the bandaid on Cam's cheek and then at Kal and he was pretty sure she came close to cracking a smile at the ridiculousness of it. He made sure to pay for both of their drinks.

Cam had decided not to get coffee after all. Well, Kal guessed it didn't really matter what they ordered. They would still get to spend time hanging out there and he was pretty certain that the hot chocolate would be just as good. As he led Cam over to one of the tables he turned back to comment on his hot chocolate. "You sure you can stomach that? It looks terribly ghoulish." Okay, so the joke was terrible and was a bit of a stretch to even fit right but Kal couldn't concentrate well enough to come up with a better one. Maybe once he sat down and took a sip of his drink the fog would clear from his mind a little bit.

The plush leather seats at the table set for two, nestled over in a corner were very comfortable and creaked and settled a bit as they sat down. Where they were sitting gave them a good view of the rest of the interior but Kal wasn't really super focused on the decor.

"Well I don't think the plan to make you embarrassed really worked but from the way you've been smiling and looking around it looks like this was a great choice anyway," he said as he looked at Cam's delighted face and then he brought up his cup to take a sip of his coffee. The enchanted fog billowed across his face.

Cam snickered together with Kal and started even laughing a bit when he voiced his thoughts about hellhounds. Cam had never even met a hellhound but he sure as hell wanted to now that Kal put that image in his head.
"Oh, definitely. Their names are Sunshine and Cookie Monster. I'm sure they'll love you to pieces. Not literally."
Cam held back laughter but did let out a small innocent pfft and covered his mouth with his hand, shoulders shaking slightly.

Cam snickered at Kal's infomercial tone, when he joked about the bandaids with his face on them. Cam grinned and then took an amazed expression, looking at Kal with wonder.
"Wow, amazing. Can they really do all that?"
Cam was using his best informercial tone, and barely holding his face together. Cam stepped close to Kal and nudged him with his elbow, stage whispering to him.
"And now your next line is 'But that's not all folks!'"
Cam snickered, not being able to hold himself together anymore. He had noted that Kal had looked at his fingers, and also noted the concern on his face. But Kal didn't bring the cuts up, and so Cam decided not to either. Maybe later he'd explain that Cam had just been frequenting the library lately, and all that flipping through pages as fast as he could required some sacrifices.

Cam noticed many people looking at him with amusement, including the barista, who was doing a very good job adding to the athmosphere of the place. And not cracking a smile at Cam while he was grinning along with the bandaid on his cheek was very impressive. Cam did not mind in the slightest. In fact, he embraced the sillyness as he embraced most things. Cam imagined himself on a catwalk as they walked over to the table with their cool(appearance wise, as they were in actuality hot drinks) drinks and Cam turned his head to smile and wink at a guy in the nearest table, obviously sneering and making fun of Cam. Cam's wink seemed to catch the guy off guard and he stopped looking, which made Cam grin as he sat down on the table.

Kal's joke made Cam pfft again and he sent a lopsided smile at the guy, glancing at his fog coffee.
"Your coffee doesn't look that good to me either but I'm sure it's just mist-understood. Don't fog-get, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cup-ver."
Cam dropped triple puns at Kal and snickered away, smiling mischievously at him.
"Serious for a second though, it was nice of you to pay for the drinks. But I will pay you back. Or buy you something of equal value."
Cam blew on his ghoul cocoa and sipped it, sighing a bit. It tasted so good, and the red sprinkles added a small tonge of strawberry flavour that played right along with the dark chocolate used in the cocoa.

Cam chuckled a bit at Kal's face getting shrouded in fog and kept sipping his own drink, looking around the place now with more of a keen eye and even making notes of what he would've changed.
"This place is amazing, not just the obvious edge but the dignity and how they are loyal to their theme, it amazes me. The interior design and lining of the furniture is both ergonomic and-, wait, okay, I see what I'm doing. I'm babbling."
Cam grinned, there was some hot chocolate foam on his upper lip he absently licked away.
"I'm a nut about aesthetic and interior design. I'm sure it comes from my mother, she is even worse. We once spent an entire week trying to decide the placement of the furniture in my room. Best bonding ever."
Cam chuckled, remembering how he and his mother had actually yelled at each other over whether the wardrobe should face the window or the bed.
