Ria could feel Ain start to falter and she pushed her body to do one last stand to get Ain off of her. But she ended up pushing too hard and before she could stop it her fist struck Ain to the face. It was a hard punch and Ria felt an immediate flash of regret. She always did when she used her power how she didn't wish to. As Ain fell to the grass next to her Ria could feel this was the end of their spar and she leaned over Ain slightly, observing the damage done to his face. Broken lip, but Ria couldn't see other damage in the darkness. Unlike Ain Ria didn't have night vision. But she saw how Ain smiled and looked at her kindly, and she could somehow sense that he was giving her this victory. Ria smiled back slightly, and nodded.
"This was a good spar. Thank you, Ain."
Ria was pretty sure this was the first time she called the man by his name.
Ria with her fox's hearing could hear the monsters circling the clearing, and she whipped her head when a branch snapped loudly somewhere behind her. But none of the beasts entered the clearing, thankfully. Ria shakily stood up, she wasn't in the condition to return back through the woods. Her coating was not back to it's see-through state, as this spar had purged all her aggression. Ria reached out her hand to Ain to help him up.
"I can't return through the woods now, that would be a suicide. Would you allow me to stay outside your cottage until morning?"
Thankfully Ria didn't have early lectures and she worked at night, and the curse on her sister had already been broken.
