On the trip back, the Nephilim had a lot to think about in regards to the night. Being out in public was the last thing he wanted to do at this point honestly, so the choice to stay home and try to make things up was something a bit more feasible. So he led the way for the goblin trailing behind him. Still, Jericho had a sense of newfound hope that would suffice enough for him to have hope that the relocation to the dorm would be better. It wasn't like he could totally embarrass himself there.

Now walking down the hallway with the goblin, Jericho glanced behind him with a small smile. "It might be a bit messy in here... I think I cleaned up, but without a roommate it's hard to keep myself in check." He warned lightly, before digging trough his pocket for his keys. He pulled them out and unlocked the door, to allow the young lady in first. His room was basic, with just a simple bed, bath, and a few posters on the wall. A small couch sat in front of a TV, and a rather old system was out from earlier with a few cartridges scattered around. "Well, after you. Anything you want to do?"

Cheeto kept pace as best she could. Admittedly, his stride was longer than she was used to but life among humans had improved her stamina considerably. She gave him a smile as he warned her of his room. "You should see mine... its a train wreck. You can actually see the exact middle of the room where the mess ends." She nervously chuckled as she looked up at him. Something about his smile calmed her a bit, made things seem a bit safer, more casual.

As Jericho opened the door for her, Cheeto was quick to slip into his room. Her eyes moved over the surprisingly clean but touchingly personal room and then fell on "A Nintendo 64? Is that an N64?" Cheeto scampered over to the system and picked up a controller, looking over at Jericho with big, excited eyes. "D-Do you have Perfect Dark?" She had the biggest, most excited smile possible on her face as she practically hopped up and down in anticipation.

Being finally home brought a huge weight off his shoulders. it was almost a physical feeling too, as he rolled them to ruffle his wings a bit. At least at home he knew how things worked and how the rules were made. But he had a girl with him this time, a friend in the making. So even though he didn’t have to make himself look like a fool any longer downtown, he still had someone that he felt he needed to impress.

And so far, that was easier than anything.

He tossed his jacket over to his bed, as he ran a hand through his muddy copper hair. Already the girl looked fascinated by his little set up, to which he grinned eagerly. Jericho didn’t see himself so much of a geek, but did game from time to time. He chuckled at her joke and her eager reaction to what he had going on. Carefully, he sat on the couch behind her, as he pulled out a small container from under his bed. "Sure do." He stated, opening up the box to toss a cartridge gently to the floor next to her. "I got Mario Party, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye… Pretty much the major stuff that came out..." He listed, before sliding the box on the floor for her to have a look. A twitch of a smile came to his face. "My stepdad gave this to me when I left for the academy. It’s pretty much what we bonded over when I first got to meet him. He was surprised that even half-angels played video games, funny enough." He chuckled with the bit of a backstory, though ultimately pushed it off.

"Enough about me, though. How’d you get into video games?" He asked pensively, though he was ultimately more curious on her background. He’d never met a goblin before, and it was still mind boggling that there were other species besides humans on this island. "Oh and if you want to play anything… Be my guest."

As soon as the words came out of Jericho's mouth, Cheeto was sitting on the floor with a controller in her hands. She was looking over her shoulder, up at Jericho with a puppy eye'd expression, pouting slightly. It was almost as if she was begging Jericho to join in. He opened up a bit to her too, sharing how he got into video games. Until he joined her, Cheeto remained seated on the floor, though now she scooted herself a little closer to him and turned to fully face Jericho, responding to his question.

"Well, I had liked them ever since I was a kid. I mean, I had an internet connection and used to play video games online when I was younger. Just things like flash games and downloadable games... I kinda learned English through that too." Cheeto looked off into empty space slightly, reminiscing. "When we first came to the academy, Dorito went about her thing while I sorta... went about video games." She smiled and looked at Jericho again, though it was more of a nervous smile, like she was embarrassed. "I guess I just fell into some of the more nerdy things humans had to offer..."

An almost snarky chuckle came from the Nephilim as the goblin looked up to him, begging to be played with… In video games. Just video games. He grabbed a couple of cartridges as he scooted from the couch to sit next to her. His wings folded in slightly more to give her more space. Before he showed her his selection, he would listen to her side of the story.

