"No, I didn't..." Dalia sighed. This was harder than she had thought it would be. She leaned forward on the table, resting her elbows on it.

"No, I don't want a favor from you. I did it because when you get released, it'll be nice to have a group to come back to. Being alone sucks. And when you get out, I don't want you to have to deal with that. Because I know it sucks firsthand."

Aedes seems, suspicious of Dalia... then clacks her fingernails against the surface of the desk as they think over Dalia's words. Such selflessness was... something Aedes struggled to comprehend. Always thinking in ways of using others to position herself higher up on the social ladder that helping someone for the sake of it was a... foreign concept to her. Though part of her didn't want to accept... once she was out of this prison she had almost no one else waiting for her back at the school. How said that of all the people to care about her it would be her arch nemesis of sorts.

"So... what... you just feel sorry for me? Seeing some version of you in me that you want to fix like some bad memory? Well what if I want to be alone? What if I don't want to deal with people because dealing with people... sucks." lamented Aedes, her crossed arms clutching tightening around herself as though giving herself a hug "People who have their own lives ahead of them and don't know what to do with it while I am just trying to make the most of every precious second I have. Its not... fucking fair..."

"I do feel sorry for you," Dalia admitted. She really didn't have much to lose with Aedes. Even if she said she didn't hate her, with the way they had treated each other in the past they might as well have. She leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms defiantly.

But that last bit, something about it struck a cord with Dalia, hitting her hard. "I... know what that's like. I don't know if you were around really but... at some point I was dying. Like, the doctors basically said my DNA was unzipping because it didn't want to be together. My immortality, my regeneration, none of that helped."

There was another pause, this one far more uncomfortable than the last one. "Are... are you..." she didn't want to say the words. Dalia's eyes welled up. She was on the verge of tears because if that was true. If Aedes was dying, then she understood her way better than she ever had. And that hurt a lot more than Dalia had expected it to.

"Then you must know what it feels like... to feel your fleeting mortality passing by at the beating of ticking clock." stated Aedes, looking at a nearby clock hanging on the wall and makes a click noise with her tongue. After grimacing at the clock, she then gives Dalia a sour look as they snort "But... you got better. Didn't you... well good for you. And yes... I am slowly dying but... but... are you? Are you seriously crying right now?"

Aedes was in shock... part of her almost wanted to poke fun at Dalia for being a cry baby but honestly she was too... surprised to even say anything. When she could finally find the words to speak they felt weak to even say them.

"W-what the hells? Why are you crying? Your not crying over me now are you?"

"Of course I'm crying, you moron," Dalia said with something like a laugh, rubbing at her eyes to try and push the tears back behind them. Dalia slowly got up out of her seat, glancing at the window where she knew a guard was watching the two of them. He could come in and drag her away if he wanted, but she was still going to get up.

Dalia moved around the table with deliberate purpose, opening her arms to hug Aedes. She didn't give the mosquito a choice in the matter and embraced her as tightly as she could without hurting her. "You're a dumbass, Aedes. Of course I'm crying over you. That's not fair... it's not fair and I won't have it."

At first, Aedes thought Dalia was laughing at the prospect of her approaching death like a sick freak. Before she could rationalize what was going on and call Dalia out, Dalia suddenly got up and walked closer to her.

"W-what are you-" before Aedes could protest, she was suddenly... hugged by Dalia? She didn't know what to do in this situation so she just... let it happen. While it may have looked sweet and endearing... Aedes couldn't help but wonder why Dalia felt so grossly warm. Ick.

"Uhh... yeah it is... unfair... okay... what is this that your doing?"

"I'm hugging you, you dumbass," Dalia said with an exasperated laugh, burying her face in Aedes' hair. "I'm sorry, I know it's weird. I'm just really physical and I needed to hug you."

She took a step back when she heard a tap on the window, giving the mirrored glass an apologetic smile and brushing her hair back behind her ears.

Dalia sat back down, clasping her hands together over the table as she struggled to look at Aedes but not stare. "I want to- I mean, I'll come visit you again before you get out, if you want. But only if you want me to. But once you're out, we're hanging out."

It wasn't a question, more like an assurance. Not asking, but telling. Dalia grinned through her tear glistened eyes at Aedes, already resolving herself to find a way to help her.

Their time was probably almost up though, and she didn't know what else to say at the moment. So she left the floor open for the girl sitting across from her.

"I know what a hug is idiot!" said Aedes as she raised her voice. After she was release from Dalia's treacherous clutches she brushes herself off of Dalia's germs and grumbled "I just... don't understand your compulsion to hug. I mean I know I am awesome and all but... personal space much? Gosh you are so weird... I would have squirmed out of that if it weren't for this stupid bracelet."

After she voiced her complaints, Aedes huffs and slumps in her chair. She was unsure of what to make of Dalia's suggestion... or even just Dalia in general? Why is she acting like... a friend? It churned her stomach thinking about it because she had no idea how she felt about her and Dalia being... friends.

"Sounds like your not giving me much of the choice in the matter..." ruminated Aedes, striking a thoughtful pose before relenting "... fine... I guess we can try hanging out after this all over and end with."

Aedes then checks the side of her pocket as she had some several times before to see if her phone was there. Of course it wasn't so she instead starts tapping her fingers on the table in annoyance. As their allotted time nears its end, Aedes eyes the clock.

"... and you can come visit me again... if you want. Ever since they took away my phone and cut me off of social media its... its been... lonely... in here..."

Dalia shrugged. "I'm just naturally inclined to touch. I dunno, it just feels like a more natural way to express myself. Always has. And then her smile turned into a wider, cheeky grin. "And nope. No choice. You're stuck hanging out with me. Maybe I'll see if Orsick wants to come too."

Her smile fell a bit though and Dalia got a bit more serious. "I am really sorry that you're going through all this. It's not pity. I just... get it. Thanks for actually talking to me though. If you need anything, just let me know next time I visit and I'll try to help you out."

She slowly slid out of her chair, putting her jacket back on over her cheer uniform. She looked at the window, nodding at the officer she knew was there so he could come unlock the door and let her out. "Bye Aedes. I'll see you soon. Just... try not to think about how much longer you have and it'll be over before you know it."

"Ughh... well express yourself in a way that is less physical okay? Or at least inform me when you are about do so." groaned Aedes, whom then lets out a heavy sigh. "I'll... consider your offer to help. And yeah... see ya later Dalia."

With Dalia's departure, Aedes just watch the door she just exited for a few moments, tapping her foot as she thinks about something. Shortly after she just gets up, unsure what to feel or how to feel as she is then escorted out the room.
