He landed silently, his wings vanishing as he did. It was a normal Sunday, and like most weekends he was going to going to spend it with his girlfriend.

The young horseman moved up to the door and knocked. Needless to say, he really cared about Summer he'd never hidden that.

The monks at the shrines had been very friendly, leading them to Summer's little room with relative ease. Hers was like a little bungalow, made out of modern materials. The young woman answered the door, looking like a mess. Her small body looked frail, paler. Judging by the glaze over her eyes, she had had a vision within the past week. Knowing that no one would be allowed this far, she was certain she could answer the door safely.

Looking at her, she was a mess. Her short hair was not brushed, her clothing wrinkled. Dressed in a plain black tank top and a pair of loose shorts, she looked like she had either been working out or sleeping. Behind her was a bed within sight lines, also messy from where she likely came up. There were dark circles beneath her eyes, and all of her piercings lacked the metal for them. Reaching out, she made sure someone was actually there. The tips of her fingers brushed against his shirt, and she hummed to confirm.

Her voice was raspy, like she was sick, as she spoke up. "What'd'ya need? And who are you?" She asked, rubbing at one of her blind eyes.

A concerned look crossed his face as the door open, Summer didn't look well. "It's me, John," he said taking her hand and squeezing it gently.

He could tell she had had another vision, she was temporarily blind. "You sound sick," he lifted her hand and kissed it. "Heard there's a bug going around," he had noticed quite a few kids at school were sick too.

"Come on," he said, genuine concern in his voice, "let's get you inside, I'll make you some hot tea."

Summers face lit up when the person identified themselves. She wanted to hug him, give him a kiss maybe. But she was sick and she didn't want him to catch it since it seems to be spreading much quicker than colds at her old school. The young woman shrugged slightly, her face heating up at the kiss though it was unclear if it was from embarrassment or her illness.

"Yeah. I think I've caught it, unfortunately." She confessed, feeling him lead her back inside. "I really don't think I'm that sick. The monks have pretty much grounded me and I've more or less been chugging medication. I'll be fine, okay?"

She seemed to be able to wander the room relatively easily despite her temporary loss of sight. Sitting back down on her bed, she ran her fingers through her hair. "I probably look like a mess, huh? Should've cleaned up the place but visions can be a Bitch."

John quickly went about, putting water on to boil for the tea, "yea, a few teachers got it, so some classes were canceled." He looked at her, "I know, you're tougher than any bug. What do the monks think of me out of curiosity?"

Sitting down beside her, he kissed her cheek, sick or not he didn't care, "you look fine," they hadn't kissed on the lips yet, not counting the kiss he'd stolen at the New Year's party. "No talking down about yourself."

"Should've called me, I would have picked up a few things," he hugged her a bit, "the tea should help with your cough though." He wanted to make sure she was ok, "the shop I work at is closed tomorrow, so I'm free to hang out."

The young woman could not help but smile at her boyfriends care for her, listening to him talk about the classes. She felt that alot of people were getting this - wondering if maybe she had been the one who brought it too the school. No, probably not. People were sick before she came down with it, she wondered who was patient zero..

She was embarrassed still at her appearance, pulling her legs up to her chest. Draping her own blanket across her shoulders, Summer gazed off into the distance - or at least she looked like she did. There was not much to look at when she was just sitting there without her sight for the week. As he walked back, she gave him a hug happily.

"Thank you, John. I just didn't want to worry you - it's just a cold and a headache. The only real problem is the blindness but that's also temporary. Summer told him, "Thank you for coming by. I'd ask if you want to hang out tomorrow but you'll get sick. I hear the school is having students wear masks and sanitize a lot to avoid the spreading." Summer tugged at the blanket around her shoulders, looking in the general direction she thought her boyfriend was. After the tea was finished, she swatted at the air like she was trying to get him to come over to her.

"Sorry but I'm still coming tomorrow," he smiled at her, "I can't really get sick anyways, remember, I heal. Well sorta, I stay healthy anyways." He poured her a mug of the hot tea.

Walking over to her, he sat beside her, "I got your tea, careful, it's hot." Taking her hand he set the handle into her fingers, "I remember my mom teaching me how to make this, always good for sore throats."

Chuckling, he brushed a strand of hair from her face, "never told you this, but I was super nervous when I was planning to ask you out." He wrapped his arm around her waist in a hug, being careful sense she had hot tea.

"That's exactly why I'm concerned. I don't usually get sick - my body regenerates much faster than a normal persons does. And one of my fathers is the god of medicine." Summer stressed to him, her voice still scratchy from her throat and from the lack of lubrication since she did just woke up. Being a mouth breather fucking sucked but it was something she just had to deal with. Taking the cup, she sipped at it eagerly to sooth her scratchy throat, letting out a hum in satisfaction at the soothing effect.

She just smiled slightly down at the cup. Her mom always stressed chamomile tea or hot water with honey and lemon when her throat was sore. Always thought it worked because her throat would clear up in a day or so.. The thought made her smile turn softer and sadder. The young demigod curled up to her boyfriend in search of the cool aura he gave off, her body overheating because of her sickness. With two countering aspects, Summer needed constant balance or else her body went into a frenzy. This sickness was reeking havoc on her system.

"I mean, I hope you were nervous." Summer told him, sipping at the drink. "Anyone who's not nervous around you when they flirt with you is not someone you should go with." She would never admit she read that from a tumblr post. But it was a valid point. Summer was conflicted since she did not want what she had to spread to John but she enjoyed his presence..

Chuckling he wrapped his arms around her, being careful not to spill her tea, "don't worry, I mean, if I'm going to get sick I'm probably already infected."

"Yea that makes sense," he gently rested his cheek against the top of her head. "Got lucky, meeting a great girl," he really liked her, wasn't going to stop spending time with her just because she's sick.

He kissed the top of her head, "we could stock up on cold medicine and junk food," he said laughing a bit, "wait out the epidemic," he gave her free hand a gentle squeeze, "most of my classes are canceled anyways."