So she had grown up with what would be deemed a normal human childhood. In terms of human pop culture, at least. She had learned what she knew today through video games, which was something he found admirable. He wondered what her original language was though in that instance, but it was a fleeting curiosity. He mainly was focused in the now, and what Cheeto was telling him.

"Nothing wrong with that." He smiled, as she called her endeavors nerdy. "Your interests are what makes you, well, you. As long as it makes you happy and you aren’t hurting yourself or others there’s not a thing wrong with it." He guaranteed, with a small pat to her shoulder. "For me, I keep a balance. I like to sing and play guitar. Parties and social stuff are nice too. But staying home by myself has its perks." He shrugged. With that he fanned out his cartridges. "So, whadya wanna play? Mario Kart? Goldeneye? Mario Party… You name it, I probably got it."

Cheeto beamed at Jericho's words. They seemed a little Corny but something about that affirmation, someone else confirming what you always believed deep down... His hand on her shoulder was a nice touch as well. She looked at it, hiding a small blush in doing so, her hair falling in front of her eyes. He spoke of the balance he struck in his activities, his mix of solitary and social activities. She mused out loud; "Hehe, maybe you should date both me and Dorito. Get a goblin for both?" Her voice sounded pleasant enough but deep down there was a small twinge of doubt.

She twitched when she heard Goldeneye. Cheeto's hands tensed on the controller and inhaled ever so slightly. "Goldeneye? Can we play Goldeneye?" Her eyes lit up as she turned to him once more. She was almost glowing. In fact, there was a slight glow. Her power had made a small luminescent sheen around her. She must really like Goldeneye.

A thought came to mind as she suddenly got a more playful smile. "Hey, I got an idea. After we get all set up, wanna do a deathmatch? Just a one versus one romp on some map, but..." Her smile became a bit of a grin, as though sharing some conspiratorial secret. "Whoever gets a kill gets to ask a question, and whoever gets killed has to answer truthfully!" The sheen around her sparked up a bit, as though driven by her barely contained enthusiasm.

Sure, he knew what he said was sappy and whatever. He wanted to assure her though that she shouldn't care what other people thought. He slightly did, but Jericho only cared if people thought he was a halfway decent person. What he liked or did was his and only his experience. Forget the others. Her comment about dating both the twins because of his philosophy had him grinning slightly. Not like he was ready to take on that offer yet, but it did have him thinking. "You sure that ain't illegal?" He chuckled, though was kidding. "Gotta say though, I like the options." At least he was versatile. If he ever was in a relationship, he had to consider who'd be able to make them both happy.

Whatever would happen would be put off. For now, it was gaming time. It looked like she was excited for Goldeneye. He hadn't played this game in years, so perhaps she would be at an advantage. "Okay okay, just let me get-" His laughing voice was cut off by her sudden... Glowing? Was she really glowing? He jumped vaguely in his seat and stared at her wide-eyed. "W-woah, dude! You're glowing!" He pointed out, in awe. He hadn't seen that before, and he wondered what caused it. Was it happiness? Excitement? If so, did that mean he hadn't done that for we before? He didn't take it personally though. He was just satisfied that she was.

"Guess you're hyped up for this huh. Let's get to it then." He smirked as he picked up the cartridge, jamming it into the slot for it to slide in place. A swipe of his finger had his console on, and soon to the main menu. He scooted over the old controller, nudging it to her hand. Just as he did so she proposed to him a challenge. And it was certainly one he couldn't pass up. "Ah, so a 20 questions basically Huh? Alright, you're on. But prepared to be interrogated, since I'm the one that's gonna kick your butt." Would he really? Jericho was rusty as hell. And even in his prime playing this game he was terrible. So perhaps he'd be the one answering all the questions.

Naturally of course after the round was started, Jericho found himself fumbling to shoot and navigate around the map. With a slip of his thumb on the analog stick he found himself killed, of course by the hands of the goblin beside him. "Ahh, dammit!" He grumbled. He pressed to pause the game, before looking at the goblin. He smiled a bit bitterly, but all was in good fun. "Alright Miss Cheeto. Lay it on me. Whadya wanna know about this Nephilim?"

The glow around Cheeto vanished suddenly when she was made aware of it. She seemed to shrink away, suddenly, flinching slightly and looking away as she blushed slightly in embarrassment. "S-S-Sorry... M-my... My power acts up when I get excited..." She gave a nervous laugh before trying to regain eye contact with Jericho. "I... Well... I have trouble keeping it in check when I get... excited." She didn't mean for it to sound like a double entendre, but somehow it did. However, she picked up the video game controller and tried to regain her composure.

Cheeto was in her element. She spent many a night playing and replaying Perfect Dark, which was Goldeneye 2.0, more or less. She had inexperience with the levels and some of the weapons, but her confidence was building. This was a new Cheeto compared to the awkward girl from the restaurant. "Y-Y'know... If you want we can even go full 'truth or dare' with this, and the loser might have to do something the winner says as well." She grinned a bit more, turning to look at Jericho as she spoke. "What do you say?" Before there was any time for Jericho to respond, he appeared on Cheeto's screen and she snapped to it with reflexes honed by many Friday nights without dates or homework!

She was still able to score the first kill and the first question, but what to ask? Something had been bugging Cheeto for a while so she decided to go right for it. "You seemed a little off at the restaurant. Is something up? I mean- if I was doing something wrong..." She looked a little distracted, fretting over if she had done something to embarrass or offend Jericho.

"That's really cute." Jericho admitted to her, as she doubted herself for showing off her powers accidentally. He had done the same exact thing before. Got too mad and glasses broke. Got too excited and windows flew open. It made people think the house was possessed whenever they were over, and as humorous as it was to see their reactions they often didn't come back again. Still, most of this was seen as endearing by Jericho. Cheeto had no reason to be ashamed of herself. He raised a hand to pat her shoulder. Kindly, and softly. "Never hesitate to be true to yourself around me. I won't mind. After all, that's what this school is all about. Don't wanna sin against the number one rule or anything." He looked at her with a grin. Before turning back to screen, with his character's dead body displayed. To raise the stakes Cheeto cast forth another suggestion. To this, Jericho grinned.

"Truth or dare, huh? Look at you taking chances. I like that." He laughed a bit, before looking down at his controller. In thought. She had the upper hand here. So hopefully she didn't find out too much about him. Or prod into places he kept secret in his mind. "Sure, we can do that. Let's raise the stakes." But first, he had her question to return. The question that faded his smile and sent a hand to run through his hair.

"No, no... It wasn't you at all... I..." Jericho cleared his throat. How could he explain it without sounding like a creep? "Well, to tell you the truth... I wasn't being myself. I don't know why. I mean I've gone on tons of dates before, but this time... Well, my mind sort of um... Went to think of dirty things. But I couldn't control it! It felt like something... Someone... Was planting things into my head. Does that sound crazy? Yea... Probably does." He muttered out, his confident tone becoming awkward. As his face turned red, he picked back up the controller. To unpause and keep playing. Fortunately this time he managed to sneak around a corner, and successfully take down Cheeto. It was sheer luck that managed to have him smiling once more.

"My turn, ah... Truth, or dare?" And they were going to do questions still? Alright, he had one. "As for my question... Well, what makes you most happy?" Hopefully that will take that awkward burnout away from him.

Cheeto tried to get a bit more into the Zone when the stakes were raised. However, Jericho's answer to her question certainly threw her off her game. First date and already he was... fantasizing? Something at the back of her mind was... Did Dorito do this? No, no she couldn't have! She wasn't even there, she left after shoving Cheeto through the door into the restaurant! But... Cheeto swallowed hard and gave a nervous laugh, starting to blush heavily. "Hehehehe, I just have that effect on people, I guess..." She tried to sound confident but her heart was racing.

Her focus was shaken so much that she slipped up. She slipped up very bad. In fact she got herself absolutely shot to death. Jericho asked her what made her most happy. What made her most happy. "What makes me most happy? Well..." Cheeto took some time to really think about it. "I... usually feel really comfortable when I'm alone." She choked on that sentence a bit. "I mean- I'm not good with... large crowds, or even small crowds. And there were times where I've felt crowded in, so..." She turned to look at Jericho with a bit more of a sincere smile, sharing stuff like this always made it easier to smile. "I like reading and doing school stuff or studying because its something I can do on my own, whenever I want. I like having things I can do on my own terms, you know?"

She wasn't even aware she had respawned in the game, she wasn't even looking at the screen anymore, but smiling up at Jericho. Though her next statement sounded a little more embarrassed, like she was aware of the tone shift. "C-Can I please have something to drink?"
